8. The Explanation About Another Dimension Life

Mal didn't know what situation he was in now.

Upon hearing the explanation from the man who looked older than Valkery and Olcra, Mal started to feel uneasy. What is the inauguration ceremony? Why are all the adults here emitting a mysterious aura?

"Tell me. Exactly what happened?" Mal ventured to say aloud.

His resounding voice was able to attract everyone's attention. Mal's serious eyes looked at the adults in front of him one by one. As if urging them to immediately explain.

The first to come forward was Valkery. He was about to speak, but the older man in white robes behind him held him back.

"Valkery, wait. You don't have to say anything." This rebuke was low and likely not sharp, but Valkery stopped short.

Even Valkery immediately turned around quickly and bowed. Mal feels weird. Why is Valkery apologizing through his body gestures? Who was that white-robed man?

"You..." The man in the white robe spoke, turning his eyes to Mal. Slowly, his steps began to move around the campfire to approach Mal. "I know you can't immediately understand this situation. However, one thing is certain for you to understand: The Seeker, your current position, plays a vital role in controlling the life of the World of Amapherald."

Mal frowned. He only then noticed that the white-robed man was holding a staff.

"I already know about that. But I'm not someone who can control the life of Ama World... Amaperla?" Mal paused while spelling out the name of the world the white-robed man had called just now.

Silence. Orcla's gaze became very sharp to Mal.

"Amapherald," corrected Oldeen who immediately whispered in Mal's ear.

Mall nodded. "The world of Amapherald. Whatever your world name is. One thing is clear, I'm not from your world and I'm not the Seeker you need."

"Why do you dare to say that to Chief Yuro?" said Orcla suddenly, attracting Mal's attention.

'Chief Yuro?' Mall is feeling interested. 'So, that guy's name is Yuro? Really a chairman?'

A second after Orcla replied, Chief Yuro then raised a hand at him. Giving a signal for Orcla to say nothing. Chairman Yuro's steps had stopped not far in front of Mal.

For a few seconds, Chairman Yuro watched Mal intensely. As his hand lowered, Chairman Yuro's slight smile curved up.

"Did you know that there are some paths in life that you just can't run away from?" asked Chairman Yuro, making Mal even more confused. "You have been assigned to be The Seeker since you first entered our world, Mal. Your name has been recorded in the divination book, and you cannot run away from this life of yours."

'This life of mine?' Mal felt attracted by the mention of that sentence.

"What do you mean?" asked Mal, his curiosity prompting him to dig deeper.

"You don't know what is called another life? Where are you who live in one life, also exist in another life. That is called a dimension within a dimension, and between one dimension and another dimension there is a relationship." Chief Yuro explained in a very slow and calm manner.

Mal didn't reply anything. He watched Chief Yuro seriously. His gaze followed Chairman Yuro's footsteps towards one of the nearest pillars.

Chairman Yuro reached out and held the pillar.

"The first dimension, the realm of reality. The second dimension, the parallel realm. The third dimension, the verge of reality and parallelism. Because of that connection, those of us who are in the other dimension must maintain life in the dimension where he is at that time. Or if it fails. .."

"Or if it fails?" Mal looked curiously at Chairman Yuro.

Chairman Yuro touched a pillar with his staff. Slowly and miraculously the moss on the pillar shifted away. Then appeared, from vague to clear, a carving of several naked humans who looked to be in torment. Above them, there is a planet carving with black and blue gradient colors.

There are also carvings of the moon and the earth circling the planet.

Mal didn't understand the meaning of the carving on the pillar. But he felt the people in the carvings resembled the ancient Greeks.

"Your other life failed. In other words, if you die in the first dimension, then you die in the second and third dimensions."

There was silence for a few seconds. Mal tried to understand and guess the meaning of Chairman Yuro's words.

"You mean I will die in another dimension if in this life, I die?" asked Mal.

Chairman Yuro turned around and looked at Mal with a satisfied smile. It was as if he was relieved that Mal finally understood what he was saying.

"That's right. You understand quickly," replied Chief Yuro.

Mal still looked thoughtful for a few seconds. "So... exactly what dimension is my current life in?" he asked.

Chief Yuro calmly replied, "Only you understand and can sense that," he replied. "You got the role of The Seeker this one in your life. You have nowhere to go."

"No..." Mal shook his head. "I must be dreaming!" he said while patting his cheek many times.

In the silence, there was only the sound of tapping Mal's cheek. Everyone was silent and watched Mal intensely. Oldeen immediately held Mal's hand from hitting his cheek repeatedly.

"Mal, stop it," Oldeen hissed in a whisper. "You have to stay sober. Don't go crazy."

Mal's face changed to one of concern. He looked at Oldeen.

"Do you believe what that person just said?" Mal asked Oldeen.

"That person?!" Olcra finally answered, speaking loudly. "Hey! You can't call Chairman Yuro 'that guy'!"

Mal turned to Olcra. Even though Olcra's eyes were sharp, Mal didn't care.

"Why? Do I have to respect him like you, all of you, respect him?" Mal said as loudly as Olcra.

Olcra's temper was stoked. Suddenly he stepped forward and intended to attack Mal. But the white-robed woman held him back.

"Olcra!" The woman shouted loudly.

"I don't need to respect anyone here, because I'm not from your nation!" replied Mal without fear.

Olcra laughed sarcastically as she looked away. "You really are an arrogant human!" he cursed full of anger.

Just as Mal was about to answer Olcra's words, suddenly his body stiffened. His lips froze and couldn't open. Mal tried his best to move his feet, but they seemed to stick to the ceramic. Only Mal's eyeballs could move, glancing left and right.

At that moment, between his stiff body, Mal felt something electrify. At first it was small, then gradually the shock grew. As if spreading in the middle of the blood flow, all over his body.

Mal closed her eyes as her head slowly tilted up. The feeling of pressure was so intense inside his head it made Mal wince.

It happened so fast and he didn't realize it. The last thing Mal heard before he lost consciousness was Oldeen's cursing screams.

"You damn people! Don't hurt him!"
