Rong Tian’s expression changed, clearly showing the relief that had suddenly come over him like cool water in desert heat. The cave represented safety in this cursed place.

"I'll take shelter in that cave," he muttered, his steps now hurried toward the cave with purpose. It seemed to be his only hope for protection from the wild beasts lurking in the darkness of the night.

However, when he stood at the base of the rugged, steep rocks, Rong Tian's heart sank with crushing disappointment. The cave was too high to reach, perched at least ten meters above the ground.

He was not an immortal cultivator with extraordinary strength that could defy natural laws. His dantian remained shattered, leaving him with only mortal capabilities.

His weak physique made him hesitate, even to approach the cave entrance that mocked him from above. Despair once again overwhelmed his heart like rising flood waters. However, at that moment, an idea suddenly came to mind with the clarity of lightning.

In the darkness of the cave, his eyes shone with anticipation and newfound confidence.Rong Tian stood inside the cave, his breath still heavy after the long journey and exhausting training. The stone walls around him were smooth and ancient, carved by wind and time into natural shelter. His eyes scanned the narrow space, making sure this place could truly serve as temporary shelter from the dangers below. He glanced down through the cave opening at the dark desert stretched endlessly below, inhabited by ferocious creatures ready to tear his body apart at any moment. The howls of distant wolves echoed through the night air like harbingers of death."Here I will survive! Here I am safe from the threat of wild beasts, the demonic creatures roaming below!" he whispered softly, his voice carrying both relief and determination. The anxiety that had haunted him since falling into the Abyss of Suffering vanished like morning mist before the rising sun. Now there was only one burning purpose

Rong Tian took a deep breath, calming his racing heart that pounded like war drums in his chest. The ancient stone walls of the abyss echoed with the sound of his controlled breathing. He kicked the sandy ground with the tip of his shoe, testing its traction against the loose grains that shifted beneath his feet. The strange sensation that had briefly enveloped his mind slowly faded, replaced by an understanding of the uniqueness of these shoes. The black leather seemed to pulse with energy that traveled up through his legs like lightning coursing through his meridians.WUUT!His body rose with astonishing speed, floating five meters in the air as if gravity had released its hold on him. The black robe he wore fluttered wildly, spreading wide like the wings of a bat about to hunt its prey at night. The fabric created a symphony of whispers as it cut through the desert wind. Then something unexpected happened that defied all logic and reason.A faint breeze, barely audible, blew past,

It turned out that to open the small coffin, Rong Tian did not need great strength or special skills. The ancient wood responded to his touch like it had been waiting centuries for the right person to find it."I hope this works," he murmured softly, pressing the panel button on the coffin with care. His fingers traced the intricate carvings that decorated the surface, each line telling stories of forgotten masters. A 'click' sound echoed as the mechanism inside moved, signaling that the coffin was ready to open.As the lid lifted, a thick, ancient aura, combined with the musty scent of something very old, immediately filled the air. The smell carried traces of sandalwood and something metallic that spoke of power long dormant.Rong Tian took a deep breath, feeling how old the object was, his lungs filling with air that seemed to carry whispers of the past. He lifted the lid with a swift motion, as if afraid that the wrong movement might damage the valuable item inside.Dim light illu

"They must know how painful it is when the shattered energy cores in this body return with even greater power!" Rong Tian thought, clenching his teeth until his jaw ached. The desire for vengeance burned in his chest like molten iron, giving him strength when his body had none left.Fortunately, Rong Tian still kept a hidden storage pouch behind his large, loose scholar's robe. The fabric was torn and stained with blood, but the pouch remained intact, protected by the thick folds of cloth.Though simple, the pouch was capable of holding various necessary items including food that could sustain life. Inside were several boiled sweet potatoes prepared by his father with loving hands that had known years of labor. As the son of a carriage driver living in poverty, he had no money when he took the national exam to become an official. All he had was what his father had prepared for him, simple fare that spoke of a family's sacrifice for their son's dreams."Take these boiled sweet potatoes

Rong Tian fell onto a thick mound of sand at the bottom of the Abyss of Suffering, his body creating a deep impression in the shifting dunes. The sand was cold against his torn robes, each grain feeling like tiny needles against his bruised skin. This was an unexpected stroke of luck, as the sand pile had saved him from certain death, or at least from fatal fractures. The desert wind howled above the cliff edges, carrying with it the scent of ancient bones buried beneath countless layers of time. However, the sharp pain in his stomach quickly reminded him that he was still trapped in endless suffering. His dantian throbbed with agony where his cultivation core had been shattered, the spiritual pathways torn like silk threads ripped by cruel hands. With his body covered in wounds that painted crimson patterns across his scholarly attire, he crawled weakly, trying to gather the last remnants of his strength. The moonlight cast eerie shadows across the sandy floor, illuminating the despe
