The sun rose over the quiet pillars of Sanctuary Seven, flooding the lawn with warm morning light.

Inside the master bedroom, Lucia slept peacefully. Her cheeks were no longer pale, and her breathing was deep and calm.

For the first time in over ten hard years, the nightmare was over.

Chadwick Lincoln was in chains.

Aurora stood near the garden edge, watching the place with a frown.

She could not sleep.

Every time she closed her eyes, the sound of gunshots filled her head. But what confused her now was not the fallen governor.

It was the strange sight right in front of her eyes.

Five heavy, blacked-out SUVs sat parked along the main driveway.

Dozens of men in black suits stood at sharp attention along the high iron fence.

Aurora walked up to the nearest soldier, her heart beating fast.

"Excuse me," she said, her voice shaking slightly. "Who hired you? Who is paying for all these vehicles?"

The commander stepped forward, snapping his boots together instantly. "Miss Bennett. Our orders are strictly confidential. We are here for your total protection."

"Confidential?" Aurora asked, stepping closer. "From whom? Who gives you your orders?"

"The Highest Authority, ma'am," the commander replied, keeping his head low. He did not look her in the eye out of deep respect.

Before Aurora could ask another question, the heavy glass doors of the terrace opened.

Julian stepped outside wearing a simple cotton shirt, holding a steaming mug of tea in his hand.

The moment Julian appeared, the commander’s eyes widened. He immediately spun around, dropped to one knee, and slammed his right fist against his heart. "Sir!" he called out in a low, booming voice.

Across the entire yard, every single armed guard bowed low toward Julian in total silence.

Julian did not look surprised.

He gave a quiet nod, took a sip of his tea, and walked toward the eastern balcony. "Commander," Julian said softly. "Keep the gates clear."

"At once, Sir!" the commander shouted, rising quickly and stepping back into line.

Aurora stood frozen in the garden, her mouth open.

They bowed to him like he was a king, she thought, her hands trembling. Why would soldiers bow to my brother?

She ran inside the manor, her mind spinning wildly.

On the leather sofa in the lounge, Julian’s dark jacket lay folded. Something heavy weighed down the inside pocket.

Aurora reached in with shaky fingers and pulled out a thick, black satellite phone made of heavy metal.

The screen was bright.

Scrolling lines of green code, live satellite maps, and naval fleet locations moved across the display.

Right at the top, bold golden letters flashed: Supreme Command Active.

Aurora gasped, clutching the device to her chest. She turned around and marched straight toward the balcony.

Julian was standing by the stone railing, looking out toward the distant towers of Sunspire City.

"Julian!" Aurora called out, her voice loud and emotional.

Julian turned around slowly. His eyes were calm and steady as he looked at her. "Aurora? Why are you shouting? Mother is still resting."

"Do not talk about her right now." Aurora cried out, holding the heavy satellite phone up between them.

"I want answers, Julian. Real answers!"

Julian looked at the glowing phone in her hand, but his expression did not change. "You should put that down, Aurora. It is not a toy."

"I know it is not a toy!" Aurora screamed, tears spilling down her face.

"This is a military satellite communicator. It has live fleet maps on it. What is going on?"

Julian took a slow breath and took a step toward her. "Aurora, sit down. Let me pour you some warm tea."

"No! I will not sit down." Aurora shouted, stepping back. "Look at me, Julian! Tell me the truth. Who are you?"

"I am your brother," Julian said softly.

"Stop lying to me." Aurora shook her head violently, her voice cracking with pain.

"A normal brother does not have black-ops soldiers falling from helicopters to destroy a governor. Those men outside... they didn't just bow to you out of politeness. They bowed like you own their lives."

Julian stayed silent, watching her with deep tenderness.

"We suffered, Julian. We starved!.” Aurora sobbed, clutching her chest. “Mother almost died. And all this time... you had an army behind you? Who are you, Julian? Are you a criminal? Are you a leader of some dangerous shadow group? Tell me!"

Down in the courtyard, two guards heard her screaming and started rushing up the stone stairs, drawing their sidearms.

Julian did not even turn around.

He simply raised his left hand into the air, holding two fingers up.

The guards stopped instantly on the stairs. They bowed their heads, whispered, "Forgive us, Sir," and backed away without making a sound.

Aurora watched this, her heart pounding against her ribs so hard it hurt.

The effortless power in his single hand gesture proved everything. He was not just a wealthy man.

He was a commander of men.

Julian walked up to Aurora.

He reached out gently and took the heavy titanium phone from her trembling hand, slipping it back into his pocket. Then, he placed his warm hands on her shoulders.

"Listen to me, Aurora," Julian spoke slowly, his voice deep, clear, and full of honest affection.

"Everything I did, every choice I made, was to keep you and mother alive. If I had revealed myself sooner, our enemies would have burned this city to the ground to reach us."

"Our enemies?" Aurora whispered, her eyes wide with fear. "Father's enemies?"

"Yes," Julian said softly. "The men who destroyed our father were far worse than Chadwick Lincoln. Chadwick was just a small dog barking for bigger masters."

"Julian..." Aurora's voice shook. "Are you going to fight them?"

"I am going to finish them," Julian corrected calmly.

"I will rebuild our family name, stone by stone. I will make sure no one ever makes you cry or feel helpless ever again."

"Who are you to them?" Aurora asked point-blank, staring right into his dark eyes. "Give me your true name."

Julian looked into her eyes for a long moment. Then, a gentle, warm smile touched his lips.

He leaned down and kissed her forehead softly.

"To the world, I am whatever I need to be," Julian whispered into her hair.

"But to you? I am just your brother, Aurora. That is the only title I care about."

Aurora closed her eyes as the warm tears ran down her cheeks.

She looked past Julian’s shoulder through the glass doors.

Inside the room, Lucia rolled over in bed, a small, happy smile resting on her face as she slept in full safety.

Aurora swallowed the hard lump in her throat. She knew Julian was hiding a terrifying secret.

She knew he held power that could shake whole nations. But looking at her mother’s peaceful face and feeling the warmth of her brother’s hand, she made her decision.

She wiped her eyes with her sleeve and looked up at Julian. "If I ask you again... will you lie to me?"

"I will never lie to you," Julian replied softly. "But some truths are heavy iron, Aurora. I carry them so you don't have to."

Aurora took a deep breath and nodded slowly.

"Then I won't ask again. I don't care about your armies. I don't care about your satellite phones. If anyone asks me... you are just my brother."

Julian laughed quietly, his eyes bright. "Thank you, little sister."

"Now go drink your tea," Aurora said, trying to smile through her tears. "I am going to my room to check the house systems."

Aurora turned and walked down the long corridor toward her private study.

She closed the door behind her, locking it tight. She sat at her wooden desk and opened her laptop, opening her custom network scanner to check Sanctuary Seven’s local firewalls.

"Let's see if those guards left any digital leaks," Aurora muttered to herself, her fingers flying across the keyboard.

Suddenly, her laptop screen froze.

The blue light turned into a violent, pulsing red glow. A loud, sharp alarm beeped through her speakers.

WARNING: EXTERNAL PENETRATION DETECTED.

Aurora’s eyes widened. "What is this?" she whispered aloud.

Lines of high-grade government code began pouring down her screen.

Someone was using an illegal backdoor key to bypass the national financial registry, searching deep inside sealed legal archives.

Aurora quickly typed a counter-tracking script. "You think you can hack in while I'm watching? Think again!" she shouted at her monitor.

Her fingers blurred over the keys, launching a recursive trace that slammed through five proxy servers in three seconds.

She locked onto the hacker's IP address just before the line could cut off.

The world map on her screen zoomed in rapidly, passing over global servers and landing directly inside Sunspire City.

The red target box locked onto the top penthouse floor of the Grand Financial Tower—the most expensive building in the city.

A small black message box popped up on Aurora’s screen, displaying the decrypted query details:

Search Query: Bennett Family Trust - Deceased Nicholas Bennett.

Target Result: Confirmed.

System Command: Locate Living Heirs Immediately. Eliminate If Uncooperative.

Aurora gasped, her hands freezing over the keyboard as her blood turned cold.

Someone far more dangerous than Governor Chadwick had just found them.
