Chapter 456 One Less Secret

Aline finds Reginaldo exercising in the gym. She notices how her boyfriend is frowning, not because of the dumbbells and the reps, but because of the conversation she had with Anestor.

She takes a deep breath and decides before things get worse.

“Honey, I want to talk to you about something that will make you stop loving me.”

Reginaldo lets the dumbbell fall anyway, almost hitting his foot, “I’ll never stop loving you.”

Aline ducks her head, “Yes, you will, after I detonate this bomb.”

Reginaldo sits down on a bench, takes a washcloth, and wipes the sweat from his forehead. Aline drools with the biceps that bulge with the repetitions, but she shakes her head and concentrates.

“Reggie, I want to tell you right before Anestor comes along and gossips, twisting everything.” Aline begins, “Or worse, I want to tell you before he decides to blackmail or threaten me.”
