A sharp pain shot through Julius' forehead.

“Argh”

He grabbed his head as the pain came out of nowhere, just like needless piercing his skull, blurring his vision.

“What is happening?” He clenched his teeth as the strange pain only grew stronger. His forehead felt hot, almost like it was burning and something beneath his skin came alive.

A faint golden glow leaked through his fingers, widening his eyes.

He felt like screaming as the excruciating pain became intense but his voice was seized and he couldn't voice out.

As he had been abandoned, nobody noticed what was happening to him. Every other student focused on Deen Carl.

Julius quickly lowered his head, his heartbeat accelerated.

Glow?

Was he imagining things? Just like that, the pain vanished. He touched his forehead, his temperature had gone back to normal and the glowing gas vanished but yet, something felt different, as if something had awakened.

He raised his head up to focus on what Deen Carl was saying.

There is more to the Titans invasion. We believe there is something they were looking for”

“Something? Like they are searching for something?” A boy asked.

“Exactly “

“What could it be?” Another student asked.

“We ain't sure but there was a record of it happening in the past. There was. War between the humans and the Titans a long time ago. It was brutal until the human finally found a way out. We believe the Titans were killed but were sealed, now they are back and all the military schools have to prepare to face them, “ Deen Carl explained.

“As I have said earlier…” Deen Carl began but stopped when they began to hear some strange steps.

“GBIM, GBIM, GBIM “

The sound was getting clearer and nearer.

They all fixed their gaze at the door, awaiting what was coming.

Suddenly, there was a loud bang from the door and a Gigantic Shadow followed.

Students screamed, scholars ran back and Deen Carl was dumbfounded.

Their nightmare has come to pass. Their night tales have finally arrived as a Titan smiled at them.

“W-wh-what is happening?” Dean Carl stuttered which was followed by screams from the students.

Deen Carl also shouted. The grand hall was filled with fears and one could see the confusion written all over their faces.

"Everyone remain calm!" Deen Carl shouted again seeing the chaos that was happening but unfortunately, nobody listened. Panic has spread through the hall.

Students rushed to the exits while other froze, through the shock.

Julius stood up. His heart was hammered.

“Titan here? How? They were said to be at the Northern gate which was far from the Academy, how come one is here?”

Then another tremor shook the academy.

“GBIM”

A distant roar echoed across the kingdom.

The sound was unlike anything Julius had ever heard. It sounded deep and ancient.

The roar alone made countless students collapse in fear.

Julius slowly turned towards the nearest window and saw it. The gigantic creature was far beyond the Academy. He stood above the forest. He was enormous.

That's when reality set in. What they have thought was the creature was actually a shadow. The creature was still on the mountain.

It was about fifty meters tall or maybe more. The golden eyes, the dark skin covered in glowing patterns.

The Titan slowly turned its head, looking directly towards the Academy. His eyes met with Julius, who was staring at him. The world seemed to stop at that moment

The Mark on his forehead suddenly

exploded with golden light. Pain shot through his body, making his vision go white.

A strange voice echoed

inside his mind “You add finally Awakened” then the darkness took over.

  • The House they Forget

Julius had never seen Kael look afraid of a place. He had seen him face gods without blinking. He had watched him walk through dimensions that were collapsing around him. He had even seen Kael stand before beings older than civilizations and speak to them as though they were ordinary men.But as Julius led everyone through the remains of the Forgotten City, Kael kept looking at the sky, not at the broken worlds, not at the fading cracks in reality at home or what was supposed to be home. The city appeared exactly as they had left it.The old towers stood beneath the evening sky, the distant mountains were still visible beyond the trees, the wind moved gently through the streets, carrying the familiar smell of earth and rain. Nothing was burning, nothing was attacking them and there was no army waiting yet Julius felt something wrong. He stopped walking. Noah, who had been holding his hand, looked up at him and called, “Father?”Julius didn't answer immediately as his eyes moved across

  • The Hollow King

The voice that came from the enormous shadow sounded like Julius, but the creature itself looked nothing like him.As it emerged from the space between the collapsing worlds, its shape became clearer. It had a tall, almost human body covered in pale armor that seemed to have grown rather than been forged. Its head was smooth and featureless except for a narrow silver line where a mouth should have been. There were no eyes, yet Julius could feel its attention moving across everyone, it did not radiate overwhelming power and that was what made Julius cautious. The ancient beings they had fought before had always announced themselves through immense pressure. This thing did the opposite. Its presence felt empty, as though something had removed a piece of reality wherever it stood.Cael whispered, “That's a Hollow”Kael looked at him sharply, “No, Hollows were only theoretical”“What is a Hollow?” Julius asked.Cael didn't take his eyes off the creature, “Something that exists without belo

  • The World that Followed them Home

The portal closed behind Julius, leaving the ruined Forgotten City strangely quiet. For several seconds, nobody moved. They had spent so long fighting inside the First World that returning to familiar air, familiar ground, and an ordinary sky felt almost unnatural. Noah was the first to react as he stepped away from Julius, looked around the ruins, then turned back with a small smile, “We're really home”Julius smiled and placed a hand on his head, “Yes, We're home”The relief lasted only a moment. Gabriel suddenly dropped to one knee and Adrian caught him before he fell completely, “Easy”Gabriel tried to wave him away, saying “I'm fine”“You almost died in there,” Adrian replied “You don't get to decide you're fine” Gabriel managed a weak smile, but Julius could see the exhaustion in his face. The wound that had nearly erased his existence was gone, yet the damage had clearly taken something from him. Adrian stayed beside him without saying anything else.Dark Julius was in no bette

  • The Last Enemy

Julius stood between his family and the thing that had emerged from the broken First World, even Cael, who had spent centuries fearing the ancient presence beneath this world, seemed unable to find the words to describe what they were facing. The creature did not have a fixed form. Its body constantly shifted between light, shadow, flesh, and something that looked like empty space. Whenever Julius tried to focus on it, his perception changed, as though reality itself couldn't decide what the being was supposed to look like.Kael finally spoke, “It should not exist”Julius kept his eyes on the creature, “You've said that before”“This is different” Kael's voice was unusually tense “This isn't another ancient being. It isn't a god, consciousness, or ruler. It's what existed before those concepts had meaning”The creature looked toward Kael, “You remember”Kael's face tightened, “I remember enough”The being then looked at Julius, “And you are the mistake that survived”Noah moved closer

  • The Final Door

The laughter from beneath the First World stopped, then the ground split open. Julius didn't wait for whatever was coming to reveal itself. He immediately gathered Noah, Adrian, Gabriel, Dark Julius, Cael, and Kael within his power and pulled them away from the collapsing section of the First World. They landed on a distant platform just as the land behind them disappeared into the abyss.Cael stared at the destruction, “She wants us below”Julius nodded, “I know”Kael looked at him, “And that's exactly what she wants”“Then we'll give her what she wants” Julius replied Kael frowned, “Julius…”“But we'll decide how it ends” Before anyone could argue, the First Consciousness appeared. She didn't arrive through a portal and simply stood among them. Her eyes moved from Julius to Cael, “You finally brought him back”Cael stepped forward, “You used me”“I preserved you” “You destroyed me” Cael insisted “I gave you another purpose” Kael muttered Cael's expression hardened, “You took my

  • Beneath the Ground

Julius stood at the edge of the enormous opening that had appeared beneath the First World. The darkness below did not look like an ordinary abyss. There was no visible bottom, and yet Julius could sense something waiting far beneath them, something so old that even the laws surrounding the First World seemed to bend around its presence. Behind him, the others were still recovering from the attack.Gabriel had regained enough strength to stand, although Adrian refused to let him move without support. Dark Julius had managed to close most of the wound in his abdomen, but the injury had taken more from him than he wanted anyone to know. Cael was watching the abyss with an expression Julius had never seen on his face before which was the Fear of Recognition.Julius turned toward him, “You know what's down there”Cael remained silent for a moment before answering, “I know what I remember”“Then tell me” Julius asked Cael looked at Kael, that single glance told Julius more than the words
