Fiona and her friends sat at a table near the entrance so they could clearly see Gabriel and his 2 friends coming.
Gabriel realized Fiona’s presence there, but he acted as if he didn’t see her. Likewise with Louis and Joseph who acted indifferent. They made their way to an empty table. In their shock, Fiona and her friends looked at each other. “Hey, did you see him? Isn’t that Gabriel Bruhn?” exclaimed Penelope. “What are he and his nerd friends doing here?” Barbara chimed in as she frowned. Fiona shrugged her shoulders in disgust. “I don’t know what they’re doing here, but their presence has definitely changed the atmosphere.” Annoyance was clearly visible on her face. “I think he came here to show that he’s on par with Alexis,” Penelope guessed, and then they burst out into laughter. Fiona snorted. “Huh, keep dreaming!” Although located on campus, Premium Cafeteria carried the concept of a luxury restaurant. If a canteen usually has a self-service system, but in the Premium Cafeteria there were several waiters and waitresses who were ready to serve customers. A waitress rushed to Gabriel’s table while carrying a menu book. She gave 2 menu books for one table and let them choose the menu. Seeing this, Fiona interfered. “Hey, Amanda! What are you doing there?” She looked at the waitress named Amanda. Amanda’s gaze turned to Fiona. “I’m serving them, Miss. Do you need help?” she asked politely. Fiona shook her head. “No, but I just want to tell you to stay away from them. You better kick them out now or you’ll regret it!” Amanda looked puzzled. “But why, Miss? They are customers, and as a waitress, it is my duty to serve every customer.” A sly smile appeared on Fiona’s face. “Don’t you know who they are? They are known as campus broke boys. In all the years of working here, isn’t this the first time you’ve seen them come here? Do you think campus-broke boys like them can afford the food here?” she taunted. Amanda looked at Gabriel and his friends, and doubt appeared on her face. “You are right, Miss. I’ve never seen them before.” Gabriel’s eyes darkened with anger. He sighed, then spoke in a calm tone. “I hope you don’t easily believe that windbag,” Gabriel quipped. He glanced at Fiona as he continued his words. “By coming here, it means we can afford the food,” he stated in a firm tone. “That’s right, this is indeed our first time coming here. But that doesn’t mean we’re like what she said,” Joseph chimed in, supporting Gabriel. “I hope you work professionally and don’t discriminate against customers,” Louis hoped. Feeling that she didn’t get any support, Fiona turned to her friends. “Don’t be silent like a fool! Help me convince her to kick them out,” she commanded. Barbara and Penelope immediately raised their voices to support Fiona’s statement. “Amanda, do you just believe them? The man in the black shirt ruined Fiona’s birthday party on Saturday night. Trust us, he came here with the same purpose,” conveyed Barbara. “We just want to tell you before it’s too late,” Penelope added with a very convincing expression. This dispute attracted the attention of other customers. The atmosphere there became tense. “Amanda, what are you waiting for?” Fiona exclaimed. Affected by their words, Amanda hesitantly took the menu book that was on Gabriel’s table. When she was about to leave, suddenly a middle-aged woman who had just come stopped her. “I heard a commotion here. What’s going on?” asked Bertha, the owner of Premium Cafeteria. She was in her office room when she heard the commotion. A sly smile formed on Fiona's face as she confidently pointed at Gabriel. "Bertha, I'm telling Amanda that those 3 boys won't afford to eat here. They just came here to play around. I don't want her to waste her time, so I hope she kicks them out before it's too late," Fiona explained. Bertha's gaze shifted to Gabriel. She recognized Gabriel's face and remembered that he was the son of the late Nathan Bruhn. Considering Gabriel was the son of a cleaner, Bertha also had doubts if he could afford to eat here. Bertha approached Gabriel's table. She put on a sincere smile and tried not to hurt his feelings. "Aren't you the son of the late Nathan Bruhn?" Bertha asked politely. Gabriel was momentarily silent, then he nodded. Even though he had found his biological father, Nathan Bruhn was still his father. "Yes, Mam. I am Nathan Bruhn's son, Gabriel Bruhn." "The last time I met Nathan was about six years ago. After that, I was abroad and heard the news that he had passed away." There was sadness on her face as she spoke. “I saw you when you were still in high school. I still remember you, but I don’t think you remember me,” she continued. Gabriel let out a small chuckle. “Yes, Mam. I don’t remember but I think you are such a nice person.” Seeing the interaction between Gabriel and Bertha, Fiona’s temper escalated. This was not something what she expected. “Bertha, I warn you that he came here to mess up this place. He even showed up uninvited at my birthday party and messed it up. He is not a nice person,” Fiona spoke in a convincing tone. Affected by Fiona’s words, Bertha did not want to take any risks. Moreover, Fiona was a loyal customer of Premium Cafeteria, so her voice was more matters. Bertha’s gaze met Gabriel’s. “Excuse me young man, but it seems like you and your two friends should leave this place immediately,” she ordered in a polite tone. Gabriel shook his head. “Please listen to me, Mam. What she said is not true. My friends and I came here to eat. And we can pay, so there is no reason to kick us out,” he explained. “But Gabriel, we just don’t want any commotion here. So please get out of here,” Bertha pleaded. “If you want this commotion to end, why don’t you kick them out?” Gabriel asked while pointing at Fiona’s table. “They are the ones who have been making a commotion here, while my friends and I are just choosing the menu,” he continued in peeved expression. Fiona huffed. “Do you think a regular customer like me will be kicked out of this restaurant so easily? This is even your first time coming here but you are so haughty. I wonder what menu you ordered. Or maybe, you just ordered a glass of water?” she mocked followed by laughter from the people in the restaurant. Gabriel’s hands clenched tightly as his jaw tightened. He would not let Fiona continue to belittle him. With a smirk, he retorted. “Never mind the cheapest menu, but I can pay for all the food in this restaurant. I will pay all the bills from the customers here right now!”Latest Chapter

Richard scrolled through the iPad screen, reading more details of the report. His eyes widened at the shocking facts. He never imagined that the Reid family—renowned for their wealth and impeccable image—was harbouring such a massive secret.Even more shocking was the fact that this had been going on for years. The Reid family were known for their philanthropy. The Reid Group operated across various business sectors and also ran a charitable organization. While the charity was privately funded by The Reid Group, it also accepted public donations. A startling discovery by the Ashton family’s spies revealed that these public donations were not reaching those in need; instead, the money was going straight into Mr. Reid’s own pockets. The spies also uncovered evidence that Mr. Reid had been concealing his true assets to deceive tax authorities, effectively committing tax fraud."Wow!" Richard muttered in shock. "This is going to come as a huge surprise to everyone, considering how this fa

The onlookers were surprised to see the wad of cash in the briefcase. Gabriel stared at the money, but his expression was flat. He didn't seem interested at all."What's going on here? Why is that man offering Gabriel that much money?""If I were Gabriel, I would take that money.""I saw Gabriel working as a waiter in a restaurant yesterday; now's his best chance to get such easy cash from that man."Whispers spread through the air, but their remarks were nothing for Gabriel. To him, their whispers were nothing more than background noise. The amazed reaction from the onlookers boosted Mr. Reid ego. With a confident smile plastered on Mr. Reid's lips, he declared. "Gabriel Bruhn, I offer you all this money. But in return, I need you to do something for me."Gabriel furrowed his brows and fixed Mr. Reid with a sharp gaze. "What do you want?" he retorted firmly.A sly smile on Mr. Reid's face. A faint smile on his face vanished, replaced by a serious expression. "I know that you might ha

Mr. Reid stared at his son with wide eyes, silent for a moment, recalling what his bodyguards had said about Gabriel. Within seconds, he shook his head, dismissing his son's suspicions.“No way, son. I do believe that he is not the mysterious figure of The Dragon Lord Group,” he concluded.Dominick's frown deepened, a suspicious expression etched on his face. “But why don't you believe it? It could really be him, Dad,” he insisted.Continuing to dismiss his son's opinion, Mr. Reid asserted. “No, no. That man is not the mysterious, highest figure in The Dragon Lord Group, but he might be someone who has ever been connected to that company, so they are willing to help him.”Dominick, in turn, dismissed his father's opinion. “Dad, don't be ridiculous. A giant, wealthy company like The Dragon Lord Group wouldn't cancel a partnership with our company just for the sake of their former employee. It doesn't make any sense.”Mr. Reid was pensive, considering something. His son's words began to

Dominick furrowed his brows, wondering what had just happened. “Dad, what’s going on? Who just called?”Mr. Reid rubbed his face roughly, still unable to believe what he had just heard. He repeatedly checked Richard’s number, making sure it was really the Ashton family butler’s.While checking, Mr. Reid was lowkey wishing it wasn’t the real Richard Dutton. He hoped it was all just a nightmare and he would wake up, but it was all reality.Getting no answer from his father, Dominick rose from his seat and walked over to him.“Dad! What’s going on here? Why are you keeping silent?” he exclaimed. His tone sounded impatient.“Son, we’re in big trouble! It’s unbelievable!” Mr. Reid replied, his words dripping with frustration. He was still in deep shock, feeling unable to speak in a calm tone.“What happened, Dad? Please, tell me!” he insisted. With a limp body, Mr. Reid sat back in his chair, sadness etched across his face.“The butler of the Ashton family, a representative of The Dragon L

Richard shook his head. He genuinely had no idea why Mr. Reid sent men to attack Gabriel, since Gabriel himself hadn't told him the reason for this attack.Gabriel's relationship with Fiona was still in its early stages, so he hadn't let his family know about this. He might be considering telling his family, but not now."I don't know why he attacked my young master, nor did the young master himself tell me about this," Richard explained.Herbert's anger grew, but his face looked worried, concerned about his son."How is Gabriel now? Is he okay?"Richard reassured his master, speaking in a steady, calm voice."He said he's okay, Master. Johan has also protected the young master well."A sigh of relief escaped Herbert's chest. His face remained stern, a surge of anger washing over him. He was glad that his son hadn't been hurt by this attack. If his son had been injured, he would surely have taken revenge on Mr. Reid by sending men to attack him back.In a firm and authoritative tone,

“You morons! Idiots! You two can’t even beat those boys!” Mr. Reid yelled as he glared at the two men, his eyes filled with disappointment.“You won’t receive any salary for your disappointing work!” Mr. Reid asserted.Dominick folded his arms across his stomach as he suggested. “We better fire these two useless people. I don’t want to see them here again!”The two men mustered the courage to raise their gazes, staring at Dominick as they clasped their palms, pleading.“Please, Master, give us another chance. We deeply apologize for not delivering the result you expected.”“I know you might want to kill me because I keep making excuses, but to be honest, that young man isn’t the same as what you think. He’s very strong. Master, didn’t you hear that he defeated Dave The Devil before?” The man spoke with a worried expression, afraid that another slap from his master would land on his cheek.Mr. Reid sighed heavily as he wiped his face roughly.“Since you two have been loyal to me for ye
