“Inform Miss Sinclair old friend wants to see her for personal reasons!" Hudderson's voice was calm. Deliberate.
But the guard blinked, then burst out laughing. "You know the bride?” The chuckle rolled off with a roar, carrying off a mocking gesture.
"Do you even know Miss Sinclair?” He sneered.
“She's the pearl of the City. Owner of multiple billion-dollar investments. Men crawl for her attention, women gossip her praises. And you?” His eyes scanned Hudderson's plane clothes with theatrical disgust. “You look like something the gutters coughed out.”
“Why do you think a walking appendix of your nature would even come close to knowing Miss Sinclair?" He asked with eyes that seemed to pique with curiosity. But rather, more of mockery.
Snickers rose from the small crowd that had gathered. Some of their passes had been rejected and they could not get their way into the ball. Their eyes gleamed with cruel disgust at the spectacle.
"Even if men are empty from the world,” The guard pressed on, his grin cutting wide. “Miss. Sinclair would still choose an animal over you! Or maybe she could keep you as a pet on a leash.”
Laughter rippled through the watchers. “Look how terribly he is even dressed, daring to speak of entering the ball. Does he intend to spoil the aesthetics of the place?"
“Didn't realize poverty hurts the brain this bad.” They whizzed hurtful words past Hudderson's hearing. However he stood steady, his tone never raised.
"What's the formal way of getting into the ball?" Hudderson was gentle and calm.
The guard slapped his tight. Laughing harder.
"Listen everyone. He asking how he could be a welcomed guest here!”
The mockery stung sharper than blades. But he leaned closer to Hudderson, like a villainous conspirator.
"Sure. I will tell you. First you have to register online, the registration which costs over a million dollars, then you have the bye pass the check and wait in the queue.
And even if you can afford all of these which from the obvious, you can't, today is the wedding day and the only pass you would be getting is one that is your grave if you don't get your ass off from this place."
That was just enough information Hudderson needed.
He slipped away from the jeering mob of crowd. Crises raining after him.
“Retreat while you can beggar."
"At least he has common sense to retreat when his schemes have failed!" Another one of them muttered.
From his pockets, Hudderson pulled his phone. As much as he needed to keep his identity secret to prevent the city from going up in an uproar, he also needed to get the Miss. Sinclair as soon as possible.
One call. A voice picked up the phone instantly, trembling between reverence and fear.
"Master, What do you require?" God of War Pennel himself. King, Ruler and protector of Mog. He was shocked that the Supreme Ruler would call so soon, after leaving the central war zone just a few days ago. His voice stumbled over each other.
Hudderson didn't respond. God of War Pennel didn't feel hurt. He stuttered rather. He was the Supreme Ruler after all.
He was worshiped in secret. Feared and revered at the same time.
"I'm at the Sinclair's gate. I need a pass for the ongoing ball. Quietly." He added.
"Yes I will get it done right away!" Pennel responded, his voice entangling with both fright and excitement.
A few moments later, Hudderson returned to the guard, his face almost unreadable.
"You again?" The guard's face was twisted with disgust.
"Didn't you just return to the gutters where you came from? How are you back here?" He shoved an extremely cold look at Hudderson.
"Pathetic people never really give up, do they?” A bulky grey-haired lady from the crowd hissed!
"He should be bubbled and sent to jail before he infects all of us with his... Poverty. I'm very sure it's contagious!" She added, earning approving applause from the crowd.
"You would agree with me that I have been quite lenient with you. Leave in five minutes . Or you would like the consequences!" He muttered bold gossip.
Hudderson gaze was ice. “No need. I have a pass.” His phone had chimed. The pass had arrived.
A chant of laughter echoed through the room. The other guards joined in.
“How delusional.”
"I think we diagnosed him wrong. He isn't just broke and stupid. He also escaped from a mental health institute!" The grey-haired lady announced, rolling her ass off with laughter.
"Or maybe he thinks he's the God of War!"
In the country of Mog, only the God of War could process a pass request that fast without going through the required protocols, and by his actions, Hudderson had equalled himself to one.
"Who can tell? Maybe it's another clown that has been hired by the Sinclairs to entertain us. Cause I don't believe anyone can be this dumb in real life!" They continued throwing bricks of viper-laced words at him.
"Why don't we even see what he calls a Pass. I'm sure it's another scheme to beg!" The guard yanked the phone from Hudderson's hands, smirking. Until he froze. His eyes widened. Sweat froze across his fore.
The guard slides through. He suddenly stopped. His hands zooming. His eyes were bulging.
The crowd could easily detect the sudden change in the mood. They stopped, slowly.
The guard's heart shifted. What if he was wrong? What if he had actually made a mockery of someone who had legal rights to the ball?
The pass didn't lie. It was real. Official. Immediate. Silence thickened in the waiting crowd.
Definitely, anyone who could assess the ball could ruin his life over and over again with just a few words. His heart stumbled and bead after bead of sweat dripped down from his face.
He looked at the pass. Then at Hudderson. And then pass again. It looked authentic. But the person standing before him.
'Impossible.' The guard thought. There was no way that this pass belonged to him. It was either stolen or forged.
"Now you have gotten yourself into a whole lot of issues mister! Tell me, where did you steal this?” His face was torn open with fine lines of rage as he blotted.
"You never noted that an explanation was also part of the requirements.” Hudderson said flatly.
The temperature in the room was beginning to drop together with his gaze. Everyone around could feel the cold touch of the air on their skin. It was strange and frightening.
"I make the rules here. And you don't answer my question with a question!" The guard snapped.
"First, I got it how everyone else gets their pass. And secondly, if you feel something is wrong, run it or my finger print through a scanner!" Hudderson words slit through the air like blades.
The guard growled.
"Do you think I would waste my time doing such when I already know this pathetic narrative?
If you really wanted to get into the ball using such dubious means, then you could have done a better job!" He thundered.
The crowd gasped.
"I can't believe that he actually tried to scam his way into the ball."
"Broke people and audacity. Where do they buy their wretched confidence from?" The crowd of influential people or noted with disdain in their voice.
Hudderson's eyes flared.
"This is the last opportunity I'm giving you to do your check or let me in!"
"Oh. You're not getting any. Not even the chance to leave this place!"
The guard already got his walkie-talkie, placing a call to the arrest department.
"This is the last place you would be seeing before rotting in jail!" He announced.
"If I were in your shoes, which would be like; never, I would start enjoying the scenery already."

The boy had expected Hudderson to be scared the moment he heard the sound of the motorcycles approaching, but he seemed to be too calm, looking around while he waited to see who was coming. “Tell them that you didn’t see me.” The boy ran into the building and slammed the door, locking it at once. In a matter of seconds, the smoke rising from the chimney stopped, and silence returned slowly. Hudderson only had to wait for a few seconds before he started to see the motorcycles as they sped toward him.Their riders were erratic, hooting and laughing hysterically as they held carelessly onto the handles of the bikes, pulling very dangerous stunts. He was about to give up when he saw the smoke rising from the sky.It was

Is this how we will enjoy this marriage?” Hudderson sighed heavily, and feeling the sadness that gripped her, he decided to make her feel better. “I already told you, wifey. I am going on a journey to save Tony’s sister. Her life is at stake, and she needs something very rare to make her get better.” Charlotte took a deep breath, and it was hard to tell if she believed him or not. “Where exactly are you going?” She asked, and it was hard to tell if she was going to get a response from Hudderson. Felix stuttered, gripped by an intense fear that seized his voice. “What did you say to me?” Hudderson took just one step forward, but that was all he needed to make the Doctor scared. “Please, don’t make me leave! I am happy here!” He pleaded with teary eyes, but that was not enough to stop Hudderson from still marching up to him. “I was not asking.” Hudderson grabbed him by the neck again, but instead of pinning him to the wall as usual, he decided to lift him several inches above the ground. The Doctor’s feet dangled all over the floor, and even when he tried to break free, it turned out that his entire strength was nothing compared to the might of the Supreme Ruler.
