Drax's heartbeat restarted as a bright blue light danced in his subconscious.

[Initializing: Detecting host] 

The letters spelled out inside his head.

"I have never loved you, Drax. All these years, I have been in love with your brother. And now that I've poisoned you, we can finally take your empire and make it ours!"

Drax could still hear the feminine voice echoing in his head. A voice that once brought him comfort was now the source of his greatest sorrows.

[Host synchronization complete. Congratulations! Soul swapping system activated. Host= Drax Braveman; Status= Former Overlord, now swapped with a useless son-in-law; power level: 0]

Drax opened his eyes as the heavy downpour of rain seemed to awaken him from his slumber, the taste of his wife's betrayal still lingering in his throat.

But something was different.

"Where the hell am I? This is not my world," Drax thought while he tried to move his body, but he was frozen in place, lying still on the street.

Almost all the bones in his body were broken, and while lighting flashed, Drax could see a black SUV that was parked a few feet away from him.

"How is this fucker still alive? I crushed him to death based on Miss Kira's orders. He was so useless that his own wife wanted him dead!" A harsh masculine voice yelled from the rain.

"This is not possible. None of this is possible. This is not my body! I don't have such a weak, malnourished body that breaks when knocked down by a car!"  Drax fumed in his heart as anger built.

Of course he would know. 

Drax's world- Earth 101, was unlike this place. It was a futuristic scientific place with flying cars, humanoid robots and astounding technological development, even to the most rural place.

And that was because of Drax's influence. He was the Great Overlord back in his world, a ruler of immense power with multi billion companies that span across continents.

But his wife had connived with his younger brother to poison him and steal his wealth.

Drax could remember the twisted look on her face as she stared at him while he choked. Her lips were thin as she smiled, and before he lost consciousness, he saw his brother kissing his wife passionately!

Snap!

Drax's bones began to twist into place while a large man approached him. The man could hear the cracks, but still, he approached, curious to see what was happening.

"This useless son-in-law of the Brune Family just doesn't know when to die, does he? I crushed him with my car and he's still alive? How the fuck is that possible?"

Drax heard the same male voice grumble again while his bones snapped back into place. 

In that instant, Drax knew exactly what had happened.

"I swapped souls with this useless son-in-law? His own wife must have tried to kill him too. If I'm in his body, then he must be in mine," Drax thought. But in the next second, the large man grabbed him and raised him from the ground.

"Not even a single bone is broken? What the hell are you?" The man cursed and punched Drax who staggered back before he fell to the ground.

"Fuck! This body is too weak!" Drax groaned while he slowly stood back to his feet. 

[New mission update: Kill your assassin and earn 10 points. Remarks: If you die in this body, your soul is lost forever. Failure is not an option!]

Drax could see the tab in his mind's eye. Of course he knew about systems. It was a regular thing in his world. But the soul swapping system was thought to be extinct.

 Why did it come to him?

The rain kept pouring, and while the large man advanced again, Drax quickly twisted to the side, grabbed the man's neck and snapped it.

Lighting flashed as the man fell to the ground with a thud. 

[Mission completed. 10 points earned. Remarks: Wait for further instructions]

Drax looked around for anything that could be of assistance to him. He had to get back to his body and exact his revenge on his ungrateful wife and insolent brother. How dare they try to murder him? 

Just then, something glistening caught Drax's eyes. It was a necklace. He crouched to pick it up, but the moment his fingers touched it, thousands of memories suddenly flooded his mind.

"It's his two year wedding anniversary today. This poor guy saved up everything he had just to buy his wife an expensive necklace. And she tried to kill him instead!" Drax thought.

With the memories, came the directions back to the Brune Family mansion. Without wasting any time, Dead got into the SUV and zoomed off. 

As Drax drove through the empty streets, he tried to push the pain in his heart away. But it always resurfaced. Drax had a lot of enemies that he always kept at Bay. Making the world a better place came at such cost.

But not even once in his wildest dreams did he imagine that his own wife would do anything to hurt him. He literally took her out of poverty, got her a degree and established a company for her. Still, she coveted what was his and cheated on him with his own brother.

"I'll destroy them both!" Drax swore while he took another turn. The Brune Family mansion was just ahead now. As Drax drove to the gate, the gateman was surprised to see him in the car.

"Open up now," Drax commanded while the gate man scoffed.

"The guts! Why are you in this car? You don't even know how to drive," the gateman mocked Drax while he fumed. 

How useless was this son-in-law?

"I won't repeat myself," Drax said in a calm but threatening tone. The gateman quickly sensed the change in his voice.

"Your wife, Madam Kira, has ordered that you should never be allowed in this house. It appears as if she's gotten tired of you and the constant embarrassment that you bring to the family," the gateman said and crossed his arms.

"This body might have been useless, but he did love his wife. It disgusts me to see him being treated this way despite everything he has done for her," Drax replied to the gateman who frowned in confusion.

"It appears as if you've lost your mind. Get out of here before I call security on you," the gateman threatened, but Drax came down from the car, grabbed the gates and rattled it, causing the gateman to jump back in fear.

"Tell your Mistress that I want to see her. There's something I must give to her," Drax said but the gateman took a defiant stance.

"I'm not going anywhere. Fuck off!" He yelled at Drax. 

Just then, a beautiful lady stepped out of the mansion wearing a flowing red dress. She wore a frown on her face as she approached the pair, and when she saw Drax, her lips parted in shock.

"Aiden? How are you here?" She muttered while she approached the gate.

"Aiden? So that's this man's name?" Drax thought as the lady frowned and crossed her arms. Drax recognized her immediately. 

It was Kira. His host's wife. The one who tried to kill her own husband.
