Chapter 1
Blake ran quickly, his breathing ragged and his body shaking with tension. Zuri-his mother-in-law, lying in his arms, was unconscious. Every second felt like an eternity as he fought against panic, trying to stay focused on the road despite occasionally accidentally bumping into other visitors.
"Hey, be careful!" The young man Blake accidentally bumped into swore harshly. "Watch your step, sucker." Blake lowered his head slowly. "Sorry, I was in a hurry." Ignoring the words of the man he accidentally bumped into, Blake rushed into the hallway of the emergency room. Several nurses in the emergency room immediately provided assistance, putting Zuri's body on a gurney; at the same time, the doctor on duty also approached them. "Please, check on my mother-in-law immediately." Blake's voice trembled slightly, showing his concern. The doctor carefully checked Zuri's vital signs. He placed a stethoscope on her chest and listened for a weak heartbeat. "Give me information about her medical history," he asked in a calm but firm voice. Blake tried to calm himself down. "She has a history of hypertension, and she fainted at home, then fell down the stairs." The male doctor nodded and took down the information. One of the nurses took some paperwork that Blake had to fill out first. "Please fill in your name and full information here." The nurse pointed to what Blake needed to fill in. Blake took a pen and filled in the information listed there completely and quickly. After the nurse took the form away, the doctor grabbed it and skimmed through it. The doctor then turned on the flashlight, checked Zuri's pupil response, and lifted Zuri's arm, which looked a little bruised. "We need to do some blood tests and scans right away," he said sternly to Blake. "This might be more serious than we thought." The doctor signalled the nurses there to bring Zuri immediately into the examination room. They all pushed the gurney, moving Zuri from the emergency department to the special examination room there. Meanwhile, Blake waited outside the room, awaiting the arrival of Amora-his wife. Not long after, Amora arrived at the hospital with quick steps and heavy breathing. Amora was busy at work but was forced to leave early after getting this news because Blake was an unreliable man. Amora, who looked angry, approached Blake with a sharp look in her eyes. "What else did you do this time to make my mom like this, Blake?" "Mom fainted from the shock of losing her bracelet." Blake's voice was lower than Amora's intonation. "Then, she fell down the stairs." He lowered his gaze slightly due to the guilt pressing down on him. Amora chuckled in annoyance, holding her head, which felt like it was going to burst. "You really are an unreliable man. You should have helped Mom find the bracelet." Amora was very upset. This wasn't the first time Blake had caused trouble. Zuri had complained to her several times that Blake was terrible, always giving her a headache. Amora had completely lost her patience. Blake exhaled slowly, looking at Amora with a sad gaze. "I've been trying to find her." "Shut up!" Amora didn't want to listen or believe him. "This is all your fault! Why didn't you pay more attention to mom? You could have prevented this!" Amora rubbed her face roughly, pushing her husband's body hard enough to push Blake back a little. "You really are too much." Amora exhaled harshly, glaring at Blake angrily. "I've worked so hard and I'm so tired of all the things you do. So at the very least, please don't complicate my life." Blake felt depressed. He knew that Amora had worked hard, but it wasn't his fault. He exhaled softly and kept quiet, trying to maintain his composure. Amora looked at him with mingled anger and sadness, pointing her index finger at Blake's face. "You're really unreliable, Blake." Guilt kept Blake silent, hoping that his mother-in-law's condition would improve. "That really sucks. This is all because of you, Blake." Amora clenched her fists in annoyance, sitting on a chair while swearing under her breath, blaming her husband. If only Blake could pay more attention to her mother, maybe this wouldn't have happened. Amora thought that if only Blake was reliable, her mother wouldn't have fainted and fallen down the stairs like this. Amora lowered her head, massaging her forehead, thinking about her mother, who was still unconscious. She was worried that something bad had happened to Zuri because, in the last few days, her mother had been complaining of headaches due to rising blood pressure. They continued to wait outside the room, sitting uneasily and occasionally standing tensely. Not long after, the door opened, and the two of them immediately approached. The doctor and nurses emerged from the room, exhaling a long breath. "The patient suffered an injury. Her left hand is sprained and requires conducive treatment." Amora covered her mouth, disbelieving. Of course, it immediately made her glance sharply at Blake. Her anger was peaking now. She wanted to blindly scold Blake again, but she realized it was out of place. For now, he just had to contain that anger. "So, how is my mom now?" Amora raised her head, trying to peek inside, so curious about her mother's current condition. "You can visit her. The patient has regained consciousness." The doctor stepped aside, raising his hand, allowing them to enter the room. Hearing that, Amora immediately barged into the room. While Blake looked down, thanking the doctor. The two of them immediately entered the room, seeing Zuri lying down and staring at Blake with sharp eyes. "Mom, how are you?" Amora, who was very worried, immediately hugged her mother's body. "Aw!" Zuri winced in pain when Amora accidentally nudged her sprained left hand. "Mom's in a lot of pain, Amora. My hand... what if i can't move your hand anymore?" Amora immediately looked at Zuri's hand with a pained feeling. She gently stroked the area around the bandage and the cloth supporting the arm. "No, Mom. I'll be fine and healthy again soon." Amora hugged her mother softly again, slightly lifting her body so as not to nudge Zuri's arm again. She was really concerned about her mother's condition. "Ah, my whole body hurts. I want to go home soon, Amora." Zuri whined like a child. "I don't want to stay here any longer. My hands, body, legs, everything hurts. I don't want to be a cripple. If I'm disabled, I'd rather die." Zuri cried, making Amora immediately shake her head and hold her mother's face lovingly. "No, Mom. You can't talk like that. Mom will be fine and healthy again. Your whole body is not deformed. Don't say things that make me sad like that, Mother." Amora looked very worried and loved her mother. She didn't want anything worse to happen than this, and hearing her mother's complaints made her feel hurt. "It hurts, Amora." Zuri sobbed spoilingly, showing her childish side to Amora. "It's all because of that useless lousy man!" Zuri looked at Blake, pointing her index finger at him. "Because of him, I fell down the stairs and got hurt like this." Blake, feeling guilty, approached, intending to apologize. However, Zuri shouted loudly instead, instantly halting Blake's steps. "Stop right there, damn it." Zuri didn't want Blake to come near her. "I don't want that lousy man here. I don't want to see him again." Zuri's gaze shifted to Amora. "Amora, if you really love Mom, you two should get a divorce!" Zuri's shout showed a burst of anger, making Amora's heart feel depressed. "I don't want to have a son-in-law like Blake who is poor and useless."Expand

The Secrets of Trash Son in Law Chapter 137b
Zuri, who was more sensitive to such matters, immediately approached with a worried expression, her eyes scanning her father’s body as if searching for anything unusual. "What’s going on? How could Father be moved just like that without any prior notice?" Zuri asked, her voice filled with concern and confusion. "My daughter, it was Blake who decided to transfer me to a better care facility. Everything was arranged properly," Jhonson said with a smile, his voice sounding stronger than before. Zuri looked at him sharply. "Better care? What do you mean? Why didn’t anyone inform us first?" The staff members were slightly taken aback by Zuri’s reaction, but they remained calm as they responded, "We were just following Mr. Blake’s instructions. The facility is highly exclusive, and there, Grandfather received more intensive care." Amora, who had just stepped out of the kitchen, overheard the conversation and looked confused. She walked closer and asked, "Mom, what are you talking

The Secrets of Trash Son in Law Chapter 137a
Betrand remained frozen in shock, completely ignoring Merry’s question. His hand, still gripping the phone, began to tremble, his fingers clenching around the device so tightly it was as if he wanted to crush it. His breathing turned erratic and uneven. Slowly, he turned his head. His eyes flickered quickly toward Blake, a mix of shock, fury, and fear flashing in his gaze. His brows furrowed deeply, the muscles in his face tightening. He studied Blake, unable to believe that the man could be responsible for this. His other hand balled into a fist at his side, his nails nearly digging into his palm. “Sir, we just received new information that the Pairend company’s business is also experiencing a drastic decline.” His assistant’s voice trembled, causing Betrand’s own hands to shake even more. It felt like Betrand had just been struck repeatedly. Even Pairend—a company that had only been established a year ago yet had shown impressive growth and profitability—was suddenly experie

“We tried to convince them to stay, but they’ve already given up,” the assistant continued, desperation creeping into his tone. “Even the banks are starting to reject our loan applications. If we don’t act fast, the company will go bankrupt!” Hearing those words, Betrand staggered backward, his head spinning. This couldn't be happening. His company had always been stable, its power in the business world unshakable. But now? Everything was crumbling in mere hours. He swallowed hard, trying to regain his composure. “How did this happen?” “What’s wrong?” Merry frowned, concern flashing across her face as she observed her husband’s stunned reaction. The Secrets of Trash Son in Law Chapter 136b
Liana quickly glanced at her son. That was a large sum to give away just like that to the three police officers, but now was not the time to think about that. Romeo's freedom was the priority. Liana also nodded while clasping her hands in front of her chest. "Yes, we'll pay whatever it takes as long as you release my husband." The two officers behind Marco exchanged glances with each other. They were unsure if their leader would accept the offer or continue with their task. "How about it? Or maybe that's a small offer?" Romeo frowned. "Just tell me how much you want. I'll give it to you." He was so confident that his offer would work. He didn’t care how much money he would lose; after all, he had just gotten a commission from the illegal arms sale. It didn’t matter if he lost a lot of money, as long as he could be free and keep his family safe from punishment. "Oh, that's a very tempting offer," Marco no
