Soon they all headed out to the east, where they had promised Elion the castle would be. The entire journey was silent; all the men were dragging their injured selves forward, and then all of a sudden Brian spoke:

“What could have been the cause? Those things aren’t supposed to follow us… I thought we killed it.”“What do you expect… probably the one that attacked us could be another one that tracked us, maybe because of our injuries…” Derick sighed as he explained.

“This is a good sign that we are close to the Dark Temple…” Ziko smiled as he spoke.

Derick shot him a glare, a silent warning to keep his mouth shut, and it was as though they were hiding something from Elion.

Elion got confused. He heard what Ziko had said, and curiosity urged him to ask, “I thought we were heading to the castle.”

Derick stared at Elion over his shoulder as he replied, a grin spreading across his face:

“Of course we are heading to the Awakening Castle… don’t mind what Ziko said. Remember what I told you earlier—we are like guardians, helping awakeners reach the castle so they can awaken their core.”

Elion still felt something was off, but he didn’t react. He acted cool.

Soon they arrived at a deserted area. Everywhere was snowy, but this specific place felt dry, and within that perimeter no sign of snow could be seen, as though cursed. Ahead of them stood a building with towering pillars and a visible entrance.

The building looked like a temple, yet at the same time it felt forgotten.

Elion halted in his steps. He remembered what Sheldon had told him—the castle was supposed to be glowing, and what lay before him wasn’t a castle. Worst of all, it looked creepy.

“Are you sure this is the castle you told me about?”

Derick noticed Elion refusing to move forward, so he stopped and turned to him. “Why aren’t you believing what I’ve told you? I already said we are heading the right way.”

“This doesn’t seem like the right way… can’t you see? We are heading to a place that doesn’t even look like a castle,” Elion shot back angrily. Never would he get deceived by three foolish men.

Derick sighed and walked toward Elion, but Elion pulled out a knife he had secretly taken and pointed it at Derick. “Don’t come any closer to me. Step back.”

Earlier, Elion had made sure to stay on the safer side by stealing one of the knives from the men. He had done that from the moment they made camp in the cave.

Derick stopped and stepped back. “Don’t worry, I won’t force you to come with us. But at the same time, you know there is no other way to the castle. Look around—do you see any sign of a castle nearby?”

Derick then shook his head, disappointed, placing his hands on his forehead before continuing:

“The only way to the castle I told you about is by passing through this building.”

Brian pulled out a bottle from his back and drank water, then gasped before speaking. “Yes, loser… that’s the only way. You either come with us or die here—either freezing in the cold or getting eaten by one of those things.”

Derick moved a little closer, and Elion instinctively pushed the knife forward. “Stay back, you liars.”

“You saw what happened earlier, how two of my friends were devoured by those monsters. If you don’t want your fate to be like that, then come with us. I’m saying this again—there is no other way to the castle except passing through that temple,” Derick said calmly, pointing at the terrifying deserted temple in front of them.

Ziko stepped forward. “Derick, if the boy isn’t cooperating, we have no option but to drag him into the temple. We have no time to waste here. Those creatures will be here soon—don’t forget we’re drenched in blood, and they can smell it.”

Derick shot Ziko a glare, but then he sighed and shoved his hands into the air before giving the instruction:

“Drag the boy into the temple. We have to extract his core now. Kid, it looks like you want us to end this the hard way.”

It was at that moment Elion realized he had encountered something that would lead to his sudden death. Extracting his core meant death.

So I've been with the monsters all this while. Damn you bastards.

Elion gritted his teeth as the thought hit him hard.

He tightened his grip on the knife and pointed it at the two men approaching him, warning, “You bastards, get away from me, or I’ll kill you.”

Elion had never killed a human before, so his words were just blabbing—he was scared to the bone.

Both men laughed as though they didn’t give a fuck about what he had said.

“Don’t worry, we won’t get close to you. All we have to do is use our ability on you.”

“Don’t worry, the extraction pain doesn’t last long. All it takes is a sharp pain, and then everything ends.”

“Death… the only thing that will remain is death. Hehe.”

The men kept taunting him as they moved closer. Elion kept stepping back, and just as he was about to run, Brian raised his hand, and Elion felt his entire body suspended midair.

In the next moment, he saw his body floating, moving side by side with the two men until they entered the temple.

The men were also awakeners, and Brian’s attribute was levitation as well as gravitation magic.

They took Elion inside the temple and placed him on a concrete, square-carved altar fused with ancient encrypted writings.

The platform had handcuffs; when a victim was placed on it, the chains would restrain them until their core was extracted.

Elion's eyes rolled open, and to his surprise, he was seated on the rock he was seated on before meditating, and when he looked forward he saw the old man who had held his hands, now really smiling, "congratulations, boy, you have done a very great job. Never did I expect you are this strong to stand against him, it was so surprising that you didn't use any powers; what you have used to defeat him was just your will."The old man was just so amazed that he thought a thing like this wouldn't be possible, but Elion just proved him wrong. The truth was that Elion wasn't supposed to face his dark self, but somehow his dark self had gotten a way to draw him into his own dimensional mind, which means the white space with raging clouds was the mind of the dark self of Elion, and if his dark self had defeated him, Elion would have lost control, and his dark self would have taken control of his body at an early stage, and caused the havoc he had once wished for.Elion was staring in front of t

"Old man, is that you?" Elion tried to speak as he stood on his feet, he can't see the person that was standing some distance away from him that clear and he was confused. Thus he could clearly differentiate that the posture that the person doesn't look like the old man, the person from the distance so much looks like him."It's not the old man..." Elion paused on his steps, he turned around if he could see the old man but he couldn't and just then the person who was staying some distance away from him suddenly spoke, "there's no need to call him, because he can't hear you, all you have here is me and you, so you better accept that reality and face me."Elion instantly recalled the voice, it was indeed the same voice that had been torturing him all this while, and in every word that sounded, the dark clouds darkened even more and lightning crashed all around.Soon the face became much visible, and Elion saw it was indeed the other part of him. This part of him has dark eyes just the w

  • Beyond The Void

Elion took a deep breath, he had soon come to the relaxation, and he was seated on a rock. From his both sides was a stream flowing gently. The old man was at the other end of the agreement and Elion was in the middle, seated on the rock and watching for the man's next instruction."I want to ask one question..." Elion broke the silence, which he shouldn't.The old man nodded with a smile before replying, "Yes, sure, but be rest assured that you would have to restart the meditation.""What about my real body? I'm just curious, what will happen to my real body..." Elion asked."You don't have to get yourself worried about that," the old man said with a smile. He then gently struck his staff on the ground before continuing speaking, "The time here exists separately from the natural world. The place where you are at the moment is just in your head."Elion, hearing this from the old man, sighed in relief before asking again, "And secondly, I just want to confirm something. "You are a loser, a failure, and an abandoned kid that is meant to be the downfall of the last of humanity. Better pick your knife and do the needful to yourself before you doom us all."The voice echoed so loud, and in the next seconds, Elion's eyes shot open, and so he jolted up from the bed. His breath above usual, he was breathing heavily like he had run a marathon."What the hell.... Not that voice again.." Elion sighed as he sat upright from his bed. The voice in his head was the dark version of his self, and this had been on for over three days. He couldn't sleep smoothly as usual. Just then, when he shifted his gaze, he saw his shadow's back leaned against the wall, while flipping an apple on his hands."What the hell are you staring at..." Elion annoyingly asked, his brow furrowed. His shadow smirked before replying, "I'm just watching out on you.""What if someone gets in here and catches sight of you? Look at the way you are flipping an apple like you own the entire house.

  • Secret Of The Shadow Lap

Valaria won't blame Jax for thinking that way; in fact, even she had thought of what she had done not nearly to be possible, but then it happened, and that became like a miracle."Of course I claim my words by saying I'm their mother," Valaria chuckled after speaking. "You see, over the years I was able to research my DNA, and after getting some specific results, I captured some beasts from the shadow realm and tried to replicate their DNA. And after years of trying, I was finally successful, and that's how I scientifically created all those creatures you could see.""Wow, that's amazing. So you actually pushed out all those dudes from your vagina?" Jax got lost in his words again."What? You stupid pervert!" Valaria slapped Jax across his face. He fell on the floor and began to plead, "I'm sorry, I was just curious, that's why I asked."Valaria took in a deep breath, "Anyways, let's just forget about this certain conversation, but just know I didn't shoot them out from my vagina..."

It will be nice if you come and have a look.""Good timing," Valaria smiled, before shifting her gaze to Elsie and Jax, "Why not we all have a look, that is the exact reason I had brought you here.
