The Might Of A Beast Tamer

Deep in a forest, there were animal corpses littered around and the originally large monster horde waa reduced to half.

James stood in front of the monster horde with tattered clothes and injuries all over his body. In front if him were the three monster kings, there was no more savage look on its face and instead there was the look of obedience.

"Wow the beast tamer skill was really useful in this situation even though it had a price" James said happily as he thought of his plan. He and sat on the back of the strongest beast king and told it to move in the direction of the city but it should stay at the end of the horde.

Meanwhile the city lord had gathered his esper army who stood behind him like a huge wall.The soldiers stood as if everything was fine but the atmosphere was extremely tense and to get rid of the tense atmosphere, the city lord decided to give a speech.

COUGH

"I know that you are all scared of the eminent battle but I want you all to cheer up, because we are doing this to protect our families so even if we die, our families will be safe" The city lord said and paused to observe the faces of the soldiers.

"So I want to assure you that I your as your city lord will gladly put my life on the line to ensure that your families will survive this battle and I pray that you are also ready to do the same" The city lord ended his speech with a cheer which also lifted the spirits of the others.

As they were waiting for the horde to arrive, they sang a song to keep their spirits high and as they were, they heard a loud rumbling sound that sounded as if thousands of men were stomping on the ground.

Immediately they heard the sound they knew what it was and then the atmosphere became tense once more.The rumbling sound continued for some time, before the monster horde were seen coming out of the forest.

While the men men were waiting for the horde to move closer to them, the most surprising thing happened.The monster horde stopped just a little distance away from their traps.

When the Soldiers saw this, their hearts jumped into their throats as they thought that the horde had seen through their plan.They were shocked when they saw the horde separate into two, and make way for a gigantic monster which they immediately identified as the strongest monster king, because they two other monster kings behind it but the remaining two were no where to be found.

As they looked at each others faces, they realized they were thinking the same thing 'When did the monsters become so intelligent'.

When they had calmed down, they received another shock because on the strongest monster king's back was a human, the first one to recognize the human was the city lord.

SNORE

While they were trying to make sense of the situation, they heard a snore coming from the human which caused their expressions to become dark.

As if realizing his situation, James sprung up like a spring and looked around before relaxing.He went back to sleeping on the monsters back which caused the soldiers to wonder if he was aware of what was going on.

After making the soldiers wait for an hour, he woke up and stretched his body before getting down from the monster Kong's back and smiling at the soldiers back.

"Sorry for making you wait so long, I was feeling sleepy so I decided to take a quick nap but mistakenly fell into a deep sleep" James said to the soldiers as he walked towards them.

Hearing this the soldiers had the urge to beat him up and were thinking, you clearly saw us and yet still took a nap in this situation.

The city lord jumped to the ground and moved towards James with a speed the naked eye couldn't see and a fireball gradually materialised in one hand and a iceball in the other hand.

As James thought the city lord would throw it at him, the city lord suddenly moved his two hands together and merged the fire and iceballs together which turned into a ball containing the two elements and then threw it at James.

Facing the yinyang ball approaching him, James was calm and as he expected, his surrounding suddenly slowed down and the ball also slowed down.

He walked towards the ball and studied it as he started wondering if he would also be able to merge his own Ice cage, fire domain and wind fury together like this.

As he was thinking, he noticed that time was going back to normal so he moved to the back of the city lord and then time went back to normal.

The yinyang ball landed on James previous location and created a huge crater which also caused the ground to shake. The city lord didn't see any sign of James so he thought he was dead but then he heard cries of shock and astonishment from his soldiers behind him.

The city lord first thought it was because of his attack but then he heard a voice behind him which made him freeze.

"I am only here to help you, I mean you no harm"James whispered into the city lord's ear.When the city lord heard this, he froze and turned slowly to face the source of the voice and what met him was James smiling at him without any injuries.

"Howw did you.. " The city lord stammered as his heart was filled with fear, he couldn't believe that this seemingly weak esper could move so fast and appear behind him without him even noticing, and what was more terrifying was his voice which was so calm as if everything was in his control.

"I told you not to worry, I am only here to help you" James said in his calm voice once again.

"Youu don't comee nearr mee" The city lord said with fear in his voice.He moved back slowly and turned around to run but as he turned around what met him was an cold voice.

"You are making my work a lot harder than it needs to be" An ice cold voice with a hint of killing intent said slowly to the city lord.

When he heard the voice, his legs grew cold as he felt a cold blade on his neck and then a warm liquid flowed down his legs and his pants became wet
