Chapter 12: The President

Sophia looked away. Even though she saw no reason why Derek didn't want to announce his identity before the inauguration but she couldn't take everyone looking down on him again. So, she was going to ignore Derek and announce him.

"_ the pre_," Sophia continued but the manager cut in quickly.

"I'm so sorry!" He yelled so loud that even if Sophia had said something, no one would have been able to hear.

Derek released a sigh. He didn't know if he was supposed to be grateful for what the manager did. He took two steps closer to Sophia and shook his head slightly.

Sophia released a sigh, finally accepting defeat. "Escort these people out!" She yelled in anger instead.

The security led Ann and Kevin out of the lobby.

The manager on the other hand was suddenly cooperative. He gave Derek a last glance before he walked out.
