2023-02-20 22:59:37The next morning, Joe, Mike and Phill were still asleep in the room. They snored out tiredly, until the sound of Phill's alarm came on.
"I'm up! I'm up!" Mike yelled out from his sleep, sitting right up immediately.
"Dude! Your alarm is too loud," Joe complained, sitting up as well and rubbing his eyes.
Phill yawned and took hold of his phone. He turned off the alarm and sat up as well. "Sorry about that. But you should be thanking me," He said.
"For waking us up with noise? Yeah, thanks a lot," Mike said sarcastically to Phill. He too was rubbing his eyes.
The three roommates sat up looking at one another. They yawned at the same time and glanced around the room. Looking for what to do and where to start from.
"Honestly speaking, I just to know where to start from or what to do at this very moment," Joe confessed, crossing his legs.
"Same thing here," Mike supported Joe. The three friends sighed and decided to stand and clean up.
Just as they were standing, Mike glanced around the floor of their room and paused, looking confused.
Phill and Joe were already standing straight, about to head for the bathroom. They noticed how Mike bent, staring at the ground.
"What happened to you? Did you remember a dream or what?" Joe teased Mike, chuckling at him.
Mike said, standing right and pointing at the ground, "Didn't we leave this place messy last night?"
Hearing him ask, Phill and Joe looked at the floor and also noticed how neat the floor was.
"This ground was dirty last night. I remember you refused to help in cleaning up so we left it," Phill pointed out.
Observing how clean the ground as well as the room was, the three friends navigated their attention to where Jeff 's bed.
They discovered that JEFF wasn't in his bed. "Where's Jeff ?" Joe asked, walking towards the bathroom to check.
"Is he there?" Phill asked, walking towards Joe along with Mike, who followed him from behind.
Joe opened the bathroom door wide but JEFF wasn't inside. "He's not in here," Joe confirmed, closing the door back.
"Do you think he woke up early to go for an interview? He did say he was going to give his search another chance today," Mike pointed out, reminding Phill and Joe.
Phill recurred and assumed the same. "Maybe you're right. Let's call him just to be sure," Phill suggested, heading back to where he slept to get his phone.
Phill's about to pick his phone up when the door came opened. The three friends looked up and found JEFF at the door.
"Oh! You guys are finally awake," JEFF said, with his head poking into the room.
"Dude, we thought you had gone for an interview. I was just about to call you," Phill said.
"No I didn't. I just went out for a stroll," JEFF said to his roommates. Entering the room finally with four take out nylon.
Joe, Phill and Mike are stunned to see this with Jeff . He noticed how they stayed at his hands. So he said, " I thought I should grab us something to eat this morning."
"Well you did well Jeff . I'll go freshen up quickly. I'm already getting hungry," Joe said, turning back and heading for the bathroom.
JEFF locked the door with his leg without looking behind. He moved in and dropped the take out on the table.
Mike and Phill moved closer to him to see what he had bought for them to eat. JEFF brought out the food and dropped it on the table.
"Waw! This is large Jeff . It almost looked like we're having a party," Phill said, chuckling and patting JEFF on the shoulder.
JEFF smirked and kept on bringing out more things from the nylon. Nice cold drink and chips to go along with their meal.
"Yeah! This is what I call a good morning breakfast!" Mike exclaimed excitedly, rubbing his palms together.
Mike lifted a pack of chip and ate out. Phill faced Jeff , as he gathered the nylons together.
"Aren't you having an interview today?" Phill asked him, taking another pack of chip to munch on.
JEFF heard him. He wrapped the nylon and responded to Phill. "I was, but I didn't feel like going there today," He said, keeping the nylon aside.
Phill felt JEFF turned down the interview because of what happened yesterday. He didn't want to say anything about it so as to not remind JEFF about Ashley's action.
"There's always another day,"JEFF said, facing Phill and smirking at him.
Phill nodded briefly at Jeff . "You're right. There's always another day," He agreed, Patting JEFF again.
He ate out of the chip and dropped it down, looking at Mike, who was almost done eating his own.
"Don't eat mine," Phill warned him before heading towards the bathroom to see if Joe was almost done.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Mike asked Phill while eating his chip. Walking to go and check out Joe.
JEFF didn't bother looking at them. He had his eyes on the table filled with the food he bought.
The system came on again. JEFF saw the details of his debit from the meal he bought. The amount left planted a smile on his face.
"There are a lot of things I want to do. But where do I start from?" He wondered in his thought.
JEFF sat down and took a chips to munch on. Thousands of ideas ran through his head. He even imagined himself ruining Ashley and her lover Trent.
"Ashley and her lover are my main aim. I need to think of a perfect way to wreck them for good, most especially Trent," JEFF pondered on.
He's lost in his thought of revenge when he felt a hand touching him from behind.
JEFF looked back and found Joe there. His eyes where on the food he bought. "Dude! Is that chicken I see?" Joe asked, grabbing a chair.
