Carson looked at the four men and did not feel fear. He only felt anger, hot and heavy in his chest. These were the men who had put bullets in him last night.

"You again," the leader said with a cold laugh. "Boss was right. You are hard to kill. But we will fix that tonight."

Carson did not answer. He stepped forward.

The first man swung a metal rod at his head. Carson caught it in his bare hand like it was a toy. He twisted it away and kicked the man's knee, and the bone snapped with a loud crack.

The man screamed and dropped to the ground. The other three rushed in at once. Carson moved faster than he ever had in his life, and the cultivation in his body made every hit land clean.

In less than a minute, all four men were lying on the road, holding their broken legs and crying out. Carson stood over the leader and pressed a foot on his chest.

"Tell the Bruce family I said hello," he said. "And tell them I am coming."

He walked away without looking back. His hands were not even shaking.

A taxi took him straight to the biggest car showroom in the city. The glass doors were tall and shiny, and the floor was so clean he could see his own face in it. Carson walked in wearing the same old clothes he had on since morning.

Two salesmen looked at him from head to toe. One of them smirked. "Sir, this is not a place for window shopping. The bus station is down the road."

"I want to buy a car," Carson said.

"Of course you do." The other salesman laughed. "Maybe you should try a used bicycle."

Carson pointed across the room. In the middle of the floor sat a red Ferrari Monza, low and sleek, shining under the bright lights. "That one."

The first salesman stopped smiling. "Sir, that car costs one point five million dollars."

"I know." Carson took out his phone and showed them the bank screen. "Do you take bank transfers?"

Both men leaned in and went quiet. Their faces turned pale, and then red with shame. But one of them, a tall man with slicked-back hair, was too proud to back down.

"That is probably fake," he said. "Fake screens are everywhere these days. Security, throw this man out!"

Slap!

Carson's palm hit his cheek so hard that the man spun around and fell over a chair. The whole showroom went silent.

"I did not come here to be insulted," Carson said calmly. "Call your manager. Now."

The manager came running, bowing so low that his forehead almost touched his knees. He checked the transfer himself and could not stop apologizing. Within ten minutes, the papers were signed and the keys were in Carson's hand.

The salesman with the red cheek stood in the corner and did not dare to look up.

Carson slid into the Ferrari and started the engine. It roared like a living animal under him. For a second he just sat there, breathing it in. Three years of washing floors, and now this.

Then he thought about the Bruce family, and his face hardened.

He drove across the city with the pedal pushed down. The streets blurred by him, and people turned their heads to look. When he reached the Bruce villa, he did not stop at the gate.

He went straight through it.

The gate flew apart, and the guards jumped out of the way. The red Ferrari tore across the front lawn, climbed the steps and smashed right through the glass balcony doors. Glass exploded across the living room floor.

Emily and Sarah were sitting on the sofa with cups of tea. Sarah threw hers in the air and screamed. Emily fell off the sofa and crawled behind the table.

Carson stepped out of the car with glass crunching under his shoes. The front of the Ferrari was smashed and smoking, and he did not even glance at it.

"Carson!" Sarah shouted, shaking all over. "You... you crazy man! Look what you did to my house!"

"Your house?" Carson walked closer. "You sent four men to kill me. Twice. And you are worried about glass?"

"We did not do anything!" Emily cried.

"Do not lie to me again." His voice was so cold that both women went quiet. "Listen carefully, because I will say this one time. If you ever send anyone after me again, I will not break their legs. I will come for your lives."

Sarah's mouth opened, but nothing came out.

"And that company you got by using me?" Carson said, turning to Emily. "Enjoy it while you can. You are going to lose it. All of it."

He walked back to the car. The engine still ran, so he reversed out through the broken doors, and the metal scraped loud against the wall. Behind him, Sarah and Emily sat frozen, too scared to say a word.

Carson drove back to the showroom. The salesmen were still there, and they were pale again when they saw the wrecked front of the car.

"I need this fixed today," Carson said. "As fast as possible."

The manager nodded quickly. "It will take at least a week, sir."

"I will pay for speed." Carson transferred five hundred thousand dollars on the spot. "Get it done by tonight."

The manager's jaw dropped. "Yes, sir! Right away!"

Carson checked his phone. The account was empty, not one dollar left.

Ding!

"Task Two complete. Congratulations, host. Rewards: one technology company, ten percent technology knowledge and ten SP points."

Carson's eyes lit up. A whole company! And before he could think about it, a flood of knowledge rushed into his head. Circuits, codes, machines and systems he had never seen before suddenly made sense. It felt like someone had opened a door in his brain.

He shook his head and laughed. "This system is crazy."

His phone rang. It was the hospital. He picked up fast.

"Mr. Roman? This is the doctor. I wanted to tell you that your sister is doing much better. She should be waking up very soon."

Carson closed his eyes and let out a long breath. "Thank you, doctor. Thank you so much."

"Of course. We are taking good care of her."

He hung up with a big smile. His sister was going to be okay. Nothing else mattered right now.

The Ferrari would not be ready for hours, so he flagged a taxi. The system had put the new company's address in his mind, and he gave it to the driver. It was called Zentech Corporation.

When the taxi stopped, Carson looked out the window and his smile faded.

The building was old and gray. Half the windows were cracked, and one of the signs had fallen off and hung by a single bolt. The front gate was rusty, and weeds grew through the cracks in the parking lot. It looked like a place that had already died.

He walked in. The lobby was dark, and a few workers sat around with tired faces. Some were not even working. They only looked at the floor.

Ding!

"Task Three: Take Zentech Corporation from a fourth-tier company to a second-tier company within one month. One hundred million dollars has been placed in your account to help. Failure will bring punishment."

Carson almost laughed out loud. One hundred million, and one month to do the impossible. But the technology knowledge in his head told him something strange. He could do it. It would be hard, but he could.

A thin man in a wrinkled suit came walking over. He was the manager, and he looked like he had not slept in days. "Sir, can I help you? We are... we are not accepting visitors. The company is, well, it is in trouble."

"I know," Carson said. "I am the new owner."

The manager stared at him. "I am sorry, what?"

Carson handed over the ownership papers that had appeared in his phone. The manager read them twice with trembling hands. Then he looked up, and for the first time in a long while, there was a little hope in his eyes.

"Sir, are you serious?"

"I am. And I want this company to rise again. Here is what I need." Carson spoke fast. "Make a full list of everything. The repairs for the building, salaries for every worker, maintenance and new equipment. Add up the total cost and bring it to me."

"That could take some time, sir."

"Take what you need." Carson opened his phone and sent over the whole hundred million. "Keep this with you. Use it to pay for everything on the list."

The manager looked at the screen, then at Carson, then at the screen again. His knees almost gave out. "Sir, you are giving me all of this? You do not even know me."

"I trust you," Carson said. "Do not make me regret it."

The manager nodded hard, and his eyes were wet. "I will not, sir. I swear it."

Carson gave him a short nod and turned to leave. As he reached the gate, his phone buzzed. He looked down and saw a name on the screen.

Hazel.

He picked up. "Hello?"

"Carson, hi!" Her voice was warm and a little shy. "I hope I am not bothering you. I wanted to talk to you about something. I have a show coming up, and I would love it if you could come."

Carson looked at the gray building behind him. He had a company to save, a sister to take care of and a family to destroy. But he found himself smiling.

"Send me the address," he said. "I will be there."

She sent it in a minute. Carson flagged down another taxi and headed her way.

Hazel stood in the middle of the office with her hands pressed to her chest. She had never met anyone who could throw ten million dollars at a problem like it was loose change. And the strange part was that she did not care about the money at all. What shook her was that he had done it for her."Carson," she said softly. "I do not know how to thank you. I will pay you back, I swear. I owe you for this.""You do not owe me anything," Carson said with a small smile. "Think of it as a business move. I am looking to grow my business, and an arena is a good start.""That is a lie.""Maybe a little." He shrugged. "But I will ask you for a favor one day. It is not for now. It is for later."She nodded slowly. "Anything. Just say it."While they talked, the old manager had slipped out into the hallway with his phone pressed to his ear. His voice was low and quick."Mr. Parker? It is me. Something has happened."Derrick was lying in a hotel bed with a glass of wine, a smug smile on his face. H

While Stella was saying goodbye to the old staff at the orphanage, Carson stepped outside and sat on the steps. He closed his eyes and opened the system store in his mind.A long list of items floated in front of him. There were healing pills, protection talismans, strange tools and rare books. Every item had a price in SP points, and most of them were far out of his reach. Then one name stopped him. King Presence. It would raise his aura to a terrifying level and make weaker people tremble just by standing near him. The price was fifty SP.Carson checked his balance. Thirty points. He needed twenty more, which meant at least two more tasks. He smiled and closed the store."Two more tasks," he said under his breath. "Fine. Bring them on."His phone buzzed. It was a message from the manager of Zentech. The list was ready. Carson opened it and read through the costs for the building repairs, the workers' salaries, the new equipment and the maintenance. At the bottom was the total.Eight

Across the city, Emily sat in the passenger seat of Derrick's car with her arms crossed. She was still angry about the red Ferrari. Even though she had told everyone it was fake, the sight of it kept burning in her mind."Derrick, why don't you have a car like that?" she asked. "You are a Parker. You have money. You could buy ten of those."Derrick smiled and rubbed her hand. "Do not worry, baby. I have good news. The company I work for was sold to a new owner last week. They told us there would be a big payment to cover all the late salaries.""How big?" Emily's eyes lit up."Very big. Maybe millions." He laughed. "Once I get it, I will buy you any car you want. Maybe two."Emily squealed with joy and threw her arms around his neck. She kissed him again and again, and Derrick laughed, enjoying every second. Neither of them knew that the new owner of that company was the same man they had just called a leech.Meanwhile, the Ferrari was gliding down a quiet road. Hazel sat in the passe

The taxi stopped in front of a tall glass building. Carson paid the driver and stepped out. Hazel had told him to come up to the third floor, where a small meeting room was waiting. He pushed open the door and found six people sitting around a long table. They were all singers, and he could tell by the way they dressed and the way they looked at each other. Hazel sat at the far end with her hands folded in her lap."Oh, look who finally showed up," a girl in a pink jacket said. "Is this the guy?""Hazel's new friend," a tall man with dyed hair laughed. "Hazel, is this really who you are bringing to your show?"Carson stood by the door and said nothing. His clothes were still the same old ones, and he knew how he looked to them."You could have had Derrick Parker," the pink jacket girl said. "Do you know how many of us would die to have a scion like him chasing us? And you picked this one? He looks like he cannot even buy a bottle of water."The others burst out laughing. Hazel stood u

Then it all came back to him, the van, the masked men and the gun.He sat up fast and pulled up his shirt. His chest was clean. There was no hole, no blood and no pain. He touched his stomach and found nothing but smooth skin."I am alive," he whispered. "How am I alive?"Ding!A glowing screen popped up inside his head, clear as day. Carson froze as lines of words and numbers slid across it. It showed his body, his strength and his health, and every number looked better than it should have."Welcome, host.
