Miguel immediately changed his expression. His face turned red, and his eyes had a sharp look. "How dare you talk to me like that." He chuckled in annoyance. "Poor people like you don't know any better, do they?"

Miguel chuckled while girdling his loins. It was obvious that he was mocking Blake. He tried to contain his anger because there were a lot of people in the lobby.

"You should be thanking me for helping you, damn it." Miguel glared, giving Blake an intimidating look. "No need to talk too much, now just do your job as the office boy. Clean the toilet properly!"

"You're a nobody here," Blake replied to Miguel's words calmly, without showing any facial expression. "So, you have no right to order me around."

Miguel's eyes turned red. "Oh, you can talk back to me now." He lifted his chin up in a haughty manner. "I have to teach that mouth of yours a lesson."

Miguel approached, raising his hand as he tried to grab Blake by the collar. However, Blake quickly dodged and swatted away the man's hand.

"Insolent." Miguel brushed his hair roughly. "You're the solution to appreciating what Amora did. He begged me to hire you here, but you did this instead."

Blake gave Miguel a cold stare. "I don't need your help."

Miguel chuckled, looking at Blake with one eyebrow raised. "You really are a shameless, brainless person. Acting like a big shot, how are you supposed to work here without my help? What are you going to do if I don't help you, huh? Even an office boy job is too good for you."

The atmosphere in the lobby was getting tense, and other employees began to notice the conflict. Miguel's loud, booming voice was distracting them, especially since it was working hours.

"Do you think Amora is a stupid woman who wants to continue living in misery with you?" Miguel laughed as he girded his loins. "Never." He grinned at Blake. "She'd rather choose me and be my partner, than have to continue living in poverty with a stupid, irresponsible man like you."

Blake's eyes grew sharp and cold. He channelled that anger into his eyes, but his demeanour remained as calm as a rock hit by a wave.

"You're right; Amora is smart, but you're wrong. Amora is smarter, so she wouldn't choose a scheming man like you." Blake's emphasis on words made Miguel flinch slightly.

"Insolent." Miguel's hands were clenched tightly, his face looked red, and his eyes were burning. "You're a fucking man who shouldn't be allowed to live."

Miguel raised his hand, preparing to deliver a hard punch to Blake. However, just as Miguel's hand was centimetres away from hitting Blake, Blake caught the man's hand.

"Let go, damn it!" Miguel frowned, moving his hand to get it out of Blake's grasp.

Miguel's eyes were sharp, and his jaw was hardened. He shook his hand, but Blake's strength suddenly became strong, which made Miguel wonder why the man's strength suddenly became so strong.

"Hey, what's going on?" A man who had just come out of the elevator door was surprised to see several crowds of people gathered.

"There's a fight over there." One of the building employees pointed his finger upwards towards the front of the crowd.

The man immediately broke through the crowd and was surprised to see Miguel throwing a punch at another man, which immediately made him approach.

"Miguel, what are you doing?" The man looked at Miguel with a sharp look in his eyes, then turned his gaze towards Blake.

Blake also loosened his grip on his hand, which made Miguel immediately throw his hand out strongly.

"Don't make a scene here." The man emphasized his voice and his sharp eyes warned Miguel.

"Just blame this damn man." Miguel pointed his index finger at Blake's face. "He's the one who's been messing with me."

The man named Mario let out a long breath, seeing his cousin acting up again.

"What's the problem this time?" Mario scrunched up his waist, actually feeling fed up with Miguel's troubles.

"This damn man is ungrateful." Miguel looked sharply at Blake. "You still remember that fucking guy I told you about, right?" He pointed his index finger at Blake in a loud, emphasized tone of voice. "This is the guy. I asked you to let him work here, but he acted like he didn't need my help."

Miguel's tone rose, and he felt like he was being defended by his cousin, who was a manager at the company. However, it was also because everyone there was crowding around and paying attention to them that made Mario feel uncomfortable.

"Never mind, solve your problems elsewhere. Not here." Mario's voice was firm, with a look of emphasis on his face. "I don't want any commotion here because I have an important guest coming soon."

Hearing that, Miguel frowned. "An important guest? Who is the important person coming here?"

"He said there will be a messenger from Mr. Hover." Mario glanced at his watch. "But until now, he hasn't arrived."

Mario actually felt worried and uneasy. He thought to himself, what if his important guest had already arrived, but seeing the commotion here had made him cancel his intention to come here.

Hearing the name mentioned, Miguel shifted slightly, slightly eroding the distance between himself and Mario, and whispered softly, "You mean Mr. Hover from the famous family that owns this company?"

Mario nodded his head softly. "Yes, that's why, don't give me a headache with this commotion."

Miguel also nodded, reducing his ego and being a little calm. Of course, the change in his demeanour made the people in the crowd even less because there was no more commotion.

Miguel also didn't want to make a bad impression on the important person, so he straightened his clothes quickly and changed his attitude—but not with his gaze on Blake.

"What the fuck are you still here for?" Miguel waved his hand in the air. "Hurry up and leave. We have an important guest here. Don't let Mr. Hover's messenger see scum like you. You'll make a bad impression later."

Blake smiled for a moment, then looked at Miguel with a colder look in his eyes. "I'm the messenger."

That immediately made Miguel burst out laughing. "What did you say? You idiot." He felt like his stomach had just been tickled and couldn't stop laughing. "Don't make up stories. You think we'll believe you're Mr. Hover's messenger? Even you don't seem to know who that guy is."

Miguel shook his head, noticing the serious look on Blake's face that made him feel even funnier. Meanwhile, Mario just exhaled softly.

"Already, I don't want any more commotion. If your business is done, please leave it here. We're busy." Mario raised his hand towards the door, inviting Blake to get out of there in a still polite manner.

Blake didn't answer immediately, but he took his cell phone from inside his pants pocket and pointed something at Mario calmly.

Mario frowned. Despite his confusion, he grabbed the phone and immediately looked at the flattened object's illuminated screen to see what Blake wanted to show him.

"What do you want to show me stupid?" The curious Miguel also looked at the screen, and his eyes immediately rounded. "No way."

Meanwhile, Mario, who wasn't easy to believe at first, was now quite surprised when he saw that the sender's email address was indeed from Mr Hover, causing him to immediately bow before Blake.

"I'm sorry, sir." Mario closed his eyes, regretting not immediately noticing the arrival of such an important person. "I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting."

"My daughter, it was Blake who decided to transfer me to a better care facility. Everything was arranged properly," Jhonson said with a smile, his voice sounding stronger than before. Zuri looked at him sharply. "Better care? What do you mean? Why didn’t anyone inform us first?" The staff members were slightly taken aback by Zuri’s reaction, but they remained calm as they responded, "We were just following Mr. Blake’s instructions. The facility is highly exclusive, and there, Grandfather received more intensive care." Amora, who had just stepped out of the kitchen, overheard the conversation and looked confused. She walked closer and asked, "Mom, what are you talking

Slowly, he turned his head. His eyes flickered quickly toward Blake, a mix of shock, fury, and fear flashing in his gaze. His brows furrowed deeply, the muscles in his face tightening. He studied Blake, unable to believe that the man could be responsible for this. His other hand balled into a fist at his side, his nails nearly digging into his palm. “Sir, we just received new information that the Pairend company’s business is also experiencing a drastic decline.” His assistant’s voice trembled, causing Betrand’s own hands to shake even more. It felt like Betrand had just been struck repeatedly. Even Pairend—a company that had only been established a year ago yet had shown impressive growth and profitability—was suddenly experie

Liana quickly glanced at her son. That was a large sum to give away just like that to the three police officers, but now was not the time to think about that. Romeo's freedom was the priority. Liana also nodded while clasping her hands in front of her chest. "Yes, we'll pay whatever it takes as long as you release my husband." The two officers behind Marco exchanged glances with each other. They were unsure if their leader would accept the offer or continue with their task. "How about it? Or maybe that's a small offer?" Romeo frowned. "Just tell me how much you want. I'll give it to you." He was so confident that his offer would work. He didn’t care how much money he would lose; after all, he had just gotten a commission from the illegal arms sale. It didn’t matter if he lost a lot of money, as long as he could be free and keep his family safe from punishment. "Oh, that's a very tempting offer," Marco no
