Chapter 40

Selena woke up early in the morning, feeling a sense of determination that she had not felt in a long time. She got out of bed, stretched her arms and legs, and took a deep breath. The events of the previous night were still fresh in her mind, but she was determined to move forward.

She quickly got dressed in her battle gear and went to the dining hall for breakfast. As she ate, she thought about the events of the upcoming day. She knew that she and Kevin had a lot of work to do, but she was ready for the challenge.

After breakfast, Selena went to meet with Kevin to discuss their plans for the day. They talked about the logistics of their operation and strategized about the best way to approach Caleb's kingdom. Selena listened carefully to Kevin's ideas, but she was still hesitant about the risks involved.

As they talked, Selena noticed that Kevin was acting strangely. He was more aggressive and domineering than usual, and his eyes seemed to have a cold, calculating gleam in them.
