"Please, sir." Mario handed the phone back to Blake, a look of regret on his face. "I truly apologize for the commotion."

Miguel, who was standing next to Mario, immediately rounded his eyes, seeing Mario's attitude, which instantly turned polite and respectful to Blake.

While lightly nudging Miguel's arm, Mario tried to divert attention. However, Miguel didn't accept his cousin's treatment, which seemed to demean his position. He gave Mario a sharp look, sensing that his cousin's attitude was making the situation worse.

"Hurry up and apologize to him." Mario whispered, moving his eyeballs as a gesture.

"I won't." Miguel snapped his eyes shut with an annoyed snort.

That made Mario even more annoyed at Miguel. He reached back, pushing Miguel's back to bow with him. "Please forgive his bad attitude earlier, sir."

Being treated like that made Miguel immediately throw Mario's hand away, not accepting to have been humiliated like that. "Let go! Don't treat me like this, damn it!" He looked at Blake sharply, full of anger. "Hey, this has got to be a trick of yours, right? He's a cheater, Mario. He must just want to use you."

"Shut up, keep your words to this master." Mario hardened his jaw, staring at Miguel with sharply rounded eyes, still holding back in Blake's presence. "Don't make any more trouble."

Miguel clenched his hands together firmly. He really didn't expect that his cousin would behave like that towards him just to defend a stranger.

"You're too stupid, Mario." Miguel shook his head, regretting his cousin's attitude. He gave Blake a mocking look. "He is a lowly, poor, and uneducated person. There's no way he's a messenger of Mr. Hover."

"Shut that mouth of yours, fool." Mario couldn't help himself. With a stifled voice, his face showed great emotion, instantly making Miguel fall silent.

Miguel's face looked red and tense, with deeply furrowed brows. He was surprised to hear his cousin yelling at him, whereas their relationship was usually very close, and even Mario always treated him well.

Miguel clenched both hands firmly, swearing inwardly, blaming Mario. Given Mr. Hover's reputation and prowess, he felt even more certain that Blake and the man never knew each other at all. He was sure that Blake was just trying to trick his cousin.

His mind was filled with doubts. "Someone of Mr. Hover's class couldn't possibly know someone like him," he thought. Miguel felt even more cornered by this situation.

He imagines how Mr Hover is surrounded by educated and experienced people and compares him to Blake, who he thinks doesn't fit that standard. Miguel becomes increasingly convinced that Blake is just someone who doesn't deserve to be around a big businessman like Mr. Hover, which further reinforces his condescending attitude.

Miguel looked sharply at Mario, voice hoarse, expressing his frustration. "I'm the one who asked you to accept this guy to work here, and he's supposed to be a toilet cleaner, Mario."

Mario rounded his eyes. He didn't expect that the man Mario had previously meant to accept to work as a toilet cleaner was the messenger of Mr. Hover, who was his important guest. Suddenly, Mario became even more annoyed with Miguel.

"That's enough. I don't want any more commotion, you'd better get out of here while I'm still being nice, Miguel." Mario raised his hand towards the door, trying to be nice to his cousin before his anger got out of hand.

Mario's voice was firm and quite high, making Miguel flinch slightly in surprise. He couldn't believe that his cousin was now defending his enemy and kicking him out of there.

"Hurry up and leave before I call security to drag you out of here." Mario raised his hand, pointing towards the lobby door.

Miguel's chest felt even hotter. His shoulders rose and fell, rumbling with anger. Irritated, he glared at Blake, then strode with rough steps out of their way while nudging Blake quite hard.

"Yes, my goodness. Please forgive the attitude, sir." Mario immediately bowed once more, apologizing for what Miguel had done to Blake.

Meanwhile, Miguel, who was already outside the company building, cursed angrily, shouting in frustration. "Damn it, this is all crazy." Miguel threw his hands in the air, then clenched them tightly into fists. "I won't stay silent. You'll see."

Miguel was determined to prove to Mario that Blake was just an imposter, and he would provide the proof. Meanwhile, Mario and Blake were already inside the room reserved for important guests.

"I've gotten information from Mr. Hover about... you working here." Mario was a little careful in his words as he didn't want to make Blake uncomfortable.

Blake nodded, agreeing with Mario's words. "Yes, that's right."

Mario nodded. "Yes, sir. I have prepared a position for you. Starting tomorrow, you can work here."

Blake just nodded slowly. They talked briefly about Blake's job and then shook hands before ending the meeting.

"Thank you for coming here, sir." Mario bowed respectfully before Blake. "Once again, I apologize for the incident earlier that has made you uncomfortable."

Blake looked at Mario coldly. The attitude of the person in front of him and Miguel was very different, even though they were cousins. Blake only responded to Mario's words with a nod of his head. Mario also escorted Blake to the front door of the lobby, accompanying Blake until Blake got into the company car that Mario ordered to deliver him.

Blake returned to the hospital to help Zuri, who was going home today. Once there, Blake headed straight to Zuri's hospital room. Still, just as he entered the hallway on the floor where Zuri's room was located, he ran into Amora.

"Oh, you're home?" Blake stood beside Amora, walking together to Zuri's room.

"Yes." Amora replied briefly with her usual cold face, not even turning her head towards Blake.

The two of them arrived at Zuri's hospital room door. Amora opened the door and went inside, followed by Blake from behind. But the sight annoyed Zuri, who saw it.

"I told you, you can't be together anymore," Zuri shouted, startling Amora, who rushed over to her.

"We didn't come together, mom." Amora shook her head quickly, stroking Zuri's arm gently. "We just accidentally crossed paths in the hallway."

Zuri gave Blake a sharp look. "Get out of here. I don't want to see your face again."

Zuri threw the pillow in her hand at Blake, which Blake immediately caught. At the same time, Zuri turned her face in another direction, making Amora exhale softly, seeing her mother's attitude that sometimes looked childish like this. She felt uneasy that her mother would yell like yesterday because she didn't want to make any more noise at the hospital.

"Mom, let's discuss this at home. Blake is here to help pack mom's things since she's allowed to go home today." Amora tried to persuade her mother nicely.

However, Zuri dismissed Amora's hand on her arm. She gave Amora an annoyed look. "I don't want to see you together anymore." She looked at Blake sarcastically, then turned her gaze towards Amora. Starting today, you guys should get a divorce!"

The staff members were slightly taken aback by Zuri’s reaction, but they remained calm as they responded, "We were just following Mr. Blake’s instructions. The facility is highly exclusive, and there, Grandfather received more intensive care." Amora, who had just stepped out of the kitchen, overheard the conversation and looked confused. She walked closer and asked, "Mom, what are you talking

Slowly, he turned his head. His eyes flickered quickly toward Blake, a mix of shock, fury, and fear flashing in his gaze. His brows furrowed deeply, the muscles in his face tightening. He studied Blake, unable to believe that the man could be responsible for this. His other hand balled into a fist at his side, his nails nearly digging into his palm. “Sir, we just received new information that the Pairend company’s business is also experiencing a drastic decline.” His assistant’s voice trembled, causing Betrand’s own hands to shake even more. It felt like Betrand had just been struck repeatedly. Even Pairend—a company that had only been established a year ago yet had shown impressive growth and profitability—was suddenly experie

His company had always been stable, its power in the business world unshakable. But now? Everything was crumbling in mere hours. Liana quickly glanced at her son. That was a large sum to give away just like that to the three police officers, but now was not the time to think about that. Romeo's freedom was the priority. Liana also nodded while clasping her hands in front of her chest. "Yes, we'll pay whatever it takes as long as you release my husband." The two officers behind Marco exchanged glances with each other. They were unsure if their leader would accept the offer or continue with their task. "How about it? Or maybe that's a small offer?" Romeo frowned. "Just tell me how much you want. I'll give it to you." He was so confident that his offer would work. He didn’t care how much money he would lose; after all, he had just gotten a commission from the illegal arms sale. It didn’t matter if he lost a lot of money, as long as he could be free and keep his family safe from punishment. "Oh, that's a very tempting offer," Marco no
