He walked out cautiously, his gun tucked behind his back. He peeped out and made his way completely to the sound of the gun that echoed again.

Logan felt his heart go into a panic attack, and for some reason, It was weird. His heart was never scared of anyone or anything not even while he was in prison or after he had looked at his life briskly with no certainty of what the future might look like—

Not since that time years ago when his heart had trembled from the effect of having it shattered by the news of his mother's death, not like tonight.

His first thought was to ring her phone but those calls had ended futile, with no reply from her the taste of that bitter feeling filled his mind.

He had heard of Mafia men being murdered in cold blood, and he had read about incidents about it but now as the dark thought sank into his mind the sudden image of himself lying in his pool of blood filled his thoughts with the sudden image,  just moments before robbed

of his senses.

A hand touched him from behind, and with the adrenaline pumping through his veins and his knowledge of black martial arts, he flipped the man to the ground with a thud.

The man fell to the ground before he realized who it was.

"What the hell man?" Brock growls heavily arching on the ground with how hard he had landed.

He was about to apologize when Joanne's heavy chuckle filled the air.  It took only a moment to see him naked from the waist up with just his gun tucked to his back.

"What did you do ?" She asked, unable to control her heavy laughter.

" Why did he sneak up on me? "

"I didn't sneak up on you", he complained. " I just saw you lurking around and wanted —"

The bang from the gun filled the air again, it startled just him as the two looked unbothered.

"Oh, I can see what all this is all about." She muttered. "You were scared."

He rolled his eyes, the last thing she would want to admit to himself was being scared about all of this, not to her … Not to the same woman who thought he was a weakling.

"I am not scared, I just had to make sure everything was fine."

" It is just the guys having a shooting range and nothing more. "

" Shooting range? "

" I would show you. " She muttered.

She led the way through the hallway. Stopped when they arrived at the end with no doors or anything that showed like there was any.

He looked around cautiously. "Where is the door ?"

Joanne smiles sheepishly. "Stand  back, you are on it."

He took a few steps back and watched as Brock opened what looked to be an iron door right there in the ground.

The door opened into a dark room that had stairs leading down to an even darker room—

Immediately they stepped in and Joanne flipped in the light. He looked around and could see guns hung on the walls in both parts of the room.

"Welcome to our armory,"  Joanne muttered.

Thirty minutes later…

With an ear muffler, he walked down the room toward the men whom he had heard shooting a couple of hours ago.

"Have you tried this before?" Joanne asked.

With the muffle it was difficult to hear anything she was saying, she dropped her gun and adjusted his.

"I said have you done this before?" She asked again, this time with a bit of attitude.

" Not really, but I took a few lessons at ten. "

She nods her head impressively. " Do you want to gamble on who hits higher? "

Logan, who had learned more from gambling with Joanne, laughed heretically. " It would be foolish to do that, you grew up with guns all around you."

"Well, you shouldn't be too worried about beating a girl. "

The men around made a noise jeering them on with echoes of " Bet! " filling the room.

"Fine, but I am not playing your game."

Joanne stared at him with a smile on her face." What do you want? " She asked.

Logan looked around the room and swallowed the lump behind his throat, he licked his lips in deep thought, unable to come up with a better plan.

"I was right, you are too weak to battle it out with me " she stated.

"What did you say?" Logan asked with a bit of agitation.

In his soul he felt the need to prove himself, he was very aware that he couldn't lose to her again, he had to do something … Something that would give him leverage.

"It is fine, you can sit back and watch ." Joanne stepped to the podium and rang out five shots.

She walked back and winked at him, he noted to himself that if he ever was going to get his chance at getting that bit of respect he so much craved, it was now.

"What happens if I  hit those blue eyes over there?" He points.

They all looked back at him with a glint of emotion, one of shock-filled Joanne's eyes. She stared at him again laughing.

"That is impossible, no one ever did that."

" What do I get? " he asked again.

She licked her lips. "Fine, if you miss … You'd be enslaved to me for three days."

"And If I do this shot?" He asked.

"You can't. "

" If I make the shot, then I would be your slave. "

" Good!"

He picked up the gun and walked toward the podium.

"You know when I called myself a bad shot?" He clicked the gun. "I lied. "

Bang!

He was a scum for lying to her and she despised him for it, perhaps it would have been different if she had thought about all the words he said carefully before accepting the deal, but she didn't, instead she let herself be dragged Into all of this.
