The Proposal

Meredith took three steps backward in order to get away from the policeman, but he was faster and caught up with her in no time.

“No! Please, let me go! I don’t know these people! I didn’t do anything!” She tried to free herself from the grip of the policeman, but before she could know it, her hands had already been cuffed behind her while she grunted with so much tension gripping her.

“This way, madam. Please, go.”

“Officer, wait. I didn’t do anything! I don’t know these people! Jason?” Meredith forced herself to a stop, and then she turned to look at Jason who stood still with his arms folded.

“Please! Let me go! I will give you back your money! I still have some money left in my savings! I will pay the rest when I have it! I beg you, please!”
