THE PRE-ARRANGED MEETING

Elsie had returned from her travel and her mother informed Mrs Allison about her return, so they fixed a time for her and Michael to see, without Michael's knowledge. Mrs Cole arrived from work that afternoon and decided to call her friend to remind her of the meeting between her daughter and Michael later that evening. "Hello, darling. How are you today?" Mrs Cole asked Mrs Allison over the phone. "I'm cool. Thank you," Mrs Allison responded.

"I hope you haven't forgotten the meeting between our children which is to take place later today," Mrs Cole asked. "Of course, I haven't forgotten. I can't be too busy to forget such. I'm so desperate to make sure Michael has nothing to do with that fool, Rose." Mrs Allison said.

"Wow. That sounds interesting. I' be expecting the both of you later this evening," Mrs Cole said as she hung up on the phone. Mrs Allison hadn't given Michael details about the meeting. She only told him that there was a friend the both of them needed to see later th
