Kevin put a blue suit on and combed his hair. He seemed a bit sad that he was alone in the mirror.
He wished that his wife was standing right next to him.
Exhaling audibly, Kevin came out of his room and saw that all of his wife’s family members were sitting at the dining table, gobbling up the breakfast menu.
He was about to take the seat next to his beautiful blonde wife, Cecilia, but a sudden loud noise nearly cracked his eardrums.
“KEVIN! Why is there a damn cockroach in my bathroom?” Brielle, his mother-in-law, who had the biggest mouth in the world, yelled ever so casually.
“How would I know, Aunt?” he replied, sitting down and showering a smile at his wife. Her ocean-blue eyes made him want to keep looking at her.
“Don’t call me Aunt, and don’t smile at my daughter!” Brielle growled. “Don’t forget the deal we made. Until you fulfill your end of the deal by bringing profits to that company you’re entrusted with, you can’t have Cecilia. Now, if I find the cockroach later in my bathroom, I’m going to give you negative points.”
Kevin frowned.
Every negative point meant that he’d be burned with more menial tasks.
“I will be right back,” Kevin got up and went upstairs to clean the bathroom which he had already cleaned just the previous night.
“Mom,” Cecilia looked at her mother who had a long face. “You gave Kevin the worst company we owned. And how do you expect him to bring profits when you don’t give him any support?”
“Hmph, if it wasn’t for the stupid promise your grandparents made, I would have never agreed to your marriage with that loser!” Brielle barked.
“He’s not a loser, Mom,” Cecilia replied politely. “His father was the one who lost all the money and didn’t even let his son have the inheritance."
“He left his son to us and ran away to some third-world country. If he dares show himself before me, I’ll shove his face in the toilet for good!” Brielle looked at her only daughter. “I think it’s time you move on. Divorce Kevin and marry someone suitable for your range and class.”
Cecilia pursed her lips together, clearly not happy with what her mother was suggesting.
“You should listen to Mom,” Cecilia’s brothers voiced their opinions. “She knows the best.”
Kevin’s father was a multi-millionaire, but because of his partners betraying him, he lost all of his wealth and incurred debt. But this happened exactly on the day of the marriage.
Kevin’s father ran away, and the money lenders came to Kevin.
Brielle and others told him to not give them any money, but Kevin told Brielle, “I will work hard and earn more money.”
Kevin ended up giving away the 43 million dollars he received as inheritance.
In doing so, Kevin earned a good name in the city circle, which stopped his father from getting an international bounty put on his head in the underworld, but it had the exact opposite effect on O’Brian’s family.
Other than Cecilia, everyone else hated him for his decision of giving away all of his money for the mistakes his father made.
Brielle, on that wedding night, told Kevin that he and Cecilia should live in separate rooms until Kevin proved himself by earning more than 43 million dollars.
However, Brielle made him the CEO of a toilet product manufacturing company, Serenity, which was a subsidiary of O’Brian Group.
The revenue of Serenity when Kevin took over was just above 500,000 dollars. It was at its lowest.
After a year and half, it increased to one million, but it’s still very far from the 43 million mark. With nobody in O’Brian family allowed to support Kevin, it might be impossible to reach that mark unless a miracle were to happen.
Meanwhile, Kevin was in the bathroom attached to Brielle’s bedroom. He closed the windows and everything and sat there, waiting for the cockroach to come out, assuming there was one.
Kevin looked upset, but then his mobile rang.
It was a message from Cecilia. She sent him an emoji of a flying kiss.
Kevin exhaled and smiled. She was the only one in the O’Brian family who secretly supported him.
He opened her profile and kissed her photo.
Just then, a cockroach flew over and landed on his nose. “AHH!” He ended up tossing the mobile into the air.
It flew and fell into the toilet bowl.
“Shit!” Kevin immediately put his hand into the bowl without hesitation and grabbed the mobile.
BBZZZZ~~!!
A strong surge of electricity coursed through his body. He got jolted backward. The mobile was in his hand, discharging visible electric charge.
A message briefly displayed on the screen, ‘Showman System: Shit Model Activated…’ before the screen went blank.

After the meeting concluded, it was decided that all nine members of Little Garden would be working together to get rid of Kevin. As a result, Jack couldn’t leave even though he wanted to.“After we kill him, who will get his system?” one of the members asked curiously.“I want that system,” Jack quickly said. But nobody supported him.“If it’s a crazy system, then Herald is the right person to have it.”“Yeah. I agree with that, too.”Everybody except for Jack supported Herald.Jack did not support their decision and remained silent even when their gazes weighed down on his shoulders.Because Jack was closer to the 300 Thorns than they were, none of them actively provoked him, either. One of them, a blonde guy named Renshaw, made a phone call and talked with someone, and he was surprised by what he heard.“What’s wrong?” the others asked him.Renshaw looked at Herald. “I asked about Kevin’s whereabouts. They said he’s entered Crowhold just now.”“What?” Everybody was surprised. “He’s

How can you recreate someone with just their heart? Shouldn’t you at least use their brain to transfer memories like they show in the scifi movies?”Steve slowly walked ahead. “Her memories are already stored elsewhere. Once the clone has been prepared, I will only need to insert that heart to mak

This is so creepy.”[It’s not a vampire’s heart.]“What? Then what is it?”[It’s a human heart.]Kevin frowned. “How is a human heart beating on its own? Are you making a fool out of me?”[A vampire’s blood is black, so the heart looks black.]Kevin’s expression changed. “Then… how is this heart pumping?”[What’s inside that jar isn’t probably normal liquid but

If it weren’t for the steelsoul arts, everyone there would have died. He said he was a vampire, but he was not like anything shown in the movies. How should I put it? He’s much more bizarre.”Just then, a car stopped next to Kevin’s car.A middle-aged woman stepped out and kicked the smithy’s door open.“Hermann, did you really tell our daughter that you won’t give her any money for her wedding?” she fumed at the man who was busy forging a sword.“She didn’t want me holding her hands at the wedding,” Hermann replied. “She says it's an old tradition that supports
