Elijah was brought to a casino with an underground entrance, and soon enough, he was below the main building, making steps down the dark staircase with the terrifying-looking gang members following closely behind him.

When they arrived at the main underground structure, two burly men roughly dragged a man past them.

He was screaming, but they only kicked him to remain quiet.

"Slick Sal, is that you? You returned early today" A deep manly voice came from the inner chambers of the underground.

Only when they got closer did the image of a middle-aged man in a wheelchair appear.

Behind him was a group of men in black carrying heavy firearms.

It was obvious that this man was not ordinary; he was a powerful figure in the Brooklyn Heights underground crime system.

"Boss, I brought you a guest. This man here claims to be the best doctor in the world and has a solution to any sickness at all, including yours." The leader of the group, who went by the name 'Slick Sal,' didn't hesitate to polish the matter in front of his boss.

The person in the wheelchair was known throughout the underground crime system as Jafari D-King, the man who, alongside his retired brothers in arms, had created and funded the Underground system of the country.

Mr. Jafari was the last standing among his brothers in arms and has since become a significant figure that even the police cannot touch.

There was nothing linking him to crimes and even if you managed to find one in the end, you might just sleep and not wake up.

Mr. Jafari struck the full beard on his face and said strangely, "I've had enough of nonsense today, I'll just lie down under the sun and soak in alcohol about it"

He spun his chair around to leave the room.

"Mr., you know that alcohol is bad for your legs, don't you feel sore at the soles of your feet whenever you take it?" Elijah had suddenly spoken, to the awe of the men in the room.

"How dare you say nonsense?" Slick Sal cursed and tried to take him to the ground.

"Stop!" Mr. Jafari suddenly spun his chair back around, "Don't touch that man"

He wheeled the chair closer, examining the composed look on Elijah's face.

How can this ordinary-looking man just describe what he always felt deeply?

Even his wife didn't know this truth.

He knew that alcohol had been bad for his legs but since no one knew about it, there was no reason to stop.

"Won't you have to check my legs first to know that?" Mr. Jafari was genuinely curious.

Elijah shook his head and said confidently, "I noticed the paleness around your feet and the sudden twitch when you mentioned alcohol.

My healing practice is not just about physical diagnosis but observing first"

"Don't make noise around the boss, can you heal his sickness or not?" Slick Sal touched the knife by his side and took a step forward in an intimidating manner.

Elijah fixated his eyes on the feet of the boss of the underground group and said casually, "Your Boss doesn't need healing, he's only pretending to be crippled"

Huh?

Everyone was dumbfounded at Elijah's audacity to call the great boss of the underground a con.

"Since you have asked to die quickly, I'll give it to you." Slick Sal was the first to unsheath his knife, and the others followed quickly.

He wanted this so-called doctor to make a fool of himself before teaching him a lesson, but now that he had insulted the boss, how could they stand and watch?

"It's the truth, you don't have to be violent" Elijah rubbed the side of his face casually as though the men around weren't preparing to kill him.

"You still have the mouth to talk, I'll take your tongue first" Slick Sal made to grab his face when the authoritative voice of their boss resounded,

"Touch him and you're dead, anyone..."

"Huh? Boss...?"The men in the room were confused.

Had the big boss finally gone soft?

Before anyone could even think of asking a question, Mr. Jafari took a step out of his wheelchair and his second foot followed suit.

"This young doctor is indeed the greatest in the world"

He pulled his entire body up and was now standing proudly in their line of sight.

How was this possible?

The boss was back on his feet.

For the first time in five years.

Together, they crossed the parking area and approached the main entrance.A broad-shouldered security officer stationed beside the glass doors noticed them almost immediately. His professional expression changed slightly as his eyes settled on Serena.“Ms. Serena DiLaurentis?”She slowed. “Yes.”The officer immediately stepped forward and opened the door.“The executives are expecting you upstairs, ma’am. The interview will be held in the main conference room. I’ll take you there.”Serena and Lisa exchanged a look.Lisa discreetly turned her wrist enough to check the time. Her brows rose because they were almost an hour early. She looked at Serena again, and this time Serena clearly understood what had surprised her.The executives were already waiting?Neither woman said anything as they followed the security officer into the lobby. The interior of TrustMed’s headquarters did little to make Serena feel more relaxed. Meanwhile, in Brooklyn Heights, far beyond Galecrest of East Sorevia...An Audi S8 rolled into the parking area of a towering corporate building along one of the busiest commercial streets in the South District before coming to a stop.Serena DiLaurentis stepped out from the driver's seat with Secretary Lisa following from the opposite side, and both women instinctively raised their heads towards the structure before them.TrustMed Pharmaceuticals. The newly established company had chosen its headquarters well. The high-rise stood prominently among the surrounding corporate buildings, with a modern glass exterior and an architectural design. For a company that had only formally announced its presence in Brooklyn Heights days earlier, everything about the headquarters suggested that TrustMed had been preparing for this moment long before the public ever heard its name.Serena stared at the building for several seconds before tightening her grip around the purse at her side.“Lisa, thi

Before Elijah could process the answer, Mother swung her arm and sent him flying through the mountain opening with almost insulting ease. His body struck the steep passage beyond it and immediately slid down the rocky slope. He twisted several times along the way, using one arm to protect himself while refusing to release the wooden staff from the other.By the time he finally reached the bottom, pain had spread through half his body.“Mister Elijah!” Iris hurried towards him and caught his arm before he could collapse completely.Elijah leaned against both her and the staff as she helped him onto his good leg. He raised his head to examine where Mother had thrown him through. The others had already gathered inside what appeared to be a natural cavern. Before them, the passage climbed steeply towards the opening above, with a rough stairway carved directly into the rock and disappearing all the way back towards the basin above.<

Lucius halted in midair and slowly turned towards the mountain entrance.“Hmph! If Master Nightbane is supposed to represent the standard of your Order, then there is even less to admire.” Elijah didn't stop.Something in Lucius’s expression shifted at the mention of that name, but Elijah continued before he could respond.“To think he went so far as to establish a personal sect of his own while serving as a high-ranking member of the Hall. What did he call it again?”A mocking smile tugged at Elijah’s lips. “The Venom Scripture.”By then, Lucius had turned completely towards him.“And after all that, he still ended up playing fetch dog for the Lancasters.”“What did you just say?” The question came quietly, but the danger behind it was unmistakable. From that reaction alone, Elijah knew he had spoken of something that was never meant to become public information. His smile only widened. “I’m saying Nig

“Mother…” several disciples called almost together.Rowan tightened her grip around what remained of her damaged sword and stepped forward.“My Sisters and I can remain with you. If we combine our strength, we can help you put this Grandmaster in his place.”Mother gave a slight shake of her head. “Have you forgotten everything I taught you about height?”Rowan had no answer.“The difference between realms. If you remain here, I will spend more effort protecting you than fighting him.”The firmness in her words left no room for further argument.Without turning around, Mother called, “Elijah.”His attention immediately focused on her.“I am trusting you to lead them through whatever lies beyond that entrance. If you do not find what you seek inside, my promise to you remains unchanged.”Elijah stared at her back without responding.“Rowan.”The eldest senior sister straightene

Several of the younger disciples limped away from the rocks they had crashed into, with cuts along their faces and arms from flying debris. The senior sisters had endured the blast better, although none had escaped untouched. Evelyn wiped blood from the corner of her mouth as she forced herself upright, while Sade supported another senior whose ankle had twisted badly during the fall.Their injuries would have looked severe on ordinary people, but none were immediately life-threatening to trained practitioners.Rowan eventually emerged from where she had crashed farther along the mountain, with blood covering much of her clothing. Even in that condition, she forced herself towards the others until the entire group gathered near the centre of the basin and turned their attention towards the sky.Elijah watched the battle with a complicated expression. He had seen Grandmasters exchange blows before, but those encounters wasn't the
