Chapter 004

Karion’s POV

Beep… beep… beep…

The sound slowly found its way into my ears, pulling me out of the darkness. My eyelids felt heavy, like they were glued shut, but after forcing myself a few times, I managed to open them.

White.

That was the first thing I saw. White ceiling, white walls, white lights that felt very bright for my eyes. I blinked slowly, my vision adjusting bit by bit, until everything finally came into focus.

I was in a hospital.

The realization hit me.

I tried to move, instinctively wanting to sit up, but a sharp tug stopped me. I looked down and noticed a drip connected to my arm, My body felt weak, like every ounce of strength had been drained out of me.

But that was just the beginning

My face.

It felt tight… stiff… like something was pulling at my skin. I raised my free hand slowly and touched my face.

Bandages.

Thick ones.

My fingers brushed against the rough texture. Those men, they didn’t just beat me, they tried to ruin me completely.

I clenched my jaw and slowly pushed myself into a sitting position. A dull headache hit me immediately, forcing me to pause for a few seconds. My head felt like it was splitting open, but I endured it.

As I sat up properly, I finally took the time to look around.

And that’s when something felt… off.

This wasn’t a normal hospital room.

The bed I was lying on was large and comfortable, not the metal ones I was used to seeing. The machines around me looked modern and expensive. There was a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall, a couch by the window, and the curtains looked like something you’d see in a five-star hotel.

I even had my own private room.

There was no way I could afford this place. Not even if I worked nonstop for months. Maybe years.

Panic crept in immediately.

I wasn’t with my phone at the moment, neither was I with my wallet

I checked the bedside table, the chair, everywhere within reach. Nothing.

How was I supposed to pay for this?

That lady from last night… she was the one who brought me here. I was grateful, truly, but why did she bring me to a place like this? Couldn’t she have taken me to a cheaper hospital? A general hospital? Anywhere else?

I sighed weakly, my chest tightening.

If they asked me to pay, what would I even say? That I was broke? That I had nothing? Would they kick me out? Or worse, detain me?

As these thoughts ran through my head, I noticed movement outside the glass door of my room.

A nurse.

She was walking toward my room, holding a tablet in her hands.

My heartbeat picked up instantly.

She was coming because I was awake now. That meant questions. And payment.

I swallowed hard.

Maybe…. I could ask her for help. Maybe I could explain my situation. Ask if I could work here somehow. Clean floors, carry supplies—anything.

I shook my head slightly.

What kind of nonsense was I even thinking?

The door opened softly and she walked in, a polite smile on her face.

“Hello sir, how are you feeling?” she asked warmly.

I hesitated for a second before answering. My throat felt dry.

“I… I’m feeling better,” I managed to say.

She nodded, her smile widening slightly. “That’s good to hear. I’ll just check your vitals and make sure everything looks okay.”

She moved closer, checking the drip, glancing at the monitor beside my bed.

I opened my mouth, wanting to ask her something, but no words came out.

Before I could gather my thoughts, a familiar sound echoed in my head.

“Congratulations, Karion Kross. The Billionaire RVG System has fully been synced with host.”

My body stiffened.

That voice.

I looked around the room immediately.

No one else was there besides the nurse, who was focused on the machine.

My heart started pounding.

I had heard this voice before. More than once. And each time, I was completely alone.

Then, right in front of my eyes, something impossible happened.

A blue digital screen appeared in mid-air.

My breath caught.

Numbers… texts… symbols… floating right in front of me.

[New Balance: 500,000,000,000.00]

[Body: 20 (Weak)]

[Mind: 33 (Average)]

[Current Skills: Yet to be discovered]

[RVG Points: 0]

I blinked just to confirm if I’ve started having issues with my pupils, but no, The screen didn’t disappear.

My chest tightened as shock washed over me.

Was I hallucinating?

Was this a side effect of the injuries? The blood loss?

Slowly, I raised my left hand and waved it through the screen.

Nothing.

My hand passed right through it like it wasn’t even there.

My breathing grew shallow.

“Can you see this?” I asked suddenly, pointing directly at the floating screen.

The nurse paused and looked at me, confusion clearly written on her face.

“See what?” she asked.

My stomach dropped.

“The screen… and the voice. Didn’t you hear that voice just now?” I asked again.

Her brows furrowed slightly. “I’m sorry, Mr. Kross, but I didn’t hear or see anything. Are you feeling alright?”

I immediately stopped myself from saying anything else. I was in a hospital. The last thing I needed was for them to think I was mentally unstable.

“Yes… never mind,” I said quickly. “I’m fine.”

She gave me a strange look but nodded. “Alright. Everything seems stable. I’ll be back shortly with the doctor and then we can discuss your checkout.”

She turned and walked out of the room, leaving me alone again.

The moment the door closed, my attention snapped back to the screen.

It was still there.

Clear as day.

I squinted, reading the text carefully.

[Welcome, host Karion Kross, to the Billionaire RVG System.]

[This system is a one-time binding system and cannot be transferred.]

[Once the host dies, the system will disappear.]

My heartbeat grew louder in my ears.

This wasn’t a dream nor was it an illusion.

[The host’s balance is already bound to all banks globally.]

[Payments can be made using fingerprint, facial recognition, or pupil scan.]

My eyes widened slightly.

All banks?

Globally?

I swallowed hard.

[How to use the system:]

[Host Karion Kross will obtain 1 RVG Point for every completed task.]

[The host must accumulate over 1000 RVG Points.]

Then the last line appeared.

[First Task: Host Karion Kross is required to spend 3,000,000 dollars within 72 hours.]

Chapter 009Karion’s POV“Global infinite black card has now been delivered to host.” The notification appeared on the system interface directly in front of me.For a few seconds, I simply stared at it.Delivered? That was it?Nothing happened. No flash of light, no mysterious portal opening beside me.No delivery man suddenly appearing out of nowhere holding a package, judging from the system anime I once watched, something like that is supposed to happen, isn’t it?I frowned while looking around. If that wasn’t going to work then how exactly was this supposed to work?I never entered my address, the system didn’t even ask where I lived. So how was it supposed to deliver anything to me?I let out a small disappointed sigh. For a second there, I had honestly thought I finally had a way to access the ridiculous amount of money sitting in my account.Looks like I got my hopes up too early.Shaking my head, I prepared to stand up from the bench.Since nothing happened, th

Chapter 008 Karion’s POV “Sir, are you sure you don’t want to stay longer? Wait for a family or friend to come get you?” the doctor asked as we both walked down the reception area. Family or friend? Right now, I had none of that. I was completely on my own and if there was one thing I knew for sure, it was that I needed to figure out a path forward as soon as possible. “I’ll manage,” the words left my mouth barely above a whisper. The doctor nodded, but I could tell he wasn’t exactly concerned about me. Honestly, I knew he was only asking because he knew I could pay my bills now, If it were up to me, I would have preferred staying. My entire body still hurt like hell, i could barely walk properly, every step sent pain shooting through my ribs and legs. I couldn’t even maintain a straight posture without feeling like my bones were grinding against each other. Medically speaking, walking out of the hospital right now was probably a terrible idea. Especially considering I di

Chapter 007Maddie’s POV“Baby,” I said seductively, my fingers slowly rubbing up and down Jubril’s bare, chiseled chest as he leaned back comfortably on the couch. His skin was warm beneath my touch.“Now that the deadbeat is finally out of our way, what now?” I added casually, taking a small bite from the slice of pizza in my other hand like we were talking about the weather and not someone’s life.Jubril let out a low chuckle and cleared his throat before shifting in his seat. He adjusted himself, resting his arm behind his head like a man who had finally gotten what he wanted.“Well,” he started, his voice calm and satisfied, “things were a bit rushed yesterday. Neither of us expected him to return so soon from the event. That part caught me off guard.”He paused, then smirked.“But I’m glad he caught us. Finally, I don’t have to pretend to be his friend anymore. My shoulders feel lighter, like a huge load has been lifted. I was tired of hiding, tired of pretending.”He broug

Chapter 006Karion’s POVThe nurse leaned in slightly, lowering her voice as she whispered something into the doctor’s ear. Her tone was low, careful, but it wasn’t low enough to escape my hearing “Sir, the payment has been confirmed,” she said. “He actually made the payment.”The words landed heavier than they should have. The doctor blinked, like his brain needed a moment to catch up. The disbelief was clear on his face before he quickly masked it. Still, the surprise was clear in his eyes. He cleared his throat, adjusted his glasses, and said“Well, would you like to leave now, or do you still want us to continue discussing the hallucinations?” he askedThe way he said It told me everything. He no longer sounded concerned—he sounded curious. Curious about how someone like me could casually settle a bill that large without hesitation. Not having a single idea that a few moments ago I didn’t even know how I was going to settle the billThey had already stitched me up. The bleeding

Chapter 005 Karion’s POV this had to be some kind of joke. There was no other explanation for it. No way this was real. I stared at the floating digital screen again, my eyes narrowing slightly as if doing that would make it disappear. Systems like this only existed in games, in novels, in anime. Not in real life. Nobody had ever come out and said something like this happened to them before. So why me? How was this even possible? My mind kept searching for logic, for some reasonable explanation. Maybe the hospital injected me with something. Maybe I hit my head too hard and my brain was trying to cope with everything that happened by creating illusions. That had to be it. Because in reality, people didn’t just wake up and suddenly see a system that only they could see, telling them they had half a trillion dollars. That wasn’t how life worked. My eyes drifted back to the balance displayed on the screen. The zeros, There were too many of them. I counted slowly in my hea
