Alex and Lucas drove to the penthouse that he wanted to check out. He was ready to pick his place. The best houses were selected and shown to him and he chose this particular one because it was situated in the most secluded and quiet part of the city. Not to mention it was in the most expensive part of the city.
They drove right up to the towering building and the valet came up to park their car properly. Alex instructed Darren to drive with the valet to know the proper parking space. An old security man was standing right outside the entrance and he greeted Alex politely, bowing his head, and Alex returned his greeting.
They walked into the reception and it was serene and exquisite. From the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling to the marbled floors, it screamed pricey. But above all, it was peaceful.
"I can see why this particular building caught your attention out of all the others," Lucas said to Alex, walking behind him and grinning.
Alex smiled and just nodded his head.
Just then, the manager of the building who saw Alex, quickly walked up to him. "Welcome Sir. My name is Cameron Sir, everything has already been prepared for your arrival, I will take you on a tour of the penthouse personally."
"Alright thank you"
"Please follow me this way," The manager said.
Alex and Lucas followed him. He took them to an elevator and pressed the button that had the penthouse boldly written on it. Five minutes later, the elevator doors opened to the most luxurious apartment Alex had ever seen. The manager gestured him in and Lucas followed behind. The penthouse was already furnished with the most expensive decor. "Whoever did the design decor knew what they were doing," Alex thought to himself.
Alex walked to the terrace. It looked over the most beautiful landscape of the city. The terrace went around almost the entire flat.
Lucas walked up to him. "Well, what do you think? Is this what you wanted? Or do you need them to change some things"
"No, this place is perfect. It's exactly what I wanted." Alex said to Lucas and muttered to himself "Swimming in luxury, I can't believe I own all these. Please, somebody, pinch me"
He looked over to the manager who was standing idly waiting for Alex's response. "I love what you did here. It's what I wanted and more."
The manager chuckled softly. "I aim to please you, Sir. I'm glad you like it.
Alex turned his head and breathed in the air from the terrace. Even the air smelled fresh. He just stood there taking it all in.
Meanwhile, at Dawson's House, 7 PM. He has just left the office and gotten home because he had a dinner reservation with Carla.
Carla had moved over to Dawson's house since her breakup with Alexander or one could call it humiliation of Alex. She moved in with him faster than lightning. They have been enjoying their lives since, oblivious to the fact that Alexander was alive and now a billionaire.
She wore a seductive red lace gown in waiting for Dawson. Dawson walked in on her seeing and went right to grabbing her and placing kisses all over her. She chuckled and moaned to him.
"You're an animal, baby."
"Why won't I be one with you in that lace gown? I can see every crevice and figure. You know how to turn me on" Dawson said and continued kissing her.
Just then his phone started ringing. At first, he ignored the call because he didn't want any interruption but he picked up because the call became persistent.
"Yes! Marla, I thought I said I didn't want any disturbance whatsoever today. Eh!" He yelled over at his assistant who was the caller.
"I'm sorry Sir, but this was important, I know you would be angry if I didn't inform you immediately." She said to him calmly.
He rubbed his forehead with his fingers. "Fine, what is so important that you had to break the rules?"
"It's about your funding Sir. The VP of Hugh Conglomerates called and said the new CEO is requesting an audience with you as soon as possible to discuss your funding."
"What!" He jumped up from where he sat on the couch. "What do you mean by the new CEO? What happened to Mr. Cason?"
