12. Neighbor

Edward walked calmly along the street, carrying his plastic bag. Unlike the woman ahead, taking large and quick strides, appearing panicked.

As the woman turned at the corner and disappeared from his sight, Edward also turned at the same bend and didn’t see anyone there. He thought she might have already reached her home, so Edward slightly quickened his pace. After all, he wasn’t accustomed to walking slowly and wasting time.

Just a few steps away from his residence, someone jumped in front of him and hit his face with a bag. The distinctive loud scream of a woman echoed.

“Perverted scoundrel! What do you want by stalking me, huh?! Shameless, immoral!”

In his lifetime, this was the first time Edward had been called a perverted scoundrel. Veins bulged on his forehead in anger, he grabbed the woman’s wrist and restrained her. His jaw tightened, and his eyes squinted slightly.
