Chapter 2 The night before the raid (2)

"My worries are in vain?" She looked straight into my eyes to find the right answers to her question but I was always good at hiding my true emotions, let's say destiny has trained me for this moment since my birth.

"You know too well after lifting the seal, king, leaders and guardian will definitely try to kill you." I know, I murmured under my breath.

"I don't know what preparations you have made to counter them; but it is definitely suicidal to go on this raid unless…." She looked at me and continued.

"You are planning to trick the king and leaders again just like you tricked them hundred thousand years ago?" she asked curiously.

"No." I replied in a serious tone.

"This raid will be as real as it can be." I was not fooling around anymore and I definitely have devised enough countermeasures for it to be successful.

A hundred thousand year ago, i encountered an opportunity to break through and become a Primordial Dragon, but for that to happen I have to enrage king enough for him to throw me into the abyss, which was a sentence worse than death for dragons.

Abyss was a prison made by the ancient Dragons with the help of most powerful dragons of that time, which can only be opened and closed by king himself. It was an prison in separate dark dimension filled with nothing but mana and darkness.

I agreed with kings proposal to lift the Soul contract in exchange of lifting the seal and as agreed we started the raid. I intentionally failed to clear the floor and was thrown out of the tower, but king and leaders waited for me at last floor for 2 years.

When they returned, they were already the laughing stock of whole dragon race and in rage king threw me into abyss for thousand years but that was what I was aiming for from the beginning.

When 2 years were left for my sentence to end I forcefully opened the entrance of abyss and exited on my own. That is when king realized my true goal and his mistake, because I had already evolved into a primordial dragon and became more formidable than he could imagine.

"I also don't want to do this but now I have the power and it is about time I settle the score with him, he don't deserve to sit on that throne." I said erasing that fake smile off my face.

"He was the reason why my father has to sacrifice his life and whole dragon realm has to be sealed." I said.

"From the day I was born, he and whole dragon realm has mistreated me, he killed anyone who got close to me, my friends, my godfather and his family there is no one who I can name my family in this world other than you and you are still alive till now because you are his daughter." I spoke the truth and finally after the long time confronted her.

"If not for the Soul contract between royal family and guardian family he would have killed me ages ago, it is only because I am of use to him, that he has restrained himself and kept me alive because without me, he can't unseal the dragon realm."

"You know he took everything away from me, I have been alone my whole life, until you came into my life." I said looking into her eyes, so she could see the truth behind my excuses.

"Please forgive me, but I can't stop now." I said bowing a little holding her hands in my hand in front of Eva, but she held my shoulders and hugged me and I could hear the faint sound of sniff sniff from her side.

I know that nobody in the Dragon realm understand my situation better than her, so she consoled me and after some deep breath I finally calmed down.

"And what will happen after you have unsealed the seal, there will be bloodbath between you and father, I don't want to lose both of you." She said in a depressed tone.

I can understand why she was feeling that way, even if the king has treated everyone else as trash, he loved his daughter more than anything else in the world, even I can't believe that he has this side to him.

"I can't guarantee what will happen, but I am feeling generous today, so I will try not to kill him, I will just make him cripple and you can ascend the throne I will be your knight in shining armor." We both giggled but both us knew this talk will take us nowhere.

"I am not worried about king, but for you, he is the king of dragons the strongest dragon in our history, ruling over us for more than one and a half million years." She said hesitantly.

"And this time all 9 leaders and another guardian will be with him, I don't have to remind you of their power." She said and I agreed they definitely will be nuisance to deal with, but I am not an idiot to not take this possibility into account.

"Well I think we have come quite far away from the topic, I wanted to talk to you about, it is not the right place to discuss the raid strategy is it?" I said shutting these bothersome topics for good.

"Okay, just come back alive, I will be waiting for you." She said with a faint blush on her face which made her more beautiful.

"That is better." I took her hand and teleported her with me away from the Grand castle to the most beautiful place I know of and the place where nobody would bother us.

It was a special night today where all three Moons encircling the planet could be seen in line, it is said to be the most beautiful night in our realm which comes once every decade.

We arrived at sandy beach where moon light shone above the sea waves, birds flying above the horizon, and dolphins sang songs in joy going in and out of water, it was not our first time coming here so Eva was not much surprised, she just took the seat I have already prepared for her and motioned me to sit near her, which I happily obliged.

"So what do you want to talk about?" Eva asked relaxing her expression a little bit.

And thus i stayed at the beach whole night with Eva talking about some past memories and our future, considering our Bodies and unlimited stamina; we didn't need much sleep anyway.

When sun was about to shine, we once again returned back to garden where the maid Jennie was waiting for us, there was still half a day left for our departure so I don't know why Jennie was in hurry to take Eva away but the king wanted to talk to her before we depart for raid, and so we parted ways.
