Samuel and Nina rode toward a village close to the Bahamas Mountain. The village was named after the mountain and was mostly surrounded by rocks, which created several routes leading into it.

According to what Samuel had learned, the villagers had been forced to flee multiple times, but that never stopped them from returning. The place wasn’t exactly a permanent home, as most occupants were hunters who came to track demonic beasts or gather herbs.

Sometimes they stayed longer because they hadn’t met their target yet, so they would remain in the village before heading back. It was also an ideal place to keep mounts before going deeper into the mountain region, since those areas were overrun by demonic beasts. Fighting while mounted wasn’t the best option there.

"Hello, are you guys new to this village?" a small kid suddenly asked. He wore slightly tattered clothes and his hair was rough.

Samuel looked at him wearily before answering. "Yes."
