Maxwell was knocked out with a sedative so he won't struggle while being conveyed to the location he was needed.

While he was abducted outside the Morgans’ residence, Victor and Patricia who had been inside their car around the place witnessed the incident and were happy.

They thought that Maxwell had finally met his match. Maybe an unforgiving enemy who he must have crossed has decided to get back to him. With their faces beaming with smiles, they drove out of the place while Patricia placed a call across to Valerie to deliver the news.

Meanwhile, Maxwell was brought to a house with nice furnishings and was left to sleep on the Sofa. When he fell awake, his eyes met with a strange looking man staring down at him.

Swiftly, Maxwell jumped to his feet and stood a little distant away from the man. “Who are you and what do you want from me? Why have you brought me here?”

Maxwell was anxious as he glanced around the place. It was a beautiful house which was not so big. He decided to check for the documents which Angel gave to him. They were inside his large trousers pocket and still intact.

Maxwell kept glaring at the man who sat back on his Sofa, relaxed.

“I presume you're checking for the documents. Don't worry, it's all intact so you should relax.” The man spoke in a warm voice. However, Maxwell kept throwing confusing looks at him.

“How did you know about the documents?” He was stunned to hear what the man said to him.

Maybe he had checked his pocket and seen the documents. That was probably the reason he knew about it.

“What do you want from me?” Maxwell asked again and got a stunning response from the man.

“I want to help you.” He replied.

“How can you help me? I don't even know who you are and why you abducted me? What am I doing here?”

The man was quiet for a while and then sighed deeply before standing up. He walked towards the direction Maxwell was standing and stopped a little distant from him.

“You don't know me but I know you very well, Maxwell Hunt.”

Maxwell gaped at the man who had just called his complete name. What more does he know about him then?

Maxwell was curious.

“My name is Pablo and I've known you since you were a child. I've kept tabs on you from a distance. When your parents died, the Morgans threatened my life so I had to flee to this place which has been my refuge all these years.”

Maxwell was confused but became less tense when he heard the mention of his parents.

The man knew his parents and he was dying to hear more of what he knew. He wanted to hear everything Pablo knew and saw himself going to sit on the Sofa.

Pablo followed behind and sat on the sofa next to him.

“I'm sorry for forcefully bringing you here. That was the only way I knew. I had thought that you won't agree to follow the men I sent willingly so I had to do it. Once again, I'm sorry about that young master.”

“What did you just call me?”

“You're a young master, Maxwell Hunt. The only heir to the Hunts' wealth which had been swapped a long time ago.”

Maxwell swallowed hard. He already knew about it and his blood was boiling with hatred for the Morgans. They took away everything from him and made him a slave in his own home.

That was so ill of them. They were definitely the worst people he had met in his life.

To think that they couldn't let him be with the only woman he loved who happened to be their daughter.

“I know that already. Someone who worked for my late parents already told me. Unfortunately, they framed him and he was sent to a live imprisonment. I feel so bad for the man.”

Pablo was silent. He wasn't ignorant of the whole thing. If he didn't flee, he would have been one of their pawns. The Morgans probably would have gotten rid of him and gotten away with it.

How could they be so wicked?

“So what's your plan? How do you intend to take back what rightfully belongs to you?”

Maxwell lifted his face and the duo exchanged glances. “Tell me, who are you to my late parents?”

“I'm their lawyer.” Pablo replied without mincing words and this got Maxwell more stunned.

With a darkened expression, he asked the man, “How can I be sure you're saying the truth? I don't think I can believe you or trust you just because you claimed to know my parents.”

Maxwell had no doubt that the man was speaking the truth. However, he still needed some evidence.

“Hmph.” The man chuckled and curled his lips. “This is not time for doubts, it's time for action. If you really want to take back all that belongs to you, then we must act fast before it's too late.”

“Remember, the Morgans have already gotten used to your family's wealth so they won't give it up without a big fight.”

Maxwell swallowed hard. He was confused and didn't know what to say or do next. Indeed, he needed help because he won't be able to do it on his own. He also needed the services of a lawyer and had no money to employ one. However, he didn't completely trust the one who had offered his services for free.

After a moment of silence, Maxwell replied. “Ok, let's get to work then. I believe all that you said. The Morgans are ruthless indeed.”

Pablo nodded his head in understanding and began to scrutinize Maxwell. It was then that he noticed how unkempt he was.

“Maxwell, um, before we get to work, I think you need to use the bathroom and change into something better. That is after you must have shaved off all this hair.”

Maxwell smiled sheepishly and nodded his head while Pablo called a maid to take him to the visitors room.

Before turning to follow the middle aged lady, Maxwell thought of something and asked Pablo. “How do you know where to find me? I mean, your men came to me just at the right time and place. Did you get any help in finding me because I was just coming out from the prison when…”

Pausing in his words, Maxwell could not see believe his eyes. What was going on?

Maybe that's the reason you came to our home.”“Are you sure you're not the one stalking me?" Maxwell replied in a cold voice while glaring at her.“Why should I stalk you?" “I don't know. Probably because you're jobless." Maxwell said to her before walking away.Valerie got angrier and cle

What makes you think a third marriage would be any better?”"That's if I even find a good man.”"Don't say that again. You will surely find a good man.” Patricia quickly hushed her.“And about Maxwell, you can't count your marriage with him. We both know it was almost like you two were never married." “But we were married and I'm going to count it. It can't completely be ignored since I also signed a marriage license with him.” Valerie quickly retorted and tossed the divorce papers aside before standing up from her bed. With a darkened expression, she walked away from her Mom and went to sit on her dressing table, staring right back at her reflection. She still got her pretty face but she sure looked like someone who had been through a lot.Her face was not as bright as it used to b

Don't underestimate them." “Alright. Thank you Pablo." “And you should start going around with bodyguards to keep you safe.” Pablo ended the call afterwards.Maxwell turned to Wyatt and apologized. “I'm sorry about that. I just had to get confirmation on certain things.”"It's ok, Maxwell.” Wyatt responded before thinking to himself.‘It's not just the Morgans you should be wary of, Maxwell. Get ready for what's coming from me’.Wyatt smiled at Maxwell and lifted up his glass of beer. “Cheers to life, friendship and many victories ahead." Maxwell smiled back at him and also lifted his glass. “Cheers." The two friends shared more drinks until they had enough. Maxwell then stood up, he was a little drunk b

However, Wyatt only faked a smile before responding.“Tell me the truth, Maxwell. Have you fallen in love with Angel?" Maxwell was taken unawares by the question. He swallowed hard and let out a sigh before giving Wyatt a response.“No. I don't have any feelings for her. So tell me where the question is coming from." “What makes you think that I'm in love with her." “Because you seemed to care a lot about her lately. Do you remember the time I called you and you thought it was that Angel girl.” Wyatt smirked.“I was just worried about her, that's all. Yo

After giving each of them an intense look, Valerie replied to them. “Are you talking about the court case with Maxwell which I did not tell Maurice about.”"Yes. Is that the reason your marriage with Maurice is over?”“No, that's not the reason. It was because Maurice's company was experiencing a big loss. He had to take it out on me and that was how I lost my pregnancy." “But what does it have to do with Maxwell?" “He's the one who targeted Maurice's business and made him go bankrupt." Valerie replied and angrily bit her teeth while seriously fuming.Just in a very short time, she's lost her baby and her marriage. Her parents had also lost all the wealth they owned.Anaya and Silver exchanged glances before sympathizing with her.“We're so sorry about everything that is happening to you."
