"Yes, Pa Drakes. I must claim my place. Jakes said, then he paused for a while looking very sad. "It's just that...it may be dangerous for me to come back with such a high profile."

"No problem son, I understand. This can be our little secret for the time being." Pa Drakes said.

"However, I have a few more things to tell you," he continued.

"The Johnson family owned a total of twenty-five companies within and outside Fitbuck City. Only within Fitbuck City are eight renowned companies. Four are among the top ten leading companies in the city; one of them is the " Class of Verity" which was taken over by the Allisons, while the remaining three are smaller companies which report to the bigger ones.

The remaining seventeen companies are in seven other countries of the world. But don't worry, I'll soon hand over a document that shows every detail you need to know. The document contains the names of the different companies, their locations, and their presiding managers."

"Wow! This is great!" Jakes exclaimed. He was so excited now. "So..."

"Well. I'm not done yet." Pa Drakes interrupted him. There is a central account for the companies within Fitbuck city which currently contains a rough total of twenty billion dollars. Other family properties and investments within and outside Fitbuck City are likely worth a total of a hundred billion dollars."

"This is unbelievable!" Jakes exclaimed.

"It is so true, son. That's the reality of the Johnson family properties and investments."

"And I have suffered all this while as if I was born to live in abject poverty," Jakes said as he shook his head in disbelief.

"So, what about the document showing the family's properties and investments?" Jakes asked.

"Hold on. I'll be back in a moment." Pa Drakes said as he walked towards one of the rooms.

Within a short time, he came back with a big file in his hands. "This is a file containing every detail you need to know about the family's properties and investments. Please, come close." Pa Drakes said as he opened the file before Jakes.

"Can you see these? This is a list of the family's assets?" Pa Drakes said, flipping his finger through a list.

"The "Class of Verity" is just one of the companies owned by your family. The Allisons believe that it is the only major investment your family has. They are not in any way aware of the other family investments.

"Hmm...You know what Pa Drakes? For now, I will need you to document two of the largest companies in my name. I'll take over them for the time being; it will be a secret between us."

"That's fine." Pa Drakes nodded in response, and then he said:

"I will be making you a signatory to the Companies' Central account, and will also be transferring every money in the family's account to you..."

"No. I won't like us to rush things now. If everything is given to me at once, I won't be able to hide them, and it is dangerous for me to come out suddenly with such wealth and affluence."

"Sir, I'll only need you to transfer a few million dollars into a secret account that will be opened in my name. You can go on with making me a signatory to the Companies' Central account, but I won't have to assess the money for the time being."

"That's okay. I'll be keeping every document safe with me so that you can come around anytime to have them. I'll also be guiding you on how to go about things, till you finally claim all of your family's properties and investments, and I'll be sending a tangible amount into your secret account." Pa Drakes assured.

"Alright, Sir. I'm grateful." Jakes replied. He shook hands with Pa Drakes and thanked him, then he walked out of the house.

It was now 4 p.m. Stephanie had prepared dinner for Jakes and was expecting his arrival when she heard her phone ring. She moved towards the table to pick up her phone, then she looked at the screen to see who was calling. It was Mrs Allison.

"Hello, Stephanie. We would be connecting for a group call with your Dad and Brother in some minutes' time."

"Okay," Stephanie replied. She frowned, wondering about the reason for the group call. Her family hardly called her, and she wondered if everything was okay.

"Hello, Helloo, Stephanie..." Stephanie's father spoke.

"Dad, what's wrong?..." Stephanie could sense panic in her father's voice.

"Stephanie." Mrs Allison interrupted. The family is in trouble right now. The company is owing an outrageous debt, and the debtors have promised to take over the company if the debt is not paid within a stipulated time. So we urgently need to get a big contract, to clear off the company's debts."

"Yes, Stephanie. That's right." Michael spoke from his end.

"To achieve this, you will need to get rid of that baby in your womb. I saw your text message telling me that you are already pregnant for that bastard!.." Mrs Allison said.

"Mum..."

"Don't interrupt me! Listen very carefully. You will have to abort that baby and get married to Mr Cameron..."

"What?!"

"Stephanie you heard me..."

"You know that the "Class of Verity" is the only property we have as a family. And it will be unwise to allow the debtor to take over it because of some debt. The only way you can show love and respect to me as your father is to marry Mr Cameron. He's my very good friend, and I'm sure he will take good care of you." Mr Allison interrupted.

"If you get married to him, the company's debts will be paid in no time, and..."

"Sweetheart, I'm back" Jakes calls from the entrance, interrupting Mrs Allison.

On hearing Jakes's voice, Stephanie quickly ended the call, dropped her phone on the table, and rushed to meet her husband. "Hi, Darling. Good to see you." Stephanie replied, hugging Jakes.

"Guess what dear. I got a new job." Jakes told his wife.

"Are you serious?!" Stephanie exclaimed.

"Damn serious!"

"Wow! We must celebrate this!" Stephanie shouted in excitement, as she rushed into the kitchen.

It was 7 pm. Back at the Allisons' house, Micheal just returned from work. He dropped his bag on the sofa and put off his shoes when he saw his mother sitting in the dining.

"Good evening, Mum." Jakes greets Mrs Allison.

"You're welcome, son."

"Mum, 'The Legends,' one of the biggest companies in Fitbuck city has placed a big contract in the market. It is a contract worth millions of dollars." Micheal said as he walked towards Mrs Allison.

"What?! Then we must do all we can to get it!" Mrs Alllison spoke emphatically.

"The Legends" happened to be one of the biggest companies in Fitbuck city, owned by the Johnsons, Jakes's family.

"Now, the deal is this: Whoever can help the family get this offer will be appointed as the family CEO." Mrs Allison continued.

"Wow!" Michael exclaimed. Because of this offer, Michael was now determined to do anything to get the contract.
