CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR

“Let’s go.” Millie handed the card she stole from Carl to Hudderson, and then she checked him out to be sure that he didn’t look suspicious.

While they moved toward the stairs, in the back, Hudderson was forced to endure the sweaty smell from the black jacket.

He couldn’t complain, he just twisted his nose whenever the smell his him so hard.

He maintained eye contact with all the guards who stared at him.

Even though there were over thirty guards all over the building, they seemed to be aware that his face didn’t look familiar.

Millie on the other hand was so nervous that she almost tripped and fell, taking a deep breath each chance she got.

Finally, they arrived at the main door, and they were stopped by the two huge guards standing next to it.

“Have I seen your face before?” One of the guards asked, staring at Hudderson who nodded.

“I am new, but I have seen you before.” He said calmly, keeping his expression.

“This is your home, Gabriel.” Hudderson broke the silence a few seconds after he had observed the angry look on Gabriel’s face. “You are not going to run away from your home. Your family left it for you.” He took a deep breath, and after a few seconds, he continued with a substantial tone.“We are going to go in there, and we are going to take what rightfully belongs to you.” He insisted, and even though the young man seated next to him didn’t seem like he was paying attention, he was very keen on achieving his goal. “Come on, Gabriel.” He opened the door and alighted from the car.“Let’s go.” He urged, pointing to the house while Gabriel stared at it for a few seconds without uttering even a word. It took a while, but Gabriel joined Hudderson, and together, they marched toward the mansion with the Supreme Ruler ahead. Hudderson took a deep breath the moment he stopped in front of the wooden door, but just when he was about to knock, Gabriel stopped him, grabbing his arm with both

They all stared as Hudderson and Gabriel left the mansion, their lips sealed entirely. The moment Hudderson and Gabriel got into the car, the latter looked back, and the sight of Gabby standing in front of the mansion caused his chest to tighten. At that moment, it almost seemed like he was beginning to regret his decision to follow Hudderson into the car, tears welling in his eyes. When the Supreme Ruler saw the tears in his eyes, he grunted, shaking his head with a twisted expression. “What are you doing?” Hudderson asked with a smirk on his face, looking him in the eyes. She forced a smile the moment she pulled away from him, looking him in the eyes. Just then, Hudderson appeared before them, but his main focus was on Gabriel, his friend. “We need to leave this place, Gabriel. Now.” He said, with a smirk across his face, staring at his friend, whose expression instantly dropped. Gabby was not left out of the gloom, shaking her head while she tried to hold back her tears. She sniffled moments before it dropped, and then she turned to Hudderson, inching two desperate steps closer to him. “Please don’t take him away from me, Sir! You are not meant to be home until…” The Mayor paused, reaching for his memory.
