Connor stood by the window for only a moment longer before making his decision. His expression hardened, and without another thought,he turned and walked out of the hotel room. The exhaustion in his body was still present, but it no longer mattered. His mind was fixed on one thing alone.“Iris is in there,” he muttered to himself as he stepped into the hallway. “And I am not leaving this city without her.”He took the elevator down and walked out of the hotel lobby into the night air. Before heading to the bathroom, Connor casually walked over to the wall and switched on the television mounted near the sitting area. The screen flickered to life immediately, and a news broadcast appeared.
