Cas gripped his hunting bow even tighter as he stared at the man with the Cowboy hat.

If he tried anything he'd.... he'd hope it wouldn't have to come to that, Cas would rather not harm the man, given who's face he had.

Kelvin...no the Kelvin lookalike sat poignantly on the old leathery couch.

He glanced around the room, nodded his head everytime his eyes fell upon an Object.

"Even the Violin looks exactly the same, Cece, do you still practice?"

Cece shifted nervously, "Em... yeah, I still practice, who are you exactly?"

"Who Am I? Hmm..... Well my name's Kelvin Obviously," he rolled his eyes.

Cas snorted, "Look men, I don't know what kind of sick joke you think this is, Liutenant Rogers-"

"Kross..."

"What?"

"My name is Captain Kelvin Kross, I come from E-449, it's an Earth Adjacent, quick question, what rank were you in the Airforce Cas?"

'What was this man talking about?' Cas thought, Earth Adjacent? Kross? He'd think the man was making fun of him but he was dead serious.

Cas gulped loudly, "Sergeant, Sergeant Castor Grimes Junior,"

The man sighed, "Dishonorably discharged eh? My Cas was different, made it all the way Colonel before he retired,"

"what are you on about? look tell us who you are and what you want!" Cece cried.

"Eh.... I already told-"

"Make things clearer Captain, else they won't understand a word you're saying," a new voice said, Cas and Cece looked around to discover it's origin.

"Over here!"

They finally found the origin of the voice, right next to the Captain.

It was a tall, Slim lady with long curly blue hair and the most beautiful eyes Cas had ever seen in his life!

They were like sapphires perfectly placed into the human sockets, She wore an evening gown of royal purple to complement her eyes.

The dress hugged Her hour glass figure, the paleness of her stark white skin brought out the beauty of dress.

Her nose, her eyes, her face in general were perfectly sculptured, the closest thing to an imperfection he spotted from her was a mole located just above her left shoulder.

He was lovestruck.

"You're beautiful!" he was half surprised what came out from his mouth and doubly surprised it also came out from his twin too.

She looked just as perplexed, Cas knew Cece didn't swing that way or maybe...

"Why thank you! Such kind Children," she gave them a motherly smile.

"Ch-Children?" the twins muttered, "Wait! where'd you come from?"

"Why I was here the whole time?"

"Huh?"

"Captain, why don't you explain who we are? Properly this time,"

"Very well... My name as I said is Captain Kelvin Kross, I come from a Parallel world, an Earth Adjacent called Gaia or E-449,"

"..... you expect us to believe that crap?" Cece wrinkled her nose.

"As much as I expect you're still chasing that 'Celestial Archive' Cecelia,"

Her jaw dropped, she was taken aback.

"Cece what's he-"

"I hear rumours of the Collector's Library, It's said to house every book ever written and every story ever told and every story ever untold! Perhaps you'll find the last of Georgie Gaster's works there, Cas,"

The twins did a double take, they stepped closer together and looked ready to run.

"No need to be so cautious, Well it's good that you are but I mean you no harm is all I'm saying!" he sighed.

The Captain went on to tell about aspects of their Childhood, Aspects only they and some close friends and relatives would know.

About the bear attack from when Cas braved these woods himself, About the time Cece burned the school library down.

About why Cas enlisted in the Airforce and about the last thing Cece Said to their mother before she....

Each revelation made the twins uneasy, The feeling was so overwhelming that Cas cut him short.

"How do you know these things?"

"Simple enough answer, my Cas And Cece told me, I was friends with you in my world as well,"

"Was?" Cece muttered.

He cast a gaze outside, "Was...."

There was a sadness in his tone, whether this man was crazy or a very convincing actor, there was a sincerity in his voice when he spoke.

Almost like he genuinely believed every word he spoke.

They were still not certain.

"So you found this Cabin because our Doppelgangers have shown you it before,"

"Correct!"

"Still doesn't explain what you want from us? You come here to take revenge for your counterpart in-"

"I know you didn't kill the Liutenant.... that was Jay right? She's kinda a bitch in my world too, though obviously she never killed me neither!"

"Then..... why?"

"I sent the Captain here on a mission, during his investigation he discovered what happened to his counterpart and was convinced you two were innocent, so he insisted we help you," The woman said .

"I'm sorry.... who are you?"

She gasped, "Where are my manners? I'm Eureka, I'm his Superior to put it simply,"

"What like you work with NASA or something?" Cas eyed The Captain's strange suit.

Eureka laughed, "No,no,no, We're dealers!"

"The legal or illegal kind?"

Eureka laughed even louder, her bosom jiggled with each shake causing the twins to flush.

"The Fixer kind... our business involves making contracts with Certain individuals, we provide them with anything they need to get what they want,"

"From The Metaphysical to Alien tech!" The Captain voiced.

"Even simple favours are enough.... so far as you're willing to pay the price!"

"What price?" Cas found himself asking, he somehow thought money wasn't what they we're implying.

"It varies from person to person," Eureka shrugged, "But.... Loyalty bond must be part of it, there's no negotiation on that part,"

"Loyalty bond?"

"It means you only ever do business with us going forward, only us!" the Captain explained.

"Sounds a bit steep don'cha think?" Cece pouted.

"Hey every business needs loyal customers, either way, it's all up to the consumer,"

".....Did you come here to make a deal with us? to give us back our lives or something?" Cas hoped, His twin's eyes lit up at hearing this too.

"We could do that but.... that's not why we're here," Eureka shook her head.

"Then why-"

"Fixing your life would be easy Guys... but then what next? I doubt you guys are satisfied with the way your lives are right now, am I right?"

"...."

"I've got a preposition for you... Join our clan as dealers, help make contracts on our behalf and maybe you'll both get what you want, a life of Romance, Adventure and whatever else goes up in that head of yours," Eureka proposed.

"And... if we refuse?"

"Then we leave.... although I doubt the cops outside will just allow walk away guys," he pointed a finger outside.

The twins looked outside the window, the world was still silent and unmoving.

Yet they could still see the police cars, they weren't too far from here, 3 minutes and they'll surround the cabin.

Everything was still there, the moment the pair leave, the twins freedom is over, their lives are over.

The choice was simple enough.

Cece was the first to speak, "When do we start?"

  • Interlude- The price of honour

Barker Griffin hated humans. Not out of a sense of entitlement, like many of his fellow Lycans. Nor out of some misguided religious or social belief their existence violated, which was also fairly popular as sources of anti-human sentiment went on in the Holton's Keep. No, his own hatred came from anger, and that anger came from the very natural fear of what humans ultimately were. All forms of government, all Clans and Packs were based on the monopoly of force; what would then happen to every government in the supernatural world when a race as selfish as humans got enough power to rival them? His ancestors had scoffed at the idea, 'Those hairless apes? Overthrow us!?' They might have laughed, But Barker.... their descendants.... are not laughing now.Of course, not all humans are as unstable as the scum that hunted his people, He had met a few 'good' ones over the years but at the end of the day, When cornered, when the going gets tough, They break, they lash out and they hurt.... t
