The guests gathered there to watch the unfolding scene. All eyes were on him. Comments were flying from every corner.

“Wow, isn’t that Alexis Blaise?”

“I didn’t expect Fiona to invite Alexis.”

“Alexis is so handsome and rich. He is a perfection.”

Alexis turned to his driver as he asked. “Hey, where is my rose bouquet?”

The driver quickly handed him the bouquet of roses. A bright smile spread across Alexis’ face as he walked toward Fiona.

Alexis gently took Fiona’s hand and kissed it. “You look so beautiful, baby,” he complimented her.

Fiona couldn’t help but blush. “Thank you.” Her voice was soft.

“I got this for you, my pretty girl!” Alexis spoke as he handed her the bouquet of roses.

She couldn’t contain her joy and stepped closer to embrace Alexis. The man returned her hug with a beaming smile.

Gabriel trembled at the unpleasant scene before him. “Why are they hugging so affectionately?” he muttered under his breath.

With rage within him, Gabriel threw his doll on the floor and then walked towards them.

He pushed Alexis’ body away from Fiona. “Sorry dude, but why are you hugging my girlfriend?” he exclaimed.

Gabriel's action sent Alexis stumbling backward, but he swiftly steadied himself. His eyes flashed with fury looking at Gabriel. “What? Did he just say that you’re his girlfriend?” His gaze shifted to Fiona.

Fiona let out a frustrated sigh. She approached Alexis and wrapped her arms around him. Alexis returned Fiona’s touch by putting his hand around her waist, but his stern face remained.

“Don’t listen to him, babe. You know that I’m a campus beauty. Of course, every guy dreams of being my boyfriend,” Fiona replied as she chuckled, trying to lighten the tense atmosphere.

Alexis smirked. “Yes, of course. My girlfriend is the most beautiful girl on campus,” he complimented.

Alexis proudly announced to everyone watching them. “You must all be wondering about my relationship with Fiona. I hereby announce that we are a couple. We officially became a couple 1 week ago.”

This declaration brought admiration and cheers from the onlookers. Various comments flew from every corner.

“Wow, they’re going to be the hottest couple in town.”

“They make a great couple.”

“Alexis is handsome and rich, while Fiona is beautiful and popular. The perfect combination for a couple.”

“Famous as a single hot girl, now Fiona has a man as rich as Alexis. Being beautiful is indeed very fun!”

Hearing various compliments, Alexis and Fiona showed their affection even more. They made everyone who saw them feel jealous, but not Gabriel.

Gabriel’s hands clenched tightly and his jaw tightened. His patience was wearing thin. He stepped closer to Fiona to demand an explanation.

“Fiona, what do you mean? Why did you accept him as your boyfriend, whereas we’ve been dating for a year? Have you forgotten that?” Gabriel exclaimed.

She let out a smirk. “Gabriel, but I’ve never felt like I was in a relationship with you. We only know each other as ordinary campus friends, nothing more. So, I hope you keep your delusion and get out of here. Don’t make a scene at my birthday party!” she ordered.

Gabriel snorted. He took out his cellphone and showed his photos with Fiona.

“You can argue that you are not my girlfriend, but I have strong evidence!” Gabriel let out a smug smile.

Fiona was silent for a moment with worry, but she remained a calm face. Meanwhile, Alexis observed the photos shown by Gabriel.

“Baby, look at what he did! I was just kind enough to accept his request to take a photo, but he thought that I liked him. And what's worse, he considered me as his girlfriend. This is an insult,” said Fiona as if she was a victim here.

Alexis pushed Gabriel's phone away and hugged Fiona's waist tighter, showing that Fiona was only his. “I know honey, he is nothing more than a delusional boy. He has gone too far!” he derided while glancing at Gabriel.

Gabriel's eyes darkened. “Fiona, I never thought you would do this to me! Was all my effort not enough for you? I spent 70 percent of my salary to buy whatever you asked for. I was even willing to eat only a piece of bread just to buy you your dress two weeks ago!” he protested.

Fiona rolled her eyes in annoyance. “You talk as if you’ve given me the world. Look at what Alexis has given me. A week ago, he gave me a car as a gift for our official relationship. And now, he’s throwing me a birthday party this lavish,” she stated haughtily.

Disappointment and anger were reflected in Gabriel’s eyes. “Oh, so just because I can’t give you a car and a lavish party, you’re cheating on me?” he shot.

“Sure, why not? Do you think someone like you deserves me? Look at how you compare to Alexis,” Fiona replied in a condescending tone. She stared at Gabriel’s outfit in contempt. “Look at yourself, you even look like a bum at a party like this,” she continued mockingly.

Gabriel was about to speak, but an annoyed Alexis suddenly approached Gabriel and pushed him to the floor.

“Get out of here, loser! Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror? A beautiful lady like Fiona doesn’t deserve to be with you!” he yelled.

Gabriel got up from his fall with anger written all over his face. He landed a punch on Alexis’ face, sending him sprawling to the floor.

“Alexis!” Fiona screamed with worry evident on her face.

Gabriel continued his attack. He walked up to Alexis and pulled his body, then landed a punch on his stomach.

“Arghh!” Alexis screamed in pain.

As Gabriel was about to launch another attack, Alexis managed to catch his hand, turning him around while twisting his hand.

Alexis brought his face close to Gabriel’s ear. He whispered. “You must have no idea who you’re dealing with. Someone like you will regret what you’ve done.”

Showing no fear, Gabriel’s jaw tightened with rage. He huffed and gave a brave reply. “What should I be afraid of from you? Someone who’s arrogant just because of their parents’ big names? You must be nothing if you’re not born into a rich family.”

Alexis chuckled in a mockery tone. “Yeah, thanks to my family who gave me all this wealth and power. You must be so jealous of me because Fiona chose me over you. Ah actually, it’s not just Fiona, everyone in this world must have made the same decision,” he retorted.

Everyone seemed excited and eager to watch the match, except Louis and Joseph, who were still worried about Gabriel.Louis tried to call Gabriel, but there was no answer."What happened to him? Maybe he went home early?" Joseph stated as he let out a heavy sigh."He didn't answer my call. But the call connected, so I guess he must be somewhere, either still in this building or back at the dorm," Louis replied."I think his idea was a bit crazy. How could the organizers allow him to join as a contestant? He doesn't even have any experience as a fighter," Joseph stated."Do you think the event manager took Gabriel somewhere?" Louis surmised. The emcee's announcement of the 12 fighters' arrival on stage diverted their attention. The contestants wer

Who is he?” one of the men asked. The manager smiled faintly as he introduced Gabriel to them. “His name is Gabriel, and he came here to participate. I already told him he wasn’t fit to be a participant in this event, but he insisted. Therefore, I will give him a chance to show his abilities here,” he explained. The men grinned as they stared at Gabriel with disdain. Gabriel might be an athletic young man, but his boldness was amusing to them.Gabriel remained unfazed. • Chapter 212 - A Difficult Registration

Mr. Nowak chuckled as he stared at Gabriel. “You are such a funny person, Gabriel. I know you are being blinded by the 200,000-dollar prize.” He thought Gabriel was just joking.“Well, I’m very serious about this, sir. I’d like to join this, not for the prize, but for the adrenaline. I want to see if I can fight those fighters,” Gabriel stated with a firm resolve.Worry appeared on Mr. Nowak’s face. He had been watching matches like this for over a decade every year, so he could tell what the situation was like inside. There had never been a young man competing, or even an amateur fighter competing in the arena.“Gabriel, you are such an amateur young man. I know you are athletic now, but that doesn’t mean you are fit to participate in the event. It’s too dangerous for you,” stated Mr. Nowak in concern.Meanwhile, Joseph and Louis said nothing. They would support whatever decision Gabriel made. Gabriel let out a reassuring smile as he spoke. “Don’t worry, sir, I’ll be okay, I promise.

“Sabrina Locke? Is that a doctor’s daughter?” Louis responded.Sabrina was a popular student, and although Louis hadn’t been in the same class with her, he knew her.“Yeah, her dad is a doctor. When I was about to go into the manager’s office, she suddenly came out crying. She said she was laid off, but when I asked further, she just left without giving me an answer,” Joseph explained.Gabriel’s frown deepened. He was worried that Sabrina would tell Joseph about the incident two days earlier at the hospital. “So, she didn’t say anything more about why she got fired?” he asked.“No, she didn’t.”Gabriel breathed a sigh of relief. Although Sabrina had no idea of his true identity, the story of her being fired due to Gabriel’s report could have aroused suspicion among his friends. Luckily, she didn’t tell Joseph.“Okay, guys, you better get ready because I’ll be back at the dorm soon, and after that, we’re going to a fried chicken restaurant,” Joseph instructed, and then the call ended.

"I'm going to attend a job interview at this company as a consultant."Sabrina's jaw dropped as her eyes widened in shock. "What the hell! So they fired me and want someone like you to replace me?"He frowned, unable to comprehend what Sabrina was saying. "Wait, wait, what do you mean? Joseph frowned as he responded. “The Star Task? Are you kidding me? Are you referring to a company that is part of The Dragon Lord Group?"Gabriel nodded, though Joseph couldn’t see his gesture directly. “Yes! It seems you already know about that company, so the interview will go more smoothly,” he assured.Joseph sighed heavily. He seemed pessimistic about Gabriel’s offer, even though it sounded like a job at the company with a significant salary.“Gabriel, but I don’t think The Star Task will accept someone like me,” his words dripped with pessimism.“Why not? You haven’t even tried, so why be so pessimistic? Come on, Joseph, you have to try this opportunity! I’m rooting for you! I believe you can pass it.”Shaking off his hesitation, Joseph decided. “Okay, I’ll try applying there. Now what do I need to prepare? I need The Star Task’s email address to send my application.”"You don't have to do that. You can come there tomorrow at 4 p.m.," Gabriel explained."Are you serious? So I j
