A sharp pain shot through Julius' forehead.
“Argh”
He grabbed his head as the pain came out of nowhere, just like needless piercing his skull, blurring his vision.
“What is happening?” He clenched his teeth as the strange pain only grew stronger. His forehead felt hot, almost like it was burning and something beneath his skin came alive.
A faint golden glow leaked through his fingers, widening his eyes.
He felt like screaming as the excruciating pain became intense but his voice was seized and he couldn't voice out.
As he had been abandoned, nobody noticed what was happening to him. Every other student focused on Deen Carl.
Julius quickly lowered his head, his heartbeat accelerated.
Glow?
Was he imagining things? Just like that, the pain vanished. He touched his forehead, his temperature had gone back to normal and the glowing gas vanished but yet, something felt different, as if something had awakened.
He raised his head up to focus on what Deen Carl was saying.
There is more to the Titans invasion. We believe there is something they were looking for”
“Something? Like they are searching for something?” A boy asked.
“Exactly “
“What could it be?” Another student asked.
“We ain't sure but there was a record of it happening in the past. There was. War between the humans and the Titans a long time ago. It was brutal until the human finally found a way out. We believe the Titans were killed but were sealed, now they are back and all the military schools have to prepare to face them, “ Deen Carl explained.
“As I have said earlier…” Deen Carl began but stopped when they began to hear some strange steps.
“GBIM, GBIM, GBIM “
The sound was getting clearer and nearer.
They all fixed their gaze at the door, awaiting what was coming.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang from the door and a Gigantic Shadow followed.
Students screamed, scholars ran back and Deen Carl was dumbfounded.
Their nightmare has come to pass. Their night tales have finally arrived as a Titan smiled at them.
“W-wh-what is happening?” Dean Carl stuttered which was followed by screams from the students.
Deen Carl also shouted. The grand hall was filled with fears and one could see the confusion written all over their faces.
"Everyone remain calm!" Deen Carl shouted again seeing the chaos that was happening but unfortunately, nobody listened. Panic has spread through the hall.
Students rushed to the exits while other froze, through the shock.
Julius stood up. His heart was hammered.
“Titan here? How? They were said to be at the Northern gate which was far from the Academy, how come one is here?”
Then another tremor shook the academy.
“GBIM”
A distant roar echoed across the kingdom.
The sound was unlike anything Julius had ever heard. It sounded deep and ancient.
The roar alone made countless students collapse in fear.
Julius slowly turned towards the nearest window and saw it. The gigantic creature was far beyond the Academy. He stood above the forest. He was enormous.
That's when reality set in. What they have thought was the creature was actually a shadow. The creature was still on the mountain.
It was about fifty meters tall or maybe more. The golden eyes, the dark skin covered in glowing patterns.
The Titan slowly turned its head, looking directly towards the Academy. His eyes met with Julius, who was staring at him. The world seemed to stop at that moment
The Mark on his forehead suddenly
exploded with golden light. Pain shot through his body, making his vision go white.
A strange voice echoed
inside his mind “You add finally Awakened” then the darkness took over.

Their Mother
The moment Julius placed his foot upon the first step, the world changed. The Forest Beyond Time disappeared, the Silver Tree vanished even the stars themselves seemed to fade into nothingness. For a brief, terrifying moment, Julius felt as though he had ceased to exist. Then, he heard laughter which was soft and impossibly familiar. His eyes slowly opened, and sunlight greeted him.Not the silver light of the Forest Beyond Time nor the radiant glow of the Silver Tree, but ordinary sunlight.Blue skies stretched endlessly above him, while a gentle breeze carried the scent of flowers through the air.For several moments, Julius simply stared.“This is beautiful”He turned to find Aurelia standing beside him, equally stunned.Around them, the others had begun regaining their bearings.Marcus was lying face-down in a field of flowers“I would just like everyone to know that if this is the afterlife, I approve”“We're not dead” Caius replied“Oh, that's significantly less exciting”Julius
Timeline 37
They simply stood beneath the Silver Tree as the newest branch continued growing before their eyes.Timeline Thirty-Seven, a possibility that should not exist and a future that had never been written. For the first time in three million years, Fate looked genuinely lost“It shouldn't be possible” she repeated quietlyChronos slowly approached the newly formed branch, his hands trembling slightly“The Silver Tree cannot lie” His voice was barely above a whisper“If it has acknowledged a new timeline then reality has accepted a new future”Marcus immediately raised both hands “I'd just like everyone to acknowledge that I always believed in us”“No, you didn't” Aurelia replied“Fine, I believed in us intermittently”The significance of what had just happened was too great.Fate's gaze remained fixed upon the newest branch of the Silver Tree“I spent an eternity believing there were only two possible endings”“Then perhaps” Elias said softly, “you've been reading the wrong story”Those wo
The Third Choice
The question lingered beneath the Silver Tree long after Julius spoke“If you've seen all thirty-six timelines, and you know we'll make the same choice again, then why are you still asking us?”For the first time since her arrival, Fate remained completely speechless. The stars within her eyes flickered uncertainly. No one had ever asked her that, not in thirty-six timelines, not in three million years because everyone had always assumed Fate already knew the ending.Eventually, she answered“Because I was hoping”The confession stunned everyone into silence“Hoping?” Aurelia repeated softly.Fate slowly lowered her gaze.“Every timeline ends the same way, either reality dies or the two of you do”She gently touched the trunk of the Silver Tree“And every time, I am the one left behind to remember”Those words carried an unbearable loneliness and Marcus quietly looked away.It suddenly occurred to him that Fate had witnessed every timeline.Every sacrifice, every goodbye and every pro
The End
The weight of Fate's words lingered beneath the Silver Tree like an unspoken truth that had existed long before any of them were bornFor millions of years, everyone had believed the story was simple. Two ancient beings, one prophecy and an inevitable confrontationInstead, they had discovered something far crueler, there had never been a villain.Only people trying and failing to protect the things they loved.Julius looked toward Fate, for the first time, he no longer saw an untouchable force governing existence. He saw someone tired, someone who had spent an eternity watching the same tragedy repeat itselfThirty-six times and perhaps many more before that“You said we existed before time”His voice broke the silence surrounding the Silver Tree, Fate slowly nodded.“Yes”“Then tell us*The stars in her eyes dimmed slightly“Tell us who we were”The Silver Tree trembled and Its countless leaves began glowing, illuminating the endless forest surrounding them. For several moments, Fat
The One Who Wrote the End
The moment the voice echoed across existence, everything stopped, the stars ceased moving and the Silver Tree fell silent.Even the countless timelines flowing through its branches froze in place. For the first time since entering the Forest Beyond Time, Julius felt something he had never experienced before which was DearNot the fear of an enemy stronger than himself, nor the fear of death as this was something far greater. It was the overwhelming realization that something had been watching them since the beginningMarcus slowly looked around“I would just like to state, for the record, that I preferred fighting dragons”“Noted” Aurelia whisperedThe heavens above the Silver Tree continued splitting apart. Yet, there was no explosion or dramatic display of power.Instead, reality simply moved aside, making room for something that had existed before it.Julius expected a monster or perhaps an entity so vast that mortal minds couldn't comprehend its existence. What he saw instead caus
Meeting Elias
The journey through the Forest Beyond Time continued in silence. No one knew what to say after witnessing Timeline Thirty-Three.Three hundred years, three hundred years of peace, three hundred years of stolen happiness and in the end even fate had been unable to take away the one thing that truly mattered“I'd choose you again”Those words continued echoing in Julius's mind as he walked along the silver path. The forest itself seemed to understand the significance of what was about to happen. The further they traveled, the quieter everything became.Eventually, even Marcus stopped speaking. An event so rare that Chronos quietly remarked that it should probably be recorded somewhere in history.“I'm capable of being quiet” Marcus protested“No” Aurelia repliedHours passed, perhaps years and Time no longer seemed to function properly within the Forest Beyond TimeThe stars above shifted continuously, while memories drifted through the air like falling snowThen, without warning, Luna
