Bima held his breath as the tip of the blade was only millimeters from his chest. The air around him felt hollow and suffocating. The mysterious figure in front of him stood calmly, his black cloak fluttering gently in the cold night wind.
[Severe Warning! Death threat detected. Host has three seconds to activate the emergency defense protocol!]
Bima no longer cared about the system's voice booming in his head. He stared sharply past the figure's hood. "Who are you? And why do you want me dead?"
The figure didn't answer. The dagger in his hand trembled, emitting a blue aura that caused the grass around Bima to wither instantly. Bima felt his nerves tighten, his arm muscles were forced to move beyond his own control. Suddenly, an unusual system notification appeared in the form of a soft blue light.
[Emergency Mission: Target Abduction. You must bring an orphan named Dito to a surprise birthday party in the main hall. Time: 15 minutes. Failure results in total system collapse and permanent death for the Host.]
Bima’s eyes widened. "What? Now? While I’m being held at knifepoint?"
Without warning, the mysterious figure lunged. Bima rolled to the side with an unexpected burst of agility. He felt the system’s energy, which had been frozen moments ago, suddenly explode into incredible physical strength. With one swift motion, Bima grabbed the figure’s collar and slammed them against a nearby tree.
The figure was thrown back but managed to pull off a mid-air flip, landing perfectly. Bima didn’t waste the opportunity. He sprinted out of the park as fast as his legs could carry him, leaving the figure stunned by his nonsensical level of resistance.
"System, you really are a piece of work! Why Dito? He’s only ten years old!" Bima shouted as he tore through narrow alleys toward the orphanage.
[Dito is a priority target. His safety and happiness are the keys to instilling fear in your rivals. If you do not abduct him now, I will erase all your memory data concerning Rina.]
Bima skidded to a halt, his chest heaving. His breath hitched. He couldn’t let his memories of Rina vanish. Their relationship, the way she looked at him, the scent of her perfume everything was far too precious to be discarded for the sake of the system's ridiculous demands.
"Fine! I’ll bring him. But I’m not kidnapping him, I’m taking him out for some fun!" Bima grumbled, breaking back into a run.
Arriving at the orphanage, Bima saw Dito sitting on the porch, reading a comic book under the dim glow of a lamp. Dito was a quiet kid who rarely socialized. Bima approached him, still gasping for air.
"Dito, come with me," Bima said, trying to steady his breathing.
Dito looked up at Bima, his eyes rounding with suspicion. "Bima? It’s midnight. Ms. Rina said I’m not allowed to go anywhere with strangers, and you look really weird right now."
"I’m not a stranger, I’m Bima! Come on, this is important. There’s a surprise party for you at the great hall," Bima coaxed, though he felt like a total idiot saying it.
Dito stood up, still hesitant. "A party? Who’s throwing it? Is this a trap?"
Bima felt an immense wave of stress. He glanced toward the orphanage door, terrified that someone would walk out and catch him "kidnapping" a child in the middle of the night. He took Dito’s hand gently but firmly.
"Trust me. I would never hurt you," Bima whispered.
[Abduction progress: 50 percent. Deliver the subject to the target location immediately. Otherwise, a penalty will be issued within minutes.]
Bima pulled Dito along slowly but surely. They walked through the deserted city streets. Bima kept glancing over his shoulder, making sure no one was following them. With every step, he felt like the worst villain in the world, even though his only intention was to bring Dito to a safe, bright place.
When they reached the great hall usually used for community events, Bima kicked the door open. Inside, a crowd of other orphans had already gathered. They looked shocked to see Dito arriving with Bima at such an hour.
Dito looked around in wonder. "What kind of party is this?"
The other children immediately swarmed Dito, holding balloons they had gotten from who-knows-where and bursting into loud applause. Bima stood at the threshold, watching the system screen as it suddenly turned gray.

Bima let out a long sigh, his shoulders slumping. "That’s cold, System. They’re celebrating Dito’s birthday."
[The System does not care. Evil is evil, no matter how sweetly it is packaged.]
Suddenly, the hall doors swung wide. Rina stood there, her expression dead serious. She looked at Bima, then at Dito surrounded by his friends. Rina stepped closer, her aura icy and intimidating.
"Bima? What are you doing here?" Rina asked in a very low voice.
Bima went still. He felt his body lock up in shock. Rina walked right up to him, her fingers brushing against his chest. Bima could feel that cold touch radiating through his entire body, triggering a sensation he couldn’t quite define.
"I... I just wanted to give him a surprise," Bima answered in a faint whisper.
Rina locked eyes with him for a long moment, as if searching for something. Suddenly, she smiled a beautiful smile that felt incredibly dangerous. "A very sweet surprise, Bima. But next time, let me know. I almost thought you had actually turned into a monster."
Bima swallowed hard. He felt like his heart was about to stop. At that moment, a system message appeared before his eyes in a blinding gold font.
[System failure compensation: You have obtained 'Secret Skill: Deceptive Aura of Gentleness.' This ability will cause enemies to always misinterpret your villainous actions as acts of pure kindness.]
Bima blinked repeatedly. He looked at Rina, who was now meticulously straightening his collar. Her touch felt so intimate, so soft, that Bima felt his knees go weak.
"You’re so kind, Bima. Truly a sincere man," Rina praised him, her voice full of affection.
Bima could only manage a stiff smile. He knew that behind those compliments, Rina was scrutinizing his every move. Suddenly, the lights in the hall went out completely. Darkness swallowed the room. The atmosphere turned deathly silent.
In the pitch black, Bima felt someone’s arms wrap around his waist. It was Rina’s touch. It was warm, firm, and filled with a hidden passion.
"Bima," Rina whispered in his ear, her voice sounding incredibly seductive in the dark. "Now, tell me what you were really hiding in your pocket back in the park."
Bima’s heart hammered against his ribs as he felt Rina’s fingers begin to grope his pants pocket with a bold, unwavering movement. He knew this wasn't about kidnapping anymore; this was about something much deeper and more dangerous. Before Bima could utter a single word, the hall lights flickered back on, shining brightly.
Rina was standing in front of him, her face flushed beet red, her hand still inside Bima’s pocket. The orphans stood there with their eyes wide, staring at the two of them. Bima felt as if he had just walked into the most embarrassing scenario of his life, while the system in his head began to let out a horrifying mechanical laugh.

The Vigilante and the Fake Villain
The once-raucous orphanage hall instantly fell as silent as a grave. The children, who had been cheering moments ago, were now frozen with their mouths agape. They stared at Bima and Rina, who were standing in a completely nonsensical position. Rina’s hand was still buried deep in Bima’s pocket, and her face was flushed all the way to her ears. Bima’s own eyes were wide with shock, his heart nearly stopping from the sheer intensity of the embarrassment."Rina? What are you doing?" Bima asked, his voice hoarse.
