Kevin wanted Danny's index and middle fingers, just as Danny had done to him, so he wanted equal payment.

"Then what did Victor say?" asked Danny.

"I'm sorry, sir, I really didn't give any orders about this. I just told him not to do anything to Tom and Kevin until you gave the go-ahead. However, when he received the request, Victor agreed with the consideration that if he didn't accept it, the Taylor family would seek help from someone else."

"But don't worry, Victor and I have already arranged for that to never happen."

Danny nodded. "Good!"

Danny had deliberately delayed this until he and Laura were officially divorced. Danny then hung up the phone and said nothing more, returning to his apartment unit. Just then, his phone rang again, this time from Sharon.

Danny was slightly surprised, as since he had remarried Laura, she had never called him after ten o'clock at night. Sharon was a woman who knew her limits, even though she liked Danny.
