Kevin put a blue suit on and combed his hair. He seemed a bit sad that he was alone in the mirror.

He wished that his wife was standing right next to him.

Exhaling audibly, Kevin came out of his room and saw that all of his wife’s family members were sitting at the dining table, gobbling up the breakfast menu.

He was about to take the seat next to his beautiful blonde wife, Cecilia, but a sudden loud noise nearly cracked his eardrums.

“KEVIN! Why is there a damn cockroach in my bathroom?” Brielle, his mother-in-law, who had the biggest mouth in the world, yelled ever so casually.

“How would I know, Aunt?” he replied, sitting down and showering a smile at his wife. Her ocean-blue eyes made him want to keep looking at her.

“Don’t call me Aunt, and don’t smile at my daughter!” Brielle growled. “Don’t forget the deal we made. Until you fulfill your end of the deal by bringing profits to that company you’re entrusted with, you can’t have Cecilia. Now, if I find the cockroach later in my bathroom, I’m going to give you negative points.”

Kevin frowned.

Every negative point meant that he’d be burned with more menial tasks.

“I will be right back,” Kevin got up and went upstairs to clean the bathroom which he had already cleaned just the previous night.

“Mom,” Cecilia looked at her mother who had a long face. “You gave Kevin the worst company we owned. And how do you expect him to bring profits when you don’t give him any support?”

“Hmph, if it wasn’t for the stupid promise your grandparents made, I would have never agreed to your marriage with that loser!” Brielle barked.

“He’s not a loser, Mom,” Cecilia replied politely. “His father was the one who lost all the money and didn’t even let his son have the inheritance."

“He left his son to us and ran away to some third-world country. If he dares show himself before me, I’ll shove his face in the toilet for good!” Brielle looked at her only daughter. “I think it’s time you move on. Divorce Kevin and marry someone suitable for your range and class.”

Cecilia pursed her lips together, clearly not happy with what her mother was suggesting.

“You should listen to Mom,” Cecilia’s brothers voiced their opinions. “She knows the best.”

Kevin’s father was a multi-millionaire, but because of his partners betraying him, he lost all of his wealth and incurred debt. But this happened exactly on the day of the marriage.

Kevin’s father ran away, and the money lenders came to Kevin.

Brielle and others told him to not give them any money, but Kevin told Brielle, “I will work hard and earn more money.”

Kevin ended up giving away the 43 million dollars he received as inheritance.

In doing so, Kevin earned a good name in the city circle, which stopped his father from getting an international bounty put on his head in the underworld, but it had the exact opposite effect on O’Brian’s family.

Other than Cecilia, everyone else hated him for his decision of giving away all of his money for the mistakes his father made.

Brielle, on that wedding night, told Kevin that he and Cecilia should live in separate rooms until Kevin proved himself by earning more than 43 million dollars.

However, Brielle made him the CEO of a toilet product manufacturing company, Serenity, which was a subsidiary of O’Brian Group.

The revenue of Serenity when Kevin took over was just above 500,000 dollars. It was at its lowest.

After a year and half, it increased to one million, but it’s still very far from the 43 million mark. With nobody in O’Brian family allowed to support Kevin, it might be impossible to reach that mark unless a miracle were to happen.

Meanwhile, Kevin was in the bathroom attached to Brielle’s bedroom. He closed the windows and everything and sat there, waiting for the cockroach to come out, assuming there was one.

Kevin looked upset, but then his mobile rang.

It was a message from Cecilia. She sent him an emoji of a flying kiss.

Kevin exhaled and smiled. She was the only one in the O’Brian family who secretly supported him.

He opened her profile and kissed her photo.

Just then, a cockroach flew over and landed on his nose. “AHH!” He ended up tossing the mobile into the air.

It flew and fell into the toilet bowl.

“Shit!” Kevin immediately put his hand into the bowl without hesitation and grabbed the mobile.

BBZZZZ~~!!

A strong surge of electricity coursed through his body. He got jolted backward. The mobile was in his hand, discharging visible electric charge.

A message briefly displayed on the screen, ‘Showman System: Shit Model Activated…’ before the screen went blank.

Kevin was questioned about his attempt to save the people from the burning bus.She and Orland criticized him very much, whereas Dabby and Rory scolded him, calling it foolishness to risk his life for strangers. On top of that, Brielle asked him about his fight with the thugs on the street.“Don’t drag our image onto the streets,” Brielle said coldly. “If something like this happens ever again, I will punish you appropriately.”“Aren’t you going to punish him now?” Naomi asked innocently. “How will he learn from his mistakes if you don’t punish him?”Brielle smiled as she could see through Naomi’s intentions. “Alright. Then you’ll stay in your room for the entire tomorrow and repent your actions.”“That can’t happen,” Kevin was quick to tell them. “I need to work hard every day if I want to win the challenge!”“Hmph, one day won’t change anything,” Sadia snorted. “Why are you acting like you can actually clear the challenge? Where are you going to earn 43 million dollars from? Are you

Kevin and Cecilia returned home. Her family members were all having a conference meeting in the hall. When Kevin entered with Cecilia, Dabby was the first one to ask him, “Did you ask Draknor Finance for 2 million dollars?”Kevin was surprised that the information already reached his family members. “Did anyone from the company contact you?”“Of course, they did. Not me, but they called my dad,” Dabby blurted. “Do you realize how awkward and uncomfortable he must have felt because he had to talk to the loan sharks?”“We never beg others for money, Kevin,” Rory added with calm pomposity. “You wouldn’t know it because you didn’t grow up here. And in the past three years, you've been busy cleaning toilets.”“Pfft,” Sadia nearly burst into laughter.Even Cecilia looked a bit shocked. But then she also understood why he would take the loan. He had to get the money from somewhere to multiply it and then win the challenge he had made to her mother.“I thought you might actually be up to some

He was the last person she expected to see at her home.“What are you doing here?” Sariyu took out her gun immediately.Jack still sat down and was pouring himself a drink. The maids were standing nervously in the background.“I know you learned how to shoot from Dad, but he didn’t teach it to you so you can shoot his son,” Jack said.“His son?” Sariyu frowned. “You’re not his son. You may have the same blood as him, but he always regretted that you were born into this world. You’re nothing but a monster who killed my mom.““I didn’t kill her.”“Cut the bullshit. The flight didn’t magically crash into the sea. You were behind it. You killed not just my mom, but everyone on that flight. Calling you a monster wouldn’t do justice.”“It’s true that I hated your mom because she never considered me

I have no excuses,” Huggard said without even looking back. “Just kill me.”Jack walked over and sat next to Huggard and opened an alcohol bottle made in the 1800s.“Red wine preserved with aura for almost 200 years,” Jack said. “I spent 30 million dollars to buy this one in the ‘swamp’ market.”He drank half of the bottle in one go, and then gasped a little.“This is it,” he grinned. “Normal wine doesn’t even hold a candle to this.”“Is it that good?” Huggard asked.“Yeah,” Jack gave the bottle to him.Huggard took a sip and was quite shocked by it. “I-it’s really strong. Stronger than any drink I tasted.”“Haha, you can drink the rest if you want.”“I can?”“Yes, you can.”“But… I
