'I think I need to check the villa first and see if there is any possibility of him being hidden somewhere here.'

Lucifer stood up and walked towards his wardrobe, his sharp gaze scanning his clothes hanging neatly on the stands. His gaze finally paused on a black long coat. He picked the coat and one other black shirt.

Lucifer quickly threw on the black coat and used the extra shirt to tie over his face—leaving only his two eyes visible, like a ninja.

Once he was done, he took a step towards the door but suddenly stopped.

'Might bump into someone.'

He turned back to the wardrobe and grabbed a small bag hanging at the edge of the furniture before turning towards the window this time.

He opened the bag and brought out a long brown rope, with a hook at one end.

He opened the window quietly and looked down from the second floor, confirming that no one was there. He hooked the rope by the window frame and threw down the rest of it. Then he brought out a thick black belt from the bag. He tied it around his waist, and got ready.

He glanced around and noticed the camera. He tapped a few times on his wristwatch, and the CCTV cameras slowly turned upwards, facing the night sky.

Lucifer climbed onto the window. He grabbed the rope and hooked it onto the belt on his waist. Then he started descending slowly.

One of the security men strolled towards the back. The man stood there and casually looked around. Lucifer, who was descending, was unaware that one of the security guards had just arrived there. He kept descending slowly, his eyes darting left and right, still not noticing the man standing just below him.

Just as he was a few inches from getting down to the ground floor, he reached out his leg. His feet moved down towards the man's head without him realizing it.

"Ouchu!"

The man suddenly sneezed.

"The wind is getting stronger tonight. I think it might begin to rain soon," the man muttered as he rubbed his arm, feeling the cold air blowing past him.

Lucifer froze. His eyes turned sharp, and he narrowed his gaze down below. Only then did he realize that his feet were just an inch away from stomping on the security man standing below, almost under the balcony.

Lucifer scrambled to get out of there quickly before the man would notice him. But in the process, the dirt from his shoes fell onto the man's head.

Noticing something pouring onto his head, the security guard touched his head and brought his hand in front of him. His brows furrowed in thought as he stared at it.

"What is this? Dirt?"

The man raised his head to look up, but before he could fully turn, Lucifer quickly used the rope to jump onto the balcony of the first floor, narrowly escaping the man's gaze.

The man looked up and didn't see anything. He looked back at his palm again and said, "Where did this dirt come from? What a jinx. I better go and wash it off." He then left the place.

After he left, Lucifer quickly got down. Once he confirmed that there were no other security guards around, he made his way towards the back end of the villa.

as he was searching around, looking for any possible clue that could give him a lead to his father.

He soon arrived, beside the basement. He saw three armed security men guarding the entrance of the basement, his curiosity was picked.

'Something i definitely in there'

In order to avoid the guards, Lucifer quietly moved through the back. He calmly opened the window and quietly jumped in. Just as he was about to land hard on the ground, he quickly rolled smoothly with his back and calmly got up, without making a single noise.

Inside the basement was dark, so Lucifer brought out a small flashlight from his bag and flashed it. He quietly walked around the place, in search of his father or any clue of him being kidnapped and kept there. But after searching through the basement for about twenty minutes, he couldn't find anything—just damaged car parts and tires packed in every corner.

'Just what on earth is going on? My father is not here. Where could they possibly keep him?'

"Clang!!"

A metal noise rang out in the basement as Lucifer unknowingly kicked a piece of stone on the floor, and it struck a metal rod lying on the side.

"What's that?" one of the security guards asked with knitted brows.

"Seems someone is inside," the second guy said with wide eyes. Then the third guy quickly began to unlock the basement door.

Hearing the key clicking in the lock, "Shit!" Lucifer cursed and quickly hid behind massive boxes that were arranged like a mountain, almost touching the high roof of the basement.

The iron doors of the basement cracked open, and the three security men rushed in with their flashlights and assault rifles pointing forward.

Lucifer hid closely behind the boxes as he carefully observed them. His gaze soon landed on one of the boxes beside him. Through the slight opening, he saw something—something like papers stacked in the box to the brim.

'What is this?' His brows furrowed in thought.

He looked closer through the opening, and his eyes suddenly narrowed.

'This... This is money!'

Lucifer's gaze trailed from below to the top of the arranged boxes that were almost hitting the roof of the basement.

'This is a bit too much.'

Lucifer noticed one of the security guards coming his way. He quickly changed position and sneaked behind another set of boxes packed at the end of the basement. Though these boxes weren't many in number compared to the ones he was hiding behind earlier.

Lucifer looked into this set of boxes, and his gaze widened.

'If I'm not wrong, these are the latest car parts manufactured from the company, which father showed me online. How did they end up here?'

"Guys, let's go. I think there is no one here," one of them said with a tired sigh.

"But didn't you hear that sound earlier?" the second guy with a brown beard asked.

"That might probably be a rat. Come on, let's go," the last guy said and started walking towards the exit. The rest sighed and followed him.

Lucifer breathed in relief and took a step back.

"Crack!"

His heel stomped on a broken car headlight on the floor, and a loud cracking sound rang out in the basement.

"Who's there!?"

The security guards, who were about to leave, quickly turned and rushed back in.

One of them flashed his torch at the boxes and saw Lucifer's hand left in the open.

"This way, behind the box!" the man shouted, and his colleagues sprang into action, heading straight towards Lucifer.

Lucifer glanced at the window at the opposite end. Without wasting time, he dashed towards end.

"Stop there, or I will shoot!" the security guards chased after him. But seeing that he wasn't stopping, they opened fire.

"Bang!—Bang!—Bang!"

A series of gunshots rang out in the basement. Lucifer quickly hid behind a broken car metal frame.

He looked below and saw a wristwatch with bloodstains on it. He picked it up, then lifted the metal car frame and used it as a shield. He came out of his hiding and made a mad dash towards the window.

The security men continued to shoot at him while he used the iron frame to block the bullets. As he got closer to the window, a bullet shot towards him and grazed his shoulder.

Right then, Lucifer threw the frame away and quickly jumped out of the basement through the window.

"Sound the alarm, there is an intruder in the mansion!" one of the security guards shouted as he chased after Lucifer.
