Chapter 001Karion’s POV: “We’re over, Karion.” One sentence, three words, yet they hit me square in the chest like a brick thrown at full force. Over? A relationship of five years, over just like that? For a second, everything went quiet. Not silence, more like my ears had stopped working properly. My lips parted, or at least, I felt them part, but no sound came out. Instead, my eyes stayed glued to the scene in front of me, the direct answer to why my relationship was coming to an end. The scattered underwear on the floor. Maddie’s bra, the one I bought for her on her birthday. Her panties tossed carelessly beside the bed. And then, another man’s clothes. A shirt I recognized very well. A watch I had seen on his wrist many times. Jubril, my best friend since we were kids, sat naked on our bed, arms wrapped around my Fiancee. My chest tightened, my lungs refusing to cooperate as though someone had wrapped an invisible rope around them and pulled hard. I opened my mout

Chapter 002 Karion’s POV: I blinked multiple times as the sting of the champagne in my eyes refused to fade. It burned like acid, crawling deep into my sockets, making tears pour out uncontrollably. “Fuck…” The word left my mouth in a broken whisper. The room felt like it was tilting, like I was standing on a moving ship instead of solid ground. I scratched my eyes instinctively, my fingers shaking, even though it only made the pain worse. Slowly, painfully, my vision began to return. The blur faded bit by bit, shapes forming back into place And the first thing I saw clearly was Jubril. “So you think you can put your hands on me and just get away with it, huh?” Jubril said coldly. He was already half dressed, slipping into his trousers like nothing significant had just happened. One hand held his phone as his fingers moved rapidly across the screen, typing, while the other casually adjusted his belt. He didn’t even look at me when he spoke, like I was something beneath his a

Chapter 003 Karion’s POV “Error in activating system, code 446.” “Commencing automatic recovery, the host is required to hold on.” Gasp. My chest expanded violently as air rushed into my lungs like I had just been dragged out of water. I sucked in breath after breath, my heart pounding so hard it felt like it was trying to burst out of my ribs. My body jerked slightly as I coughed, the pain exploding through my chest and throat. Damn… I shut my eyes tightly, forcing myself to slow down. Inhale. Exhale. Inhale again. Each breath felt like fire scraping through my lungs, but I kept going until the panic eased a little. My heart was still racing, but at least I wasn’t choking anymore. When my breathing finally slowed, I opened my eyes slowlyI was still here, lying on the floor. “my head” I muttered weakly. My voice sounded strange to my own ears, like it didn’t belong to me anymore. My throat burned, and swallowing felt like dragging broken glass down my neck. The memory of

Chapter 004Karion’s POVBeep… beep… beep…The sound slowly found its way into my ears, pulling me out of the darkness. My eyelids felt heavy, like they were glued shut, but after forcing myself a few times, I managed to open them.White.That was the first thing I saw. White ceiling, white walls, white lights that felt very bright for my eyes. I blinked slowly, my vision adjusting bit by bit, until everything finally came into focus.I was in a hospital. The realization hit me.I tried to move, instinctively wanting to sit up, but a sharp tug stopped me. I looked down and noticed a drip connected to my arm, My body felt weak, like every ounce of strength had been drained out of me.But that was just the beginning My face.It felt tight… stiff… like something was pulling at my skin. I raised my free hand slowly and touched my face.Bandages.Thick ones.My fingers brushed against the rough texture. Those men, they didn’t just beat me, they tried to ruin me completely.I clenched my j

Chapter 005 Karion’s POV this had to be some kind of joke. There was no other explanation for it. No way this was real. I stared at the floating digital screen again, my eyes narrowing slightly as if doing that would make it disappear. Systems like this only existed in games, in novels, in anime. Not in real life. Nobody had ever come out and said something like this happened to them before. So why me? How was this even possible? My mind kept searching for logic, for some reasonable explanation. Maybe the hospital injected me with something. Maybe I hit my head too hard and my brain was trying to cope with everything that happened by creating illusions. That had to be it. Because in reality, people didn’t just wake up and suddenly see a system that only they could see, telling them they had half a trillion dollars. That wasn’t how life worked. My eyes drifted back to the balance displayed on the screen. The zeros, There were too many of them. I counted slowly in my hea

Chapter 006Karion’s POVThe nurse leaned in slightly, lowering her voice as she whispered something into the doctor’s ear. Her tone was low, careful, but it wasn’t low enough to escape my hearing “Sir, the payment has been confirmed,” she said. “He actually made the payment.”The words landed heavier than they should have. The doctor blinked, like his brain needed a moment to catch up. The disbelief was clear on his face before he quickly masked it. Still, the surprise was clear in his eyes. He cleared his throat, adjusted his glasses, and said“Well, would you like to leave now, or do you still want us to continue discussing the hallucinations?” he askedThe way he said It told me everything. He no longer sounded concerned—he sounded curious. Curious about how someone like me could casually settle a bill that large without hesitation. Not having a single idea that a few moments ago I didn’t even know how I was going to settle the billThey had already stitched me up. The bleeding

Chapter 007Maddie’s POV“Baby,” I said seductively, my fingers slowly rubbing up and down Jubril’s bare, chiseled chest as he leaned back comfortably on the couch. His skin was warm beneath my touch.“Now that the deadbeat is finally out of our way, what now?” I added casually, taking a small bite from the slice of pizza in my other hand like we were talking about the weather and not someone’s life.Jubril let out a low chuckle and cleared his throat before shifting in his seat. He adjusted himself, resting his arm behind his head like a man who had finally gotten what he wanted.“Well,” he started, his voice calm and satisfied, “things were a bit rushed yesterday. Neither of us expected him to return so soon from the event. That part caught me off guard.”He paused, then smirked.“But I’m glad he caught us. Finally, I don’t have to pretend to be his friend anymore. My shoulders feel lighter, like a huge load has been lifted. I was tired of hiding, tired of pretending.”He broug

Chapter 008 Karion’s POV “Sir, are you sure you don’t want to stay longer? Wait for a family or friend to come get you?” the doctor asked as we both walked down the reception area. Family or friend? Right now, I had none of that. I was completely on my own and if there was one thing I knew for sure, it was that I needed to figure out a path forward as soon as possible. “I’ll manage,” the words left my mouth barely above a whisper. The doctor nodded, but I could tell he wasn’t exactly concerned about me. Honestly, I knew he was only asking because he knew I could pay my bills now, If it were up to me, I would have preferred staying. My entire body still hurt like hell, i could barely walk properly, every step sent pain shooting through my ribs and legs. I couldn’t even maintain a straight posture without feeling like my bones were grinding against each other. Medically speaking, walking out of the hospital right now was probably a terrible idea. Especially considering I di

Chapter 009Karion’s POV“Global infinite black card has now been delivered to host.” The notification appeared on the system interface directly in front of me.For a few seconds, I simply stared at it.Delivered? That was it?Nothing happened. No flash of light, no mysterious portal opening beside me.No delivery man suddenly appearing out of nowhere holding a package, judging from the system anime I once watched, something like that is supposed to happen, isn’t it?I frowned while looking around. If that wasn’t going to work then how exactly was this supposed to work?I never entered my address, the system didn’t even ask where I lived. So how was it supposed to deliver anything to me?I let out a small disappointed sigh. For a second there, I had honestly thought I finally had a way to access the ridiculous amount of money sitting in my account.Looks like I got my hopes up too early.Shaking my head, I prepared to stand up from the bench.Since nothing happened, th
