Rise Of The Imprisoned Student

Rise Of The Imprisoned Student

Alex blinked slowly. His brain struggled to process the scene. Then his gaze shifted to the man, the one proposing. Daniel Foster. The so-called cousin. Alex let out a quiet breath. “What the hell…” His voice wasn’t loud, but Lily heard it. Her head snapped toward him. For a brief moment her face froze. Then her expression turned cold. “Alex?” The crowd also noticed him. Students began whispering. “Who is that?” “Wait… I think I know him.” Alex walked forward a step. His eyes moved between Lily and Daniel, still trying to process what he was seeing. “Your cousin?” he asked slowly. “So… cousins propose with rings now?” Daniel frowned slightly. Lily’s face immediately darkened. “What are you doing here?” she snapped. Alex stared at her in shock. “You don't remember? I just got out today.” Her brows furrowed. “You shouldn’t be here.” Alex tilted his head and he scoffed loudly in disbelief. “Why not?” “Because you belong in prison,” Lily said looking irritated. The words hit him like a slap as he took a step back. The crowd gasped. Alex stared at her silently. “Prison?” he repeated quietly. “Yes.” Lily crossed her arms. “You’re a murderer, Alex. And murderers belong in prison.” The crowd erupted in whispers. “Murderer?” “Wait… I remember now!” “That’s him!” A girl pointed at Alex. “He’s the student who killed someone in a car accident three years ago!” Another student laughed. “Holy shit it really is him!” “So he’s out already?” “Why is he back here?” More people started whispering and pointing. Alex could hear everything clearly as he clenched and unclenched his fist. But his eyes never left Lily.

Chapter: CH-80
For several seconds, neither of the two men said anything. They simply stood there staring at Richard as though they were waiting for him to take back what he had just said. The expression on their faces had completely changed. The taller man slowly lowered his arms from his chest, while the other man's eyes widened with disbelief. Neither of them seemed capable of immediately processing the information Mr. Donovan had just delivered. Finally, the taller man broke the silence."Wait a moment. Did you just say that Victor Hale's son is back?"Mr. Donovan slowly nodded, his expression remaining completely serious. "Yes. That is exactly what I said."The second man stared at him for several seconds before shaking his head. "That is impossible. The last information we received was that the boy was still missing.""I know," Mr. Donovan replied calmly."We were told that after all these years, there was still no sign of him. As far as we knew, Victor had spent years searching without findi

Chapter: CH-79
Richard Donovan forced another smile onto his face, although it required far more effort than before. He slowly rose from the chair opposite Mr. Hale's desk and straightened the front of his tailored suit."I suppose I've taken enough of your time for today," he said with a light chuckle. "There are still a number of reports waiting on my desk, and if I stay here much longer, my assistants will probably start wondering where I've disappeared to."Mr. Hale smiled warmly. "I understand."Mr. Donovan picked up the leather folder he had brought with him and tucked it beneath his arm.As he reached the door, he suddenly paused and turned around again."Before I go..."Mr. Hale looked at him. "Yes?"Mr. Donovan's smile returned, warmer than ever. "I really am looking forward to meeting Alex properly."Mr. Hale's face softened immediately. "I know you are.""I've heard so much about him already." Mr. Donovan chuckled. "I have to admit, I'm curious."Mr. Hale leaned back comfortably in his ch

There was a few minutes of silence before Richard cleared his throat and spoke."Mr. Hale….There was actually something I wanted to talk to you about.""Go ahead." Victor nodded calmly."I've been thinking about the decision you made recently." Mr. Donovan said again.Mr. Hale frowned slightly. "What decision?"Mr. Donovan folded his hands together before answering. "The transfer of ownership, the companies, the shares."Mr. Hale's expression remained calm. "What about them?"Mr. Donovan leaned forward slightly in his chair. "I've been wondering..."He paused for a brief moment, carefully choosing his next words. "Are you absolutely certain you've made the right decision?""What exactly do you mean by that?" Mr. Hale looked at him with mild surprise.Mr. Donovan immediately raised one hand. "Please don't misunderstand me. I'm not questioning the fact that Alex is your son."Mr. Hale remained silent and simply waited for him to continue."I'm only wondering whether everything is happen

Chapter: CH-77
Victor Hale sat alone inside the executive office on the top floor of Hale Global Holdings. The floor-to-ceiling windows behind him overlooked the city's skyline, but he paid no attention to the breathtaking view. On any other day, he would have admired the sight for a few moments before getting back to work.Today, however, it was as though the view did not even exist. His hands were clasped together beneath his chin as he sat motionless in his leather chair. His thoughts were somewhere else. Far away from business, far away from work.Slowly, he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes.Almost immediately, memories came rushing back....Dark clouds covered the sky as heavy rain poured relentlessly onto the cemetery.Rows of mourners dressed in black stood quietly beneath their umbrellas, their faces filled with sorrow. The only sounds were the rain striking the umbrellas, the wind blowing through the trees, and the soft sobs of grieving family members.Victor stood silently in

Chapter: CH-76
Alex followed the directions the Vice Chancellor had given him until he arrived at the university's Media and Communications Office. The office occupied one corner of the Administrative Building.Alex paused for a moment before knocking gently on the open door."Good afternoon."The man in the office looked up from his computer and smiled politely."Good afternoon. Please come in.""I was directed here by the Vice Chancellor." Alex stepped inside."The Vice Chancellor?" the man repeated as he pushed his chair back slightly. "Please, have a seat. How can I help you?"Alex sat down opposite the man's desk."He asked me to come here because I'm contesting the Student Union presidential election."Understanding immediately appeared on the staff member's face."Oh, I see." He smiled. "So you're one of this year's candidates. What exactly do you need us to prepare for you?""Flyers, posters, banners, and campaign advertisements," Alex said. The man nodded approvingly."That's exactly where

Chapter: CH-75
The moment Alex stepped into the Vice Chancellor's office, he quietly closed the door behind him.The Vice Chancellor looked up from the stack of documents spread neatly across his desk. The moment he saw who had entered, a faint smile appeared on his face."Mr. Hayes."Alex nodded respectfully. "Good afternoon, sir.""Good afternoon, Mr. Hayes." The Vice Chancellor gestured toward the chair in front of his desk. "Please, have a seat.""Thank you, sir."Alex walked over and sat down, carefully placing the large envelope he had been carrying on his lap."I assume this visit has something to do with the Student Union election," the Vice Chancellor said."Yes, sir. That's exactly why I came." Alex nodded. The Vice Chancellor leaned back comfortably in his chair. "Very well. Tell me, what would you like to discuss?"Alex scratched the back of his head awkwardly before letting out a quiet laugh."To be completely honest, sir..."He hesitated for a moment before continuing."I don't even kn

Chapter: Chapter 190
Connor did not utter a single word as Lena continued to speak with unwavering confidence, as she praised the arrival of the CEO of the Winchester Group. What Lena did not know, however, was that the man she was glorifying, the very authority she was counting on to save her from embarrassment, was standing quietly before her.Connor watched her with a faint smile resting on his lips. It was not a mocking smile, nor was it one filled with bitterness. Instead, it was a calm, reflective expression, as he was observing a memory unfold before him.Inside his mind, his thoughts moved steadily, each one layered with meaning.“So this is how far things have come,” he reflected silently. “The same people who once dismissed me as nothing now place their hopes on a version of me they cannot even recognize.”His gaze lingered on Lena for a moment longer, and there was a subtle shift in his eyes ,something deeper than amusement, something closer to understanding.“You speak of power,” he continued

Chapter: Chapter 189
The owner of the hall let out a faint, amused sigh as he shook his head slowly. He stepped forward, his voice calm but firm as he addressed Lena directly.“Miss Lena,” he began, “you seem to be holding onto a belief that someone is coming here who will change everything.”Lena crossed her arms over her chest, lifting her chin slightly. “Not just someone,” she corrected him sharply. “Someone you cannot control.”The owner raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “There is no one who will walk into this hall that I cannot deal with,” he replied evenly. “This is my property, and I decide what happens here.”He paused briefly, then added with a subtle emphasis, “And more importantly, I am with the most significant person standing here.”The statement caused a ripple of curiosity among the guests.Lena frowned slightly. “What do you mean by that?” she asked, her tone laced with skepticism. The owner turned his head slightly and gestured toward Connor, who stood calmly a few steps behind

Chapter: Chapter 188
The owner of the venue's expression turned stern and authoritative.“Enough,” he said firmly. “Everyone should remain silent.”The command carried a weight that no one dared to challenge. Almost immediately, the murmuring voices faded, and the laughter died down. Connor stood calmly at the center of it all, his expression unchanged. ,While Lena and Benjamin still wore faint traces of disbelief mixed with irritation. The guests, now silent, watched attentively. The owner reached into his pocket and brought out his phone. Without saying another word, he unlocked it and navigated swiftly through the screen before holding it up for everyone to see.“At times,” he began slowly, his voice measured, “words are not enough to convince people. So perhaps it is better to show proof.”He stepped forward slightly and turned the screen outward, angling it so that those closest could see clearly.“This,” he continued, “is the transaction alert I received earlier today.”A few people at the fron

Chapter: Chapter 187
The manager moved his eyes between Connor and the owner of the hall.It was clear from the trembling of his hands that fear had taken hold of him completely.Connor looked at him steadily, his voice measured and composed as he finally spoke. “I will give you a chance,” he said quietly. “If you are humble enough to recognize your mistake, then I may consider allowing you to keep your job. But that depends entirely on what you choose to do next.”The manager swallowed hard, his throat suddenly dry. “Sir… I… I understand,” he stammered, his voice shaking slightly.Without wasting another moment, he began to lower himself to his knees in front of Connor, his movements hesitant but desperate. However, just as his knees were about to touch the ground, a hand shot out and grabbed his arm forcefully.“Have you completely lost your mind?” Lena’s sharp voice cut through the air as she yanked him back upright. The manager staggered slightly as he was pulled back, his expression filled with co

The call ended, and then Connor lowered his phone.Around him, the murmurs of the guests gradually faded into an uneasy silence. All eyes turned toward the entrance as the manager had just stormed in with two imposing security guards behind him.Lena’s lips curled into a satisfied smile as she folded her arms across her chest, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. “Well, Connor,” she said with a mocking tone, tilting her head slightly, “it seems your time is finally up. You should have listened when I warned you earlier.”Benjamin stepped forward, adjusting his suit as he smirked. “You heard the call yourself, didn’t you?” he added, glancing at Connor with obvious disdain. “The manager is here not alone but with two security guards. That alone should tell you how serious this has become. You should have left when you still had a shred of dignity.”Connor did not respond immediately.Instead, he simply looked at them both, a faint smile playing on his lips, as their words held no weig

Chapter: Chapter 185
Lena’s confusion was evident on her face, her brows furrowed as she stared at him, trying to understand the confidence behind his calm expression.Connor did not say another word to her immediately. Instead, he lifted his hand slightly and gestured. “Step aside,” he said quietly.Lena blinked, caught off guard by his tone. “What?” she asked, clearly offended.“I said step aside,” Connor repeated, his voice still calm but now carrying a firm edge.Lena scoffed. “And if I don’t?” she challenged, folding her arms again.Connor did not argue. He simply reached forward and gently but firmly pushed her aside, not with aggression, but with a confidence that made it impossible for her to resist.“Connor!” Lena snapped, stumbling slightly as she moved out of his way. “How dare you”But Connor had already turned his back on her, completely ignoring her outrage as he began walking toward the stage.Benjamin stepped forward immediately. “What do you think you are doing?” he demanded.Connor did n
