They looked at Jeremiah and gulped as sweat covered their entire face and neck while their bodies trembled in fear.

They remembered all the insulting remarks they had made to him and also going as far as laying their hands on him and trying to beat him up.

What a massive disaster this was.

“What do you want me to do with these two, sir?” Anthony asked Jeremiah.

The hearts of the two security guards started pounding in their chests as they realized that their fate was in Jeremiah’s hands.

Same Jeremiah who they had just immensely wronged.

Suddenly, they both went on their knees and groveled at Jeremiah’s feet.

“Hey, look at what’s going on there!”

“Why are those security guards bowing to that one guy like that?”

“Who do you think he is? Maybe someone very important?”

The bystanders stopped what they were doing and watched what was happening where Jeremiah was.

“I am terribly sorry for laying my hands on you, sir. I didn’t know who you were and had been convinced that you were a beggar” the second security guard said hurriedly.

“Please, sir, forget the mistake that just happened and we’ll forever be grateful to you” the first bodyguard begged.

They looked up and saw the cold gaze in Jeremiah’s eyes.

“You two want forgiveness, huh?” Jeremiah asked coldly.

“Yes sir. We didn’t know we were messing with the owner of the bank. This is all Mister Ludwig’s fault for telling us that you were a beggar” the first security guard said, trying to shift the blame to Paul.

Yes, Paul had lied that Jeremiah was a beggar, but that didn’t excuse their behavior afterward.

Also, Jeremiah had told them that his family owned the bank but they refused to believe so what could they possibly hope to say that would cover up for that?

“Alright, I’ve heard you,” Jeremiah said, and instantly, both security guards became relieved.

They sighed in relief.

“Thank you very much, sir. You don’t know how—“ the first security guard said but Jeremiah cut him off.

With a condescending grin, Jeremiah said “Unfortunately, I’m not charitable enough to forgive two people so you will have to decide who gets to receive my mercy”

The eyes of both security guards widened.

“Sir?” The second security guard asked.

“Did I stutter? Pick who, between the two of you, gets the receive my pardon. You have ten seconds to do so and if you can’t then get ready to both be fired” Jeremiah declared and both security guards blinked rapidly.

“But, sir, how can we decide such a thing? Can’t you please pardon the both of us just this once? We both have families to look out for and getting a job these days is really hard.” The first security guard pleaded.

Jeremiah, who could care less for his words, stuffed his hands into his pockets and said “Five seconds remaining”

“Sir, please! This is so unfair—“ the first security guard said but was cut off by a heavy punch to the face that caused him to fall over.

Jeremiah and Anthony looked to the side and saw that it was the second security guard who had punched his partner.

They were shocked because they didn’t expect things to get violent so quickly.

“Hey, Melvin, what are you—?” The first security guard asked but Melvin, the second security guard, climbed his body and used his knees to pin his hands in place.

“Sorry, Owen, but I can’t lose this job,” Melvin said then punched Owen one more time to make him too disoriented to fight back then he put his hands on his neck and started choking him out.

Because it was a reflex to want to survive when being choked, Owen’s body jerked. His legs kicked and his hands wanted to move to get his attack away but that was why Melvin knelt on them in the first place.

After a couple of seconds, Owen passed out and Melvin stopped.

He didn’t want to do it but he had to.

Melvin got off Owen’s body and sighed before standing and facing Jeremiah and Anthony.

“It looks like the decision has been made. You’ll show mercy to one of us, right? Well, I’m the one left” Melvin said.

“Twenty seconds,” Jeremiah said and Melvin grimaced in confusion.

“What?”

“Twenty seconds. That was what the two of you used to give me an answer, even though it wasn’t some in the way I was expecting, but, it doesn’t matter. The deal was for ten seconds and you, my friend are ten seconds too late” Jeremiah said and Melvin’s eyes widened.

“B-but, that doesn’t matter, does it?! How was I supposed to knock him out within such a short amount of time?” Melvin said desperately.

Jeremiah scoffed.

“That’s the point. I was never going to let any of you remain employed in my company.” Jeremiah revealed and saw Melvin’s eyes widen.

“What? Did you think I’d forgive you after laying your hands on me and calling me names?” Jeremiah asked as he looked straight into Melvin’s trembling eyes.

Between the two security guards, Melvin had done the most to annoy and disrespect Jeremiah. After all, he was the one who became physical by grabbing his collar and he had also been the one who wanted to punch Jeremiah in the face, which he would have done if Anthony hadn’t stepped in.

There was no way Jeremiah was going to forgive him even if Owen had decided that he wanted Melvin to stay while he got fired.

Another thing that made Jeremiah unsympathetic towards Melvin was the sight of what he did to his partner. It was very disgusting and Jeremiah had no use for someone who could do something like that.

Jeremiah looked at Anthony and said “Draft out their termination letters and hand them their severance check. I don’t want these two being affiliated with this bank any longer”

“As you wish, sir” Anthony bowed his head.

Jeremiah looked at Melvin, who became hopeless and empty.

Not only did he just lose his job but his friend whom he knocked out to save the very job was not going to forgive him after that.

He was finished.

Jeremiah rolled his eyes and started leaving, heading to the bank and Anthony followed.

Finally, Jeremiah walked into the bank and he did a quick scan around.

He saw Paul and Mary sitting in the customer service area like royalty and he frowned.

“Sir, this way,” Anthony said when he saw Jeremiah not moving.

“Anthony” Jeremiah said and the manager raised a brow.

“Yes, sir?” Anthony asked.

“You see that guy over there?” Jeremiah asked, using his chin to point at Paul.

“Who? You mean the guy in the white suit?” Anthony asked.

“Yes, him. I want you to freeze his account and don’t reactivate until I tell you to” Jeremiah instructed.

“Understood, sir. I’ll have one of the bankers do that right away” Anthony said and Jeremiah smirked as Anthony left to go carry out his task.

“Let’s see how confident you are when your money is gone,” Jeremiah said to himself while looking at Paul then after a couple of seconds, Anthony returned.

“The job is done, sir. Can we go to my office now?”

“Of course. Let’s go” Jeremiah replied and both of them left.

One week later, Jeremiah leaned back against a cherry-red and gold Bugatti Veyron, the glint of the city lights dancing along its sleek curves. His tailored obsidian suit clung perfectly to his frame, his silver tie fluttering slightly in the evening breeze. The engine purred beneath the hood like a beast waiting to be unleashed. He glanced at the time on his wristwatch, a sly smile creeping across his face as the apartment door opened. He looked up.And there she was.Victoria emerged in a stunning midnight-blue dress that shimmered with every step. Her curls bounced as she descended the stairs, and Jeremiah couldn’t help but admire the moment like it was a scene from a movie.“Hurry up, we’re going to be late,” he said, a playful edge in his voice.“I’m coming!” she replied, hurrying her pace before she reached him—and planted a kiss on his lips that made the world pause for a second.“When’s he popping the question again?” she asked, at the same time telling him that maybe he was r

“The Leader?” Jeremiah asked with a grimace, the name tasting like ash on his tongue.“That’s right,” the being declared, his voice echoing like a god’s judgment through the twisted air. “I *am* the Leader—and this is my dimension. Here, I rule as supreme.”Jeremiah’s eyes narrowed. “And that name you called me—Bazar’q Omàrin? Why?”The Leader tilted his head slightly, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. “Because that is your name. Not this watered-down nonsense—Crimson, Jeremiah—names handed to you by humans who never knew your truth. You were Bazar’q Omàrin, once the high sovereign of the mighty Oxyl Dimension... until it all turned to ash.”Jeremiah’s fists clenched as a dull pain throbbed in his temples. “And how do you know that? How do you know *me*?”The Leader's grin stretched, eyes flickering with malevolence. “Because, you banished me to hell!”With that roar of hatred, he surged forward in a blur, his fist crashing into Jeremiah’s ribs with the force of a meteor. The impact

‘Where is he? The one who started all of this?’ Jeremiah’s thoughts were a storm as he tore through the sky in a vicious, high-speed duel against the nine-winged skeletal wyvern. His golden eyes flicked through the blood-red horizon, desperate to catch even a glimpse of Grey Lucian. Since the chaos began, Grey had vanished—eerily absent. The longer Jeremiah failed to find him, the more unease spread like rot in his gut.But the demonic wyvern wasn’t giving him the luxury of distraction.Every flap of the beast’s bony, mana-wrought wings whipped up cyclones of cursed wind. Each strike came fast, lethal, and relentless. Dodging them required all of Jeremiah’s focus—there was no room for error, no space to think about Grey, or even the cultists scattered across the battlefield, who were clearly summoning something catastrophic. The thick, malevolent mana surging from their positions felt like an omen of ruin. For just one heartbeat, Jeremiah’s mind slipped—and it was one too many. The w

The battlefield plunged into eerie silence. Even the screaming winds beneath the dome seemed to hold their breath. Jeremiah stood at the center of it all, his dragonoid form casting a monumental silhouette against the warped sky. His scales shimmered with hues of black, red, and gold, glowing like molten metal in the dome’s unnatural twilight. Wings unfurled behind him like the banners of a god of war, stretching high and wide, stirring the air with every twitch. Mages, scattered across the estate in strategic lines, froze. The resurrection magic that had reanimated their fallen held no expression, no breath—just cold bodies awaiting orders. All of them stared at him, at the beast who had tanked a god-killing spell and still stood. Jeremiah’s molten eyes locked onto the mages who had conjured the lightning-fire hybrid spell. There was no mercy in his gaze. Only retribution. He leapt forward. The impact of his takeoff split the ground behind him, sending fragments of earth sky

  • CHAPTER 331

The sky darkened unnaturally, casting an eerie twilight over the estate. Jeremiah looked up as the last arc of shadow joined with the rest, sealing them inside a massive black dome. It shimmered with power, humming low like a monstrous heartbeat. The siege had begun. He turned to Lynette. “It’s begun.”“Yes,” she said quietly, eyes locked on the sky. “It has.”Jeremiah glanced down at the box in his hand. Obadiah’s head, expression frozen in death, stared back at him. The man had been a teacher, a guide, a rock of wisdom. And now he was gone. Murdered.“I’m sorry this happened to you, teacher,” Jeremiah murmured, his voice a low promise. “But on your behalf, I’ll make those fuckers pay.”With grim reverence, he set the box down. Then he and Lynette walked toward the convoy, where confusion had begun to blossom into panic.A chorus of murmurs rose as everyone saw the sky had changed. The dome wasn’t just a covering — it was alive. Pulsing. Feeding something.“What the hell is this?” th

[“How? The gate is—“] the driver of the first car asked but went silent to his surprise the gate suddenly opened. [“But how?!”] the driver asked in a panic.Jeremiah had used wordless magic to unlock and open the gate.[“Don’t worry about it and just keep driving”] Steven interjected, stopping the driver beside him from thinking too much into what happened.Because this security detail was provided by the city of Bakers View and not of the Garrick Royal estate, they didn’t know about Jeremiah’s real identity as Lord Crimson or that magic existed. That was why Steven stopped the driver beside him from asking questions and just moved things along. [“Okay, Captain”] the driver reluctantly said and then hit the gas, leading the cars into the estate. All the while, the third car which hadn’t been connected through the channel didn’t know what was really going on. Second after second, the cars got closer to Jeremiah’s house and when they got there everything looked perfectly fine, surpr
