Chapter Eighteen: The Danger in the Woods.

"No no no no no." He yelled as he was pushed back, he groaned in frustration and decided that he would not let one error stop him from freeing himself.

Below Alvin kept on moving the knife to and fro till he heard the snap of the ropes. He grinned happily not knowing the dangers that was about to befall them, before he could turned and announced the good news to Jake, he heard the rumbling of stones.

Jake who was about to take a second swing for the branch, stopped when he heard a loud rumbling, he focused his ear to hear better just as the rumbling became loud, he groaned in frustration. "Alvin what did you do?" He hollered in anger.

Alvin put the knife back into his pocket before looking up. " Nothing, I just cut a couple of ropes." He yelled back, his body trembling in fear.

"What do you mean by a couple of ropes?" Jake asked in shocked.

Alvin scratched his head. "About nine or ten." He mumbled loud enough for Jake to hear him.

"What?" Jake barked out, his eyes wide open.
