Alex drove to Kate's office the next morning without Brielle's knowledge. Having known that Brielle would be a bit jealous if she heard his whereabouts, he decided to be wise about it and that made everything easier for him to navigate.

"I didn't know that you would be here so soon I would have prepared something for you, I hope you're not annoyed?" Kate said and he shook his head, there was nothing stopping him from having a meal from her but he didn't want to give her the wrong ideas.

Also, he saw that she was a bit professional today and thought that she must have realized her errors and thus couldn't be judged for that as long as she knew what she was doing but others could definitely go a long way if she was able to stop the way things were going at least for now.

It was almost as though she was just trying to do whatever she could to redeem herself. What she didn't know was the fact that he didn't hold any grudges against her.
