“I beg you, Lewis will step down from the presidential position, please don't kill us”.

“There will be no mercy President Lewis Hughes”.

Lewis let out a sigh. He knew that death waited for him. But he had one wish before he died, to hug his only son Michael Hughes.

Four years old Michael ran to his father and hugged him crying. Just before the killers dragged President Lewis away from Michael, he removed his golden ring and slipped it on Michael's big finger.

President Lewis and his wife knelt down in front of their son and within a twinkle of an eye, the murderers slit their throats with their sharp knives.

"Welfare to the afterlife, You can't be president forever."

Seeing the blood that was gushing out from his parents' necks, Michael cried. Papa! Mama! And rushed to their bleeding dead bodies on the floor, he was also hit instantly and he passed out.

The family of President Lewis of the Hughes dynasty had been murdered by an unknown killer in their home in New York.

The news spread like wildfire throughout New York. No one knew who was behind the attack and if young Michael lived.

Ten years later, Michael found himself wandering in the city of New York as a street homeless boy. He had no idea about who he was and where he came from. All he wanted was a good shelter and good food.

Luckily for Michael, he was among the street kids the American government had captured and taken to an orphanage home.

Michael was adopted by the Wilson family. The Wilson family was struggling to climb the social ladder in the business world. They had only a female child “Nora” but they wanted a male who could take up the family name and bring them good fortunes.

Michael was happy to have been adopted by a family but what worried him the most was the ring on his finger and when the intentions of the Wilson family were made known to him.
