Fiona and her friends sat at a table near the entrance so they could clearly see Gabriel and his 2 friends coming.

Gabriel realized Fiona’s presence there, but he acted as if he didn’t see her. Likewise with Louis and Joseph who acted indifferent. They made their way to an empty table.

In their shock, Fiona and her friends looked at each other.

“Hey, did you see him? Isn’t that Gabriel Bruhn?” exclaimed Penelope.

“What are he and his nerd friends doing here?” Barbara chimed in as she frowned.

Fiona shrugged her shoulders in disgust. “I don’t know what they’re doing here, but their presence has definitely changed the atmosphere.” Annoyance was clearly visible on her face.

“I think he came here to show that he’s on par with Alexis,” Penelope guessed, and then they burst out into laughter.

Fiona snorted. “Huh, keep dreaming!”

Although located on campus, Premium Cafeteria carried the concept of a luxury restaurant. If a canteen usually has a self-service system, but in the Premium Cafeteria there were several waiters and waitresses who were ready to serve customers.

A waitress rushed to Gabriel’s table while carrying a menu book. She gave 2 menu books for one table and let them choose the menu.

Seeing this, Fiona interfered. “Hey, Amanda! What are you doing there?” She looked at the waitress named Amanda.

Amanda’s gaze turned to Fiona. “I’m serving them, Miss. Do you need help?” she asked politely.

Fiona shook her head. “No, but I just want to tell you to stay away from them. You better kick them out now or you’ll regret it!”

Amanda looked puzzled. “But why, Miss? They are customers, and as a waitress, it is my duty to serve every customer.”

A sly smile appeared on Fiona’s face. “Don’t you know who they are? They are known as campus broke boys. In all the years of working here, isn’t this the first time you’ve seen them come here? Do you think campus-broke boys like them can afford the food here?” she taunted.

Amanda looked at Gabriel and his friends, and doubt appeared on her face. “You are right, Miss. I’ve never seen them before.”

Gabriel’s eyes darkened with anger. He sighed, then spoke in a calm tone.

“I hope you don’t easily believe that windbag,” Gabriel quipped. He glanced at Fiona as he continued his words. “By coming here, it means we can afford the food,” he stated in a firm tone.

“That’s right, this is indeed our first time coming here. But that doesn’t mean we’re like what she said,” Joseph chimed in, supporting Gabriel.

“I hope you work professionally and don’t discriminate against customers,” Louis hoped.

Feeling that she didn’t get any support, Fiona turned to her friends. “Don’t be silent like a fool! Help me convince her to kick them out,” she commanded.

Barbara and Penelope immediately raised their voices to support Fiona’s statement.

“Amanda, do you just believe them? The man in the black shirt ruined Fiona’s birthday party on Saturday night. Trust us, he came here with the same purpose,” conveyed Barbara.

“We just want to tell you before it’s too late,” Penelope added with a very convincing expression.

This dispute attracted the attention of other customers. The atmosphere there became tense.

“Amanda, what are you waiting for?” Fiona exclaimed.

Affected by their words, Amanda hesitantly took the menu book that was on Gabriel’s table. When she was about to leave, suddenly a middle-aged woman who had just come stopped her.

“I heard a commotion here. What’s going on?” asked Bertha, the owner of Premium Cafeteria. She was in her office room when she heard the commotion.

A sly smile formed on Fiona's face as she confidently pointed at Gabriel.

"Bertha, I'm telling Amanda that those 3 boys won't afford to eat here. They just came here to play around. I don't want her to waste her time, so I hope she kicks them out before it's too late," Fiona explained.

Bertha's gaze shifted to Gabriel. She recognized Gabriel's face and remembered that he was the son of the late Nathan Bruhn.

Considering Gabriel was the son of a cleaner, Bertha also had doubts if he could afford to eat here.

Bertha approached Gabriel's table. She put on a sincere smile and tried not to hurt his feelings.

"Aren't you the son of the late Nathan Bruhn?" Bertha asked politely.

Gabriel was momentarily silent, then he nodded. Even though he had found his biological father, Nathan Bruhn was still his father.

"Yes, Mam. I am Nathan Bruhn's son, Gabriel Bruhn."

"The last time I met Nathan was about six years ago. After that, I was abroad and heard the news that he had passed away." There was sadness on her face as she spoke. “I saw you when you were still in high school. I still remember you, but I don’t think you remember me,” she continued.

Gabriel let out a small chuckle. “Yes, Mam. I don’t remember but I think you are such a nice person.”

Seeing the interaction between Gabriel and Bertha, Fiona’s temper escalated. This was not something what she expected.

“Bertha, I warn you that he came here to mess up this place. He even showed up uninvited at my birthday party and messed it up. He is not a nice person,” Fiona spoke in a convincing tone.

Affected by Fiona’s words, Bertha did not want to take any risks. Moreover, Fiona was a loyal customer of Premium Cafeteria, so her voice was more matters.

Bertha’s gaze met Gabriel’s. “Excuse me young man, but it seems like you and your two friends should leave this place immediately,” she ordered in a polite tone.

Gabriel shook his head. “Please listen to me, Mam. What she said is not true. My friends and I came here to eat. And we can pay, so there is no reason to kick us out,” he explained.

“But Gabriel, we just don’t want any commotion here. So please get out of here,” Bertha pleaded.

“If you want this commotion to end, why don’t you kick them out?” Gabriel asked while pointing at Fiona’s table. “They are the ones who have been making a commotion here, while my friends and I are just choosing the menu,” he continued in peeved expression.

Fiona huffed. “Do you think a regular customer like me will be kicked out of this restaurant so easily? This is even your first time coming here but you are so haughty. I wonder what menu you ordered. Or maybe, you just ordered a glass of water?” she mocked followed by laughter from the people in the restaurant.

Gabriel’s hands clenched tightly as his jaw tightened. He would not let Fiona continue to belittle him.

With a smirk, he retorted. “Never mind the cheapest menu, but I can pay for all the food in this restaurant. I will pay all the bills from the customers here right now!”

His hand hesitantly reached for it.Seeing no reaction, Gabriel picked it up from the table. He skimmed the text. The writing was in ink, handwritten. It was written in modern, but formal language."How can I open this book? The event manager said no one can open this book," Gabriel muttered, feeling confused. With one hand still holding the book, he picked up his cell phone and immediately dialed the manager of the charity gala event. Do they know that what they’re doing is like digging their grave? They’ve violated my son’s privacy, and they will face the consequences.”“It’s okay, son, I’ll sue the hotel! We will definitely win,” Mrs. Klaussen reassured her son.A smug smile crept across his face. “Yes, I know, Mom.
