"Boss, it is good to finally see you," A middle-aged man said addressing a young man in his late Twenties.

The middle-aged man was donning a black expensive suit and exquisite leather shoes, while the young man wore casual wear—faded clothes and a pair of worn out shoes.

"Good to see you too, Greg." The young man, Nolan said nonchalantly.

"Did you acquire what I asked for?" Nolan suddenly asked.

"Yes boss.” Greg nodded immediately.

“This is a limited edition diamond necklace worth $300,000 in auction house," Greg said as he handed over a small black box containing the item, to Nolan.

Nolan received the box, and opened the packaging only to be drowned by the soft gleaming gems of an intricate, elegant, and finely made diamond necklace.

The diamond necklace was one out of 50 in the globe. Crafted by fine craftsmanship, the beautiful diamond necklace spoke of high class and wealth.

"Very good. She will definitely like it." Nolan acknowledged. He gave the diamond necklace one last glance before he closed the box's lid.

"It is my pleasure to be of service to you, Mr. Wilton." Greg bowed slightly.

"Boss, your sister wanted you to have this," Greg added as he reached out into his suit's pocket, fetched out a black bank card and handed it over to Nolan.

“What is this?” Nolan inquired.

"This is a black Centurion card with a no credit limit. The card has 10 billion dollars on stand-by ready for your use at any time, boss." Greg continued.

Nolan shifted his gaze from the bank card and peered into the distance, where a black Rolls-Royce was parked. He was pretty sure that his little sister, Daisy Wilton, was inside the car and probably watching him right now.

"She's still angry with me, I guess." Nolan mumbled to himself. He had done something really terrible to her, but yet she was still worried about his wellbeing.

Five years ago, the 24 years old successful billionaire magnate, Nolan Wilton, had decided to take a long break away from all the hundreds of billions of dollars he had made in the past years. He wanted to teach himself to appreciate the smallest things in life.

On the course of enjoying his long vacation as an absolute nobody, with no dime to his name, and a completely different identity, Nolan fell in love with Megan Jones, an ambitious woman as at the time he'd met her.

Nolan ended up marrying Megan a year after they met.

But, Nolan didn't invite any of his family members to his wedding, afraid that he would look suspicious in people's eyes if powerful figures of high society suddenly pulled up at a nobody's wedding... or that his family members might unintentionally compromise his identity.

This was what got Nolan's sister, Daisy, upset when she found out about her brother's wedding. She felt deprived of her rights as a sister-in-law.

Daisy Wilton made it clear to Nolan that she wouldn't speak to him ever again unless he made things right and properly introduced his wife to the entire family. Nolan had reassured her that he was working on it.

It's been four years since he got married to Megan and there seemed to be no improvement at all. Rather, things had changed for the worse.

Nolan had been secretly funding his wife's company; providing support, money and even career opportunities to her company. He'd thought that his marriage would improve greatly if his wife started making money, but it ended up backfiring.

Immediately after Megan started earning some decent amount of money from her advertising company—and her social status elevated, her attitude towards Nolan changed for the worse. She started seeing him as a complete loser, a leech who feeds off her hard earned money, a useless and poor husband who couldn't even get a stable job. Megan became cold and indifferent towards Nolan.

But everything was going to change very soon.

Today marked their fourth anniversary. Nolan planned to pick Megan at her place of work and take her out to dinner. He wanted to give Megan this expensive limited edition diamond necklace as an anniversary present. He was also going to confess to her that he'd been the one secretly funding her company this entire time. Also…

He plans to reveal his true identity to her tonight.

Nolan couldn't wait. He could already imagine the priceless look on her face when he finally reveals everything to her. He knew how much she admired and respected her secret benefactor. She would always talk about "them" in the house. Saying that she wished she could repay "them" back for everything, and say a big thank you to "them"... or at least buy "them" a meal in appreciation for all "their" support and kindness.

How would her reaction be, when she finds out that he was the one secretly funding her company?

A smile crept under Nolan's lips.

"Are you alright, boss?" Greg suddenly asked.

Greg's voice jolted Nolan back to reality, it was then that Nolan realized how creepy he must have looked like in the eyes of Greg, when he was staring into space and smiling sheepishly.

"I am okay." Nolan flipped the black bank card between his fingers, "I will definitely take her out to dinner tonight and buy her an exquisite meal in a five-star restaurant." Nolan decided to take Megan out for dinner.

"If that is all boss, permit me to excuse myself," Greg bowed slightly again before leaving.

Nolan just waved at him before turning around to leave as well.

Nolan was so excited. His head was filled with anticipation. He couldn't wait to tell Megan everything.

Nolan hailed a taxi.

"To Skyhall Advertising Company, BB district." Nolan got into the taxi and said to the driver. The driver nodded in response. He immediately started the vehicle and drove off.

The car continued speeding through the asphalt road, and Nolan watched the neon lit bustling streets of the city through its window.

He tried not to think too much about anything. He didn't want to ruin the mood.

His thoughts instantly went to his wife's family. His in-laws would always mock him for being poor and useless, and they would mistake his silence for weakness. They would always treat him like trash, ordering him around like a servant even when the servants were around.

Nolan always tried to avoid his wife's family, but they would always find a way to make his life miserable. He couldn't wait to see the expressions on their faces when he finally revealed his true identity to them. Of course, they could wait. He planned to make it known to them during his wife's father's birthday party in two days' time. Until then, his in-laws could wait.

Right now, his top priority was telling Megan. He had mixed feelings of excitement, fear, and anticipation. He didn't know how Megan would react, but he hoped for the better.

"We are here, sir."

Suddenly, the taxi stopped, and Nolan looked up. The taxi pulled up in front of a two storey building, painted brown and purple, and with the logo "Skyhall Advertising Company" boldly written in a bill board in front of the building.

Nolan paid the fare and stepped out of the taxi. For a moment, he just stared at the building.

The transparent glass doors slid open and Nolan stepped into the Skyhall Advertising Company's building.

He was welcomed by the familiar interior designs of the building, the air inside felt different—cold and soothing to the skin, the walls were painted pink and white, and the employees were busy focusing on the screen of their monitors.

But immediately after Nolan stepped into the building, he felt countless gazes piercing into the very fiber of his existence. Some were looks of disdain, others gave him pitiful looks, while most of them glared at him in disgust.

There was murmuring everywhere:

"What's this trash doing here today?" Someone suddenly said.

Another person added, "Ahh... Someone please turn on the AC. His filth is suffocating in here."

"The AC is already on."

"Really?"

"I just can't believe he is our boss's husband." Someone whispered.

“Right?”

"Me too. The two of them are completely from two different classes. From two different leagues. He is not fit to be called our boss's husband. I bet he's here to beg her for some money."

"Look how poorly he's dressed. His clothes and shoes are so cheap and with zero brands. He probably got them from a thrift shop."

...

Nolan was looked down on by his wife's employees. But he was used to them looking at him in disgust and disdain. And he was used to them whispering bad things about him whenever he stepped into the Skyhall Advertising Company's building. He ignored them and kept walking.

Everything will change, after all, and they would soon see who would be laughing last at the end.

Soon, Nolan arrived in front of his wife's office but he was immediately stopped by her secretary, Alison Glenn, a young woman with blond hair, short stature and a curvy body type.

"Where do you think you're going? Does this place look like the sewers where you can freely enter however you please? In this place we act formal and civilized. We don't just barge into people's offices.”

Nolan, “...”

Alison hissed angrily and fired a death stare at Nolan.

“Well, I don't expect anything less from you. I bet you were homeless when madam picked you up from the gutters out of her own generous good will. You probably took advantage of her kind and generous heart, and forced your way into marrying her. You're nothing but a disgusting scum. A poor and wretched scum, for that matter.” Alison spat out in disgust, she glared at Nolan in utter disdain.

“Well good thing madam's eyes are finally open to see the truth." Alison continued, she suddenly started rummaging through the drawers of her desk and quickly retrieved a bunch of A4 papers.

She threw the papers on Nolan's face—the bunched papers fell to the floor with a ‘thud’—and she shouted:

"Sign those divorce papers and return to the gutters where you belong, scum. Madam Jones doesn't want you in her life anymore. Sign them and get lost, loser."

Nolan was surprised by Alison's sudden behavior today. He knew she felt hatred and disgust towards him. He'd occasionally caught her staring daggers at him. She didn't shy away when she expressed her hatred and disgust towards him.

But today?

Today was a whole different level.

Not only was she speaking to him in a disrespectful manner, she also threw papers on his face claiming they were divorce papers from his wife, and that he should sign them and get lost.

Nolan bent down to pick the papers, rage slowly building up inside of him as he read through them realizing their purpose.

'Divorce papers? But why?' Nolan thought.

"Are you done reading it? Can you even read? I don't care, just sign the divorce papers immediately and take your leave. You reek of poverty..." Alison was saying.

Nolan suddenly spared Alison a death stare, she instinctively flinched. "Wh-what kind of look is that?"

"Leave the way!" Nolan said in a hoarse and commanding tone—his voice, a hint of burning rage.

Alison was utterly speechless, "..."

Alison had never seen Nolan like this before. He was always so silent, frail and timid. A complete good-for-nothing loser. But the aura the man standing in front of her today was emanating, was so domineering… and overwhelmingly frightening.

Alison instinctively stepped away, cold sweats formed on her temple.

Nolan twisted the door knob and stepped into Megan's office. However, he was immediately stunned by the sight before him.

His wife, Megan was having an affair with another man inside her office.

The man was furiously kissing her lips while his hand slowly unbuttoned her suit, grabbing her breast under her shirt and forcefully caressing it.

"Who the fuck dares interrupt me?" The man blurted out furiously when he heard the creaking sound of the opening door. He looked up to see Nolan watching them with dagger piercing eyes. Instantly, Megan jumped up to her feet as soon as she spotted Nolan.

"Nolan, what are you doing here? You're supposed to be at home."

"Megan, who the fuck is this guy?" The man shouted out in frustration. Seeing how poorly dressed Nolan was, he couldn't possibly be anyone important, right?

"I will tell you who the fuck I am. I am Megan's husband, you lecher." Nolan thundered in rage.

"Who the fuck are you calling a lecher? Do you know who I am? I can ruin your entire life with a snap of my finger." The man continued with a deep hoarse voice, "Megan, is this that guy you talked about? The good-for-nothing husband of yours who's as poor as a church rat. I thought you said you were going to divorce him tonight? What's he doing here?"

"Good-for-nothing husband? Me, a church rat? Divorce? Megan, what is this man talking about? What the hell is going on here? You better start explaining." Nolan inquired, rage slowly building up inside of him. He tightly clenched the divorce papers in his grips.

"Nolan, I don't have any explanation for you. Let's divorce." Megan suddenly said, shocking Nolan greatly.

"What?" Nolan was taken aback by her sudden response.
