The single crisp bill fluttered onto the mahogany table, landing directly on top of the ruined merger agreement.

Silence descended on the boardroom, heavy and suffocating. The hum of the air conditioning unit thirty floors above the city sounded like a roar in the dead quiet.

Julian stared down at the hundred-dollar bill. His face went through a terrifying progression—from pale shock to deep crimson, and finally to a mottled, vein-popping purple. His hands trembled so violently that the gold Rolex on his wrist rattled against the polished wood.

"You... you bastard!" Julian shrieked, his voice cracking into a high-pitched hysterical screech. He lunged across the corner of the table, pulling back a clenched fist. "I’ll kill you! I’ll break your f—"

Before Julian’s fist could travel four inches, Caleb moved.

To everyone else in the room, it was a blur. Caleb’s hand shot out like a striking viper, his fingers locking around Julian’s wrist with the crushing force of a hydraulic press. The God-Tier Martial Mastery integrated into his nervous system dictated the movement effortlessly—zero wasted motion, absolute lethal precision.

Caleb didn't even shift his footing. He simply squeezed.

Crack.

"Aaaaghh! My wrist! Stop! Break it, he's breaking it!" Julian screamed, dropping to his knees on the hardwood floor as his body involuntarily followed the intense pressure on his joint. Tears exploded from his eyes, streaming down his flushed cheeks.

Chloe shrieked, backing away until her spine hit the floor-to-ceiling glass window, her hands slapped over her mouth in sheer horror. Arthur stumbled backward, knocking his executive chair over with a heavy thud.

"Security!" Arthur gasped, his voice trembling as he pointed a shaking finger at Caleb. "He’s assaulting a executive! Call the police! Arrest him!"

The two armed guards from Vanguard Legal stepped forward immediately, but they didn't touch Caleb. Instead, both officers drew their taser holsters, turning their bodies to block Arthur and Julian.

"Mr. Vance," the senior guard said calmly, looking at Arthur, "our instructions from the firm are absolute. Mr. Caleb Vance is the sole owner of this property. You are currently unauthorized individuals on private corporate grounds."

Caleb released Julian’s wrist. The playboy collapsed onto his side, clutching his swollen arm against his chest, sobbing hysterically like a child on the floor.

Caleb pulled a white silk handkerchief from his breast pocket, casually wiping his palm as if he had touched something dirty. He tossed the cloth into the wastebasket near the door and looked down at Arthur, who was standing frozen against the wall.

"You mentioned calling the police, Arthur?" Caleb asked, his voice disturbingly calm. "Please, do. While they’re on their way, we can discuss the five-million-dollar tax fraud case involving Vance Group's off-shore shell accounts. Mr. Sterling has the file ready for the District Attorney's office."

Arthur’s face drained of every drop of color. He clutched his chest, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. "Caleb... no. Please... we're family..."

"Family?" Caleb chuckled, a cold, humorless sound. "Twelve hours ago, you stood by while your wife poured scalding soup over my feet. You watched Julian throw fifty dollars at me like I was a dog. Where was the family then, Arthur?"

Arthur had no answer. He lowered his head, his shoulders slumping as the last bit of fight left his body.

Chloe stepped forward, her hands trembling as she reached out toward Caleb, her voice laced with a desperate, pleading sweetness that made Caleb's stomach turn.

"Caleb... baby..." Chloe stammered, tears brimming in her eyes. "You... you know I didn't mean any of those things last night! My mother forced me to sign those papers! Julian threatened my father's company! I was just trying to protect us! Please... look at me... I'm still your wife—"

"You signed the dissolution papers, Chloe," Caleb cut her off, his dark eyes fixing on her with a freezing gaze that made her step back in fright. "You made sure I left with nothing. No coat, no shelter, no money for my sister's medical care. You wanted a rich man who could buy your dream life in Capital City."

Caleb gestured to the sprawling, multi-million-dollar view of the city behind him.

"This is real wealth, Chloe," Caleb whispered. "And you traded it away for a fraud in a golden watch."

Chloe burst into heavy, uncontrollable sobs, sinking onto her knees beside the broken Julian Cole. The realization of what she had thrown away hit her like a physical sledgehammer, crushing her chest until she could barely breathe.

Mr. Sterling stepped forward, signaling to the guards. "Escort these individuals off the premises. Clear out Mr. Cole's personal desk and throw the contents into the alleyway dumpster."

"Yes, sir!"

The guards seized Julian under his armpits, dragging him kicking and screaming down the hallway, leaving a trail of tears on the carpet. Arthur walked out with his head bowed in complete defeat, while Chloe followed behind, weeping hysterically into her hands.

The heavy glass doors slammed shut behind them, restoring complete peace to the thirty-floor executive suite.

Mr. Sterling walked over to Caleb, handing him a digital pen and a tablet displaying the master executive control panel of the entire corporation.

"The board is cleared, Mr. Vance," Mr. Sterling said respectfully. "What are your immediate orders for Cole Logistics?"

Caleb looked out the floor-to-ceiling glass window at the foggy skyline.

"Rebrand the company," Caleb commanded, his voice sharp and resolute. "Effective immediately, rename it Vance Global Enterprises. Transfer fifty million dollars directly to St. Jude’s Medical Center to clear my sister's account and secure the best surgical team in the country."

"Understood, sir. And regarding the Vance Group's remaining debt?"

A cold, calculating smile spread across Caleb's face as he looked down at his phone screen.

"Freeze their credit lines by noon," Caleb said softly. "Let Arthur and Martha realize what true poverty feels like."

The deep-space ambient silence inside Aether-Zero’s upper command suite was heavy, thick, and almost physical. But no one in the command room was looking at Earth anymore.Every eye was locked on the central three-dimensional holographic tactical table.Floating in the center of the room, four billion miles away on the frozen outer fringes of the Kuiper Belt, was the newly awakened structure. It was a massive, fifty-kilometer-wide metallic ring, its surface covered in ancient, geometric runic grooves that glowed with a blinding, liquid-gold tachyon energy."Caleb..."
