Jakes sat at the dinner table with his friend Mark and his wife Kathryn, enjoying a pleasant evening filled with laughter and good company. As the conversation flowed, Jakes couldn't help but bring up the topic of Michael, the elusive figure who had caused so much turmoil in their lives.

"Have you heard anything new about Michael?" Jakes asked, his voice filled with genuine curiosity.

Mark shook his head, his brow furrowing with concern. "No, Jakes. The police are still searching for him. There hasn't been any significant update as far as I know."

Kathryn, who had been quietly listening, chimed in. "It's been weeks since we last heard from him. I can't even imagine where he could be hiding. The police seem to be at a dead end."
