"You are making my work a lot harder than it needs to be" An ice cold voice with a hint of killing intent said slowly to the city lord.

When he heard the voice, his legs grew cold as he felt a cold blade on his neck and then a warm liquid flowed down his legs and his pants became wet.

"Okay I am sorry"The city lord said to James after calming down.

"why are you so scared when I haven't even done anything" James said as he started to think of what to say to the man.

"Who are you?" The city lord asked with a look of respect.

"I can't tell you who I am because it will only cause you disaster, I was just passing who was passing through your lands but decided to test you and I am glad to say that you passed the test, I prepared this monster horde as a reward to protect you from who or whatever will have ill intentions against you" James said with a smile as he tried to look cool.

"Oh then I will thank you my lord on behalf of my people, please let us have a feast in your name to thank you" The city lord said with respect.

"Thank you but as I said, I am a traveller so I will like to continue my journey" James said as he wanted to finish the mission early.

"Please it is the least we can do for what you have done for us" The city lord said as he tried to convince James.

"Okay then but I will leave in the morning" James said because he knew that the city lord would feel bad if he refused.

"I am happy that you have accepted my invitation, my men will show you to our best rooms to get ready for the feast" The city lord said happily as he ordered a dumbfounded guard to take him to their best room.

The guards were dumbfounded because they just saw their city lord attacking their the stranger but he managed to dodge it and then their city lord ordered a guard to show the stranger to their best rooms.

While they were trying to recover from their shock, their city lord walked to them and told them to go back to their homes and prepare for a feast then walked away.

Even when they were still in shock, they were excited about the the thought of a feast because that means that they were safe and by the way that the stranger was being treated with respect by their city lord, it meant that he was very powerful.

So swallowing the shock and throwing the previous events to the back of their mind, they went back to their homes to their families who were relieved that they didn't have to sacrifice their lives.

That night, James had such a great time that he started to doubt that all this was just in his head. He was told various stories about the city and how it's previous leaders had sacrificed their lives to protect the city.

When the feast was over, the city lord took James to a secret room in his palace and told him that he had a gift for him and then showed him a bow which looked ordinary but he felt the bow calling him and then something strange happened.

James had a strange feeling like he had experienced the moment before like déjà vu.

He touched the bow and then it shook slightly then he had different visions, in one of the visions, he saw a handsome figure with golden hair and blue eyes wearing armour that shined with a bright light wielding a golden coloured bow with a lightening symbol.

In another vision, the figure was surrounded by many powerful demons but he only drew his bow and fired one arrow and that one arrow slaughtered all the demons and returned back to him.

In another vision, he saw the same figure being chased by billions of demons who were being led by 10 huge demons, as the figure ran, he fired arrows which killed demons after demons.

The figure killed about half of the demons before he ran out of arrows which caused him to keep his bow and draw his sword which gave pressure to even the 10 demons who were leading the demon army.

He paused after he drew his sword and turned around which caused the demon army to pause out of wariness.

"No matter how strong you are, you can't win against 10 demon emperors by yourself so just surrender and give us the stone" One of the demon leaders said to the figure.

"Hahahaha and who said I am alone " The figure laughed as he looked into the distance and multiple bright lights could be seen approaching with lightening speed.

When the bright lights got closer, they stopped to reveal thousands of figures consisting of different races.

"Oh I hope we aren't late" The leader of the figures who had blue hair and dragon eyes said with a smile.

"You are just on time" The golden haired figure replied as he returned the smile.

"Wait where's Dave?" The blue haired asked as he looked around.

"You know how he likes to always be late to events like this, I am sure he is on his way" The golden haired figure answered with a grin.

Right after he finished talking, a portal opened up and a red haired figure with flames around him stepped out.

After stepping out, he waved his hand and other portals opened up and several figures stepped out from them.

"I hope I you didn't miss me" The red haired figure said with a menacing smile as he glanced at the demon army.

"Now do you think we can win " The golden haired figure said as he glanced at the demon army.

"Even if you win us, more will come " Another demon emperor said.

"Oh then let them come because we will be waiting" The blue haired figure said before they rushed to battle.

The vision stopped and in another vision, the three figures were seriously injured as the fought against the combined efforts of 15 demon emperors.

The three figures fought valiantly but they were still defeated but this was after they had killed 10 of them.

"I will return to destroy all of you so you should expect me for I am James the God of lightening" The figure said before stabbing himself and placing a stone on the spot as it drank his blood, time started to warp.

"Noo stop him" The demon emperors tried to stop him but they were too late, a bright light enveloped the three figures as they disappeared.

The vision stopped and James looked like he just come out of a trance as he stood covered in sweat.

"What the... who.. I.. am the God of lightening" James said as he stood there in shock.
