Chapter Nine: The Boy and The Heron
Jett lifted Eider on his shoulder as the A ranker led them out of the building. Everything was in ruins and corpses filled the entire area. The district had been hit by a calamity and everywhere they walked, wails of sadness was the resounding theme. A torrent of explosions rocked the entire area as everyone sought to find cover. Jett felt the beam of light pass through his right shoulder as he tumbled to the ground. He crashed to the ground and felt his life flash before his eyes as he felt multiple beams coming for him, however, nothing touched him. Jett spent the next three days laying low and solving daily missions from his system, gathering item rewards.
