Fugaku nodded, then strode out of the Vegas family's gate. A dove-black Audi was parked at the entrance. Fugaku opened the car door and got in. The person in the driver's seat was the black-clad Shilpy.

However, Shilpy's eyes were now filled with displeasure. "Young Master, they have no right to treat you like this. Shall I go…"

"Enough!" Fugaku cut her off, then glanced at the unconscious Sam. "Is the matter resolved?"

"It's taken care of, Sir," Shilpy's expression turned serious as she drove and reported. "Miss Aprilia works at the Central Building and is the founder of YNetwork, a cosmetics company located in Megalith. She also has a daughter, about five years old."

In an instant, Fugaku's face looked as if it had taken a massive blow. His entire body trembled violently.

"A daughter? I… I have a child?" Fugaku's expression suddenly became extremely nervous, his lips stammering. His gaze was a maelstrom of emotions: joy, hope, and confusion. These emotions quickly morphed into a deep sense of regret.

All this time, Fugaku had risked his life for his country, he had not let anyone down. The only one he had failed was Aprilia. They were two strangers, bound together by a cruel twist of fate. That night, Fugaku had lost consciousness, and Aprilia had become his final savior.

Thunder had shaken the heavens, and water had splashed against the earth. For both of them, it was their first time—a night of pain and pleasure. And only now did Fugaku learn that his actions that night had resulted in Aprilia bearing his child.

At this thought, Fugaku's gaze turned firm and resolute, his temperament carrying a pressure that could intimidate without anger.

"If I can never repay my debt to you in this lifetime, then… may you find peace and happiness for the rest of your days, free from worry," Fugaku thought.

He asked with a faint smile, "She works at the city's Central Building?"

"Yes, Young Master." Shilpy glanced at Fugaku through the rearview mirror, noticing that her Young Master seemed different than before.

"Buy the entire building."

"Understood." After saying this, Shilpy took out her phone, dialed a number, and instructed her subordinate to carry out Fugaku's wish.

At this moment, if anyone had heard the conversation between Fugaku and Shilpy, their eyeballs would have popped out in shock. The Central Building, also known as the Northern region's landmark, was a skyscraper. It was worthy of being called the gathering place for the most high-class elites in the Northern City.

People would be incredibly proud to work in the Central Building, not just for the good wages. But also because this was a gathering place for high-class elites. As long as one could enter this business circle, it was equivalent to having one foot in the Northern region's business power sphere; they would be seen as having invaluable business worth.

And these two, in their casual conversation, spoke of buying the entire Central Building. How was that possible?

But anyone who knew Fugaku would know that he was anything but poor. In fact, the flow of funds under his leadership had reached an incalculable level. To Fugaku, money was just a number. A few minutes later, his phone rang.

Shilpy answered indifferently, then hung up. She turned and said respectfully, "Young Master, the Central Building has been successfully purchased. It is now your property." "Also, the original owner, Marc, asks if you have time. He plans to hold a handover ceremony for you."

"No, I don't have time." Before Shilpy could finish, Fugaku cut her off. "Have him handle the paperwork, and we'll talk after it's done. And don't forget, I want the building's name changed to Altar Company."

"Understood." Shilpy nodded and said no more.

After sending Fugaku home, Shanny returned inside, sat alone on the sofa, and zoned out. Putri, Jane, Bastian, and the others sat around the still-comatose Dimitri, all looking anxious. The Vegas family seemed to have lost its backbone; it was like a meteor strike.

"We'd better start preparing for the funeral." Bastian stood up and said with a sad expression.

Upon hearing this, everyone's expression tensed, but as they looked at Dimitri's peaceful face, no one said anything.

"Cough! Cough!" Suddenly, the comatose Dimitri let out a cough, slowly opening his eyes.

Seeing this, the members of the Vegas family were stunned. They stood frozen for a few seconds, then suddenly stood up and surrounded him.

"Look!"

"Dimitri… You scared me! Are you feeling better?"

"Brother, you're awake!"

"Father!"

The worry in the hearts of all the Vegas family members finally eased, and their expressions relaxed. Shanny hugged Dimitri tightly, everyone crying tears of joy, which stunned Dimitri.

Then, Dimitri remembered being in a coma. He had been preparing the auction report in his study, felt thirsty, drank a cup of tea, and immediately had a heart attack. His usual heart attack medicine was nowhere to be found. He couldn't hold on and passed out, only now waking up, weak.

Seeing his family had stayed by his side while he was in a coma, Dimitri said with a smile, "I'm not dead yet. What are you all crying for?" After saying this, he paused, then assessed his physical condition and said, "I feel great now, no pain at all. Did you call a highly skilled doctor?"

"Well…" It would have been better if he hadn't asked. The moment he did, everyone present tensed up. From beginning to end, it was Fugaku who had treated him with acupuncture.

"Could it be… Fugaku?" As this thought emerged, Putri, Jane, Shanny, and the others looked like fools, their expressions turning sluggish.

"Impossible, impossible…"

"It must be luck, just a coincidence!"

"What happened?" Seeing everyone exchanging glances, Dimitri's expression also became stern. His illness was cured, and as the head of the family, he carried a certain intimidating aura.

Putri and Shanny mumbled, not daring to speak.

"Are you going to tell me or not? Do you not listen to me anymore?" Seeing his wife and daughter also hiding things from him, Dimitri's voice became even stronger.

Startled, Putri could only brave herself to tell him about Fugaku's return. Even if she framed it as a matter of luck, the fact that Fugaku had cured Dimitri remained unchanged.

"Actually… Fugaku came and treated you."

"What? Fugaku came? And he treated me?" Dimitri's body trembled visibly. He pinched himself hard. It wasn't a dream.

So, he asked excitedly, "Where is Fugaku now?"

We can’t deal with him, but are you telling me the Diningrat family can’t?”“That’s an excellent idea!”Hearing Chris Jansen’s analysis, Putri, Shanny Vegas, and Jane exchanged looks. In the past, they had only wanted to drive out that unlucky Fugaku Meteor, so they ignored how much he had changed or rather, they never bothered thinking in that direction.“So what should we do?”After thinking for a moment, Chris Jansen spoke seriously, “Win his heart.”“What?”Putri, Shanny Vegas, and Jane’s expressions shifted instantly after hearing that. After a brief silence, they began complaining.“Grandfather, what kind of idea is t

Putri thought for a moment, then spoke with a know-it-all tone, “I think it’s a major project approved by the government. Since it’s funded by the authorities, that means it’s a state-level project. That’s why it can get such massive support. Doesn’t Northern have a land-renovation plan for the Northern Dock? It must be starting soon!”She turned to Chris Jansen with excitement. “Dad, I remember the Jansen Family is also part of the Northern Dock renovation plan, right?”Chris Jansen frowned. “No. A project of that scale can only be fully participated in by the major families.”Fugaku Meteor’s expression didn’t change. The Diningrat Family, the Syailendra Family, those were the major families. But he still didn’t look worried. To him, none of it mattered.Putri ignored Chris Jansen’s words and became even more excited. “This is great news. Even just making contact with such a big project will bring enormous profits. Forcing a smile, she muttered, “It must be because there’s a major project in Northern starting soon. The Northern Dock is undergoing renovations, right? The workers must be headed there.”“Impossible?” Fugaku Meteor glanced at the Jansen Family members whose faces had gone pale. He said, “Things you consider impossible only seem that way because your knowledge hasn’t reached far enough. In this world, nothing is imp
