‘Sara sleeps so easily.’ Carl Gerald remained dumbfounded at how quickly she slept.

The group had just arrived at the Villa. As Carl Gerald gazed around he couldn’t help but gasp how the villa lights beautified the night environment.

“General, please get a good nights’ rest.” Debra commented. “That troublemaker will be here to help you with security during the nighttime.”

“I can hear you!” Juliet scoffed, hugging the dashboard of the car. Debra Zach had a very good way with words both positively, and negatively. Juliet, unfortunately became a victim that very night.

‘I’m glad she’s not my enemy.’ Carl Gerald sucked in a cold breath.

“I’ll be taking my leave then, if you have a response, please do well to reach out to me before 11am prompt.” Debra Zach remained formal.

“I will. Thank you for today, Miss Debra, and Miss Juliet. I really appreciate it.”

Upon that statement, both their eyes widened. Even the mentally wounded Juliet couldn’t help but muster a surprised expression.

Detective Steve, Lieutenant Alex, Sara Gerald and Mrs Juliet Marcus were all just as surprised as General Carl Gerald. No one could believe what had just escaped from the mouth of Mr Eliot.Just as Mr Eliot was about to speak, Sara rolled her eyes, her sarcasm biting.“Oh, sure, now you’re the poster boy for family values.”“You’ve been spying for Lara Peterson, Doctor Marvin, Nurse Angela and Nurse Sabrina and now you’re begging us to save your brother?”“Forgive me if I don’t buy the waterworks.”Lieutenant Alex leaned forward, his voice cold. “You better not be playing us, Mr Eliot. If that code’s fake, or if we walk into a trap, you’re not walking out of that warehouse. Got it?”Detective Steve cracked his knuckles, his tone matching Lieutenant Alex’s.“Yeah, and don’t think we’re gonna hold your hand.”“You’re coming with us, cuffed or not. One wrong move, and you’re done.”General Carl Gerald's voice cut through, commanding. “Enough. We’re moving.”“Mrs Juliet Marcus, keep thos

  • Chapter 179:

Mrs Juliet Marcus’s fingers paused on her keyboard, her voice sharp. “I’m pulling more data now. Cams show no movement at the warehouse, but that could change.”“If we go in, we need to be surgical—get in, get Debra Zachs, get out.”“Waiting for Victor Tyler might give us more muscle, but it also gives Lara Peterson, Nurse Sabrina, Nurse Angela and Doctor Marvin time to slip away.”“Or worse, set up an ambush for us immediately if they spot or sense anything unusual in that environment.”Lieutenant Alex grinned, his tone playful but edged with steel.“Ambush? Let ‘em try. I’d love to see Nurse Sabrina’s face when we burst through that back door.”“Code or no code, we’re getting in there. I say we move.”Detective Steve nodded, his voice gritty. “Yeah, and I’m not sitting around waiting for Victor Tyler to steal the show.”“Mr Eliot’s already given us the layout—two guards, pistols, maybe a shotgun.”“We can handle that. Let’s end this before Lara Peterson and her crew know what hit ‘

  • Chapter 178:

The comms crackled faintly, the last echoes of Victor Tyler’s voice fading from General Carl’s earpiece. General Carl Gerald immediately lowered the device, his jaw tight, and turned to face his team—Sara Gerald, Mrs. Juliet Marcus, Lieutenant Alex, and Detective Steve. Their eyes locked on him, waiting for his next words, the tension was quite thick enough to choke on.“Victor Tyler’s on his way,” General Carl said, his voice low but steady. “He'll be here in an hour.”“He said he wants to be part of taking down Lara Peterson and Doctor Marvin himself.”Sara Gerald leaned forward, her arms crossed, her trademark sarcasm lacing her tone.“An hour? That’s cute.”“What are we supposed to do, sit here and braid each other’s hair while Debra Zachs and Martinez—if he’s even real—are stuck in that warehouse?”“I say we move now.”Lieutenant Alex, leaning against the van’s wall, his rifle resting across his knees, snorted. “Yeah, I’m with Sara Gerald on this one!”“Victor Tyler’s got his o

  • Chapter 177:

Sara Gerald's eyes narrowed, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Believe you? Mr Eliot, you’ve been spying on us for weeks, and now you’re crying about your brother?”“You’ll forgive me if I don’t hand you a tissue. What’s Nurse Angela, Nurse Sabrina, Doctor Marvin and Lara Peterson’s next move?”“Why hit our mansion? Why take Debra Zachs?”Mr Eliot swallowed hard, his hands shaking continuously. “The mansion… it was a warning. Lra Peterson knew it was from Victor Tyler, and said burning it would hit you where it hurts the most.”“Debra Zachs… they took her because she knows too much. She overheard Doctor Marvin and Lara Peterson talking about some deal—big money, something about the Elite Divisions. I don’t know the details, I swear!” Mr Eliot's voice was laced with a mixture of confusion and anxiety as he spoke. He tried to look at Sara Gerald but was immediately gripped by fear and anxiety.Mrs Juliet Marcus’s fingers paused on her laptop, her voice sharp. “Big money, huh? That’s n

  • Chapter 176:

Victor Tyler's voice was cold and detached, General Carl Gerald was immediately touched by his words.'Victor Tyler was actually right, it was those bastards who had killed his mother, Mrs Amber Gerald and they are at large at the moment. His thoughts went on rampage. General Carl Gerald's eyes hardened at the mention of his mother, murdered by Lex’s family years ago.“I hear you, Victor Tyler. We’re on it. Mrs Juliet Marcus's pulling data on the warehouse, and my team’s covering me.”“Mr Eliot’s not going anywhere until we get answers.”“It's either he tells us what we need to know or we take him out once and for all!”“We will no longer have opposers to the military force stand up again, especially not after clearing the whole eastern border.”“I and my team rid the eastern border of those bad bloods, I will not stand to have any form of antagonism from them, especially from Lara Peterson, Doctor Marvin, Nurse Angela and Nurse Sabrina.” General Carl Gerald said as he stared at Mr E

  • Chapter 175:

Victor Tyler’s voice rang through the line, loud enough for the team to hear even without comms. “General Carl Gerald, what am I hearing about your mansion? What the hell happened?”General Carl Gerald's jaw tightened, his eyes still staring at Mr Eliot, who shrank under his gaze.“Victor Tyler, it’s a mess.”“I don't know who actually sponsored this whole shitty operation.”“The mansion’s gone—burned to the ground last night.”“We’ve got evidence pointing to Lara Peterson’s syndicate. They hit us hard, probably to send a message.”“I’m in the middle of something right now, dealing with a lead.”Victor Tyler's voice roared back, thick with anger. “A message? That mansion was my gift to you and Sara!”“I poured my heart into that place, General Carl Gerald, that mansion cost me a lot of billions of dollars and now you’re telling me it’s ash?”“Lara Peterson’s crew did this? You better have names, because I’m not letting this slide!”“I will not let any of those animals mess around with
