“Here this should be the place right? Looks like a nice spot.”

Followed by the rumbling sounds of an engine dying off a black a motorcycle stopped at the entrance of the Freetown convienence store. Taking off the helmet, the rider turned out to be none other than Ethan.

“Luckily I was able to get here before nightfall.”

By now the sun had just fully set and everywhere had gone dark. He really was lucky.

After removing the key from the ignition and ensuring that everything was set,he started to make his way into the store but not before grabbing his weapons.

Pushing the double glass doors open,he entered with utmost caution while gripping the saber with both hands, the sniper rifle on his back. Taking slow steps to minimize the noise from stepping on the shattered glass he soon fully entered. There was no way anything would catch him off guard like this!

After entering though it seemed like there was nothing to worry about as there was no sign of a monster in the vicinity. Except for the empty shelves that had been looted and the random objects scattered on the floor there was no sign of anything inside here.

The same thing went to the middle and top floors.

“Phew!”

With the absence of monsters he was saved from the trouble of battling them which would inevitably lead to his position being exposed.

Yet without dropping his guard,he started to explore every part of the store in detail—at least the middle floor he was planning to stay for the night if not all the floors.

“Seems like the coast’s clear.”

Satisfied he nodded before starting to set his things down but not before wheeling his motorcycle up to the middle floor using the disabled staircase of course!

That done ,he proceeded to sit on the floor.

The reason he chose the Freezone store was not because of size even though it was also a contributing factor, nor was it the location, rather it was because it was the one with the most suitable layout. It was somehow like a bridge between a store and a mall.

Well before the apocalypse started he already knew this place, not that he went shopping that much but anytime he did he was super observant of his surroundings probably due to his paranoia.

The logic behind his choice was very simple, malls were usually big and posssed many shops that he could just crash in and normal ground stores were easier to escape from they both had an inherent disadvantage in the apocalypse.

They were easy for monsters to get into!

Take the mall for instance,it was inevitable that with the many shops and facilities built into them monsters would definitely be attracted to it due to the fact that there would be humans who were already staying there or it was nice as a hiding place.

For stores that were a single floor, they were even more risky as they usually only had one door making them a prison in the event a monster really came.

Thus buildings like the Freetown store that had a store based design yet employed a Mall's storying were the best. Coupled with the huge windows he could just break through them with his bike if a monster actually was able to get up to this side of the stairs.

CLICK!

Holding up the sniper rifle,he could help but smile as he watched the reflection of the moon bounce off against it. A closer look would reveal that it wasn't the old rifle he used the last time. Instead it was the popular military grade Barrett M107 sniper rífle.

Immediately the sun rose the next day after that meeting in the command centre,he was brought to the camp's armory to select his weapons. He fell in love with the M107 the moment he saw it.

After some crazy modifications from Mike(which surprised him as he never knew that Mike was into guns) the M107 had new look. It size and weight had gone up a notch while it now sported this shimmering metallic look that exuded coldness at a glance. The size and weight increase were made just to cater for the bullets. Istead of the traditional .50 caliber rounds that came with the rifle, his modified version worked with a .75 type that was much more destructive than the ordinary .50. Furthermore, Mike also created some weird bullets like this one he was holding now with three spirals running through its length and another that looked like it had a cold with it's pointy red tip. There were up to five others like that that he wasn't even sure what they did. However one thing he was sure of was that they brought up the whole game to the next level!

Setting the gun aside,he grabbed the sabre which was equally black with a bone chilling coldness emitting from it just lie the rifle.at first glance it might look like it was painted but that wasnt the case, rather it was made from the leg bones of the demon king ape and some meteorites making it super strong while also being flexible meaning that it wouldn't break easily and as you might have guessed the maker was none other than Mike.

“What the hell was Mike even doing before the apocalypse?"

Observing the gleaming blade,Ethan thought. That guy either had to be a weapons dealer or something cause how would he explain all the crazy weapon creation and modification skills he had?

Even the motorcycle had been modified by him!

Patting his leather jacket,he felt the remaining weapons such as the throwing knives and mini bombs. There were still some in a hidden compartment of the motorcycle that he hadn't touched. Those were for emergencies.

After making sure that all his equipment were ready and okay in case of emergencies,Ethan lied against the floor while staring at the ceiling. While these weapons made him excited to use them,he also felt an invincible weight on his shoulders.

“I guess I'll take it one at a time, for now I need to rest first."

There was still a long journey ahead of him tomorrow so he couldn't afford to waste any chance to get some rest. Who knew if tomorrow would be just constant battles…

BOOM BOOM BOOM

WOOSH

He had just closed his eyes when suddenly explosions rang out causing him to jump to his feet. Rushing towards the window,he was able to see explosions occuring at countless intervals which lit up the face of if a giant monster that looked like a two legged lizard. Although he was far away, nearly about two districts away,he was still able to make out the five person group on the ground battling against the monster.

BOOM! BOOM!! BOOM!!!

With the rate they were firing RPG’s at the monster and it still had the strength to fight,he had a hunch that it had to be a commander at the very least.

“Nah,there's no need for that!"

At first he was tempted and wanted to try out the modified M107 but then thought against it as fong so would give him nothing. Furthermore, they seemed to be holding in pretty fine.

Turning back down,he soon settled and soon he was asleep.

Demon fang mountain Countless military trucks and armoured tanks with the AADAF central military base logo could be seen making their way over the rugged mountain terrain. Despite how bad the road was,the vehicles hardly shook all thanks to how well designed they were. At a single glance there were about thirty vehicles here! “Halt! Where here." Inside the drivers compartment of each of the vehicles General Lebronsky's voice could be heard causing every car to come to a stop. “Fall into formation now!" Giving the next order, the soldiers in each of the trucks quickly rushed out of the vehicles before falling into neat formations. Clearly they had practiced this for a while now. Walking out of the military jeep that he was in , General Lebronsky along with the other powermasters from the volunteering camps made their way over. “Men…were here. This is the lair of the Xenogenic Alpha blade. I'm sure that your leaders have already explained the situation to you so I won't

Afternoon. The time of the day when the sun was at its peak. Due to the special geography of Barnes city and it's environs it received a lot of sun daily. The highest temperature recorded in the day had once reached a staggering 41 degrees Celsius! While today's temperature wasn't that high it was still hot enough to cause one to sweat bullets. With how hot everywhere was the best thing to do right now would be to sleep and that was what the sentrys of the AADAF base were currently doing. While you might accuse them of slacking off on duty they couldn't really be blamed. Furthermore, the probably wouldn't have anything to do since the monsters that were supposed to attack them would be busy battling the Hellstrike expedition force so they really wouldn't have much to do. The strike force had left the camp over two hours ago and by now they should just be approaching the mountain range, the battle that would decide if humans could continue settling around this area would soon begi

Inside the AADAF central base. The sounds of equipment and artillery being moved around could be heard in the base. Countless personnel were on ground to direct and coordinate the activities currently ongoing. WOOSH, WOOSH, WOOSH! Over a dozen armoured vans wheezed by as they drove towards a mini parking lot where they halted while military grade trucks reversed so that the ammunitions and supplies could be placed in them. Operation Hellstrike commenced today! Well technically not today as it had started ever since General Lebronsky first tabled the idea. However,in a sense it was still right as this was the first time that something tangible would be done. Previously the only thing being done was just preparations, today was the day that they would really advance to put the operation in motion. “Today finally came!" Standing at the edge of the window of the finally completed command center general Lebronsky muttered under his breath as he watched the proceedings bel

On the highway leading out of Barnes city,a truck could be seen rushing past the buildings . There was a black motorcycle in the back while four people consisting of three men and a lady sat surrounding it. Inside the truck there were two men,one driving while the other was well not really doing anything bringing the total to six. Suddenly from one of the abandoned houses on the side of the road a tiger like monster suddenly jumped out with the intention of ambushing the truck. However, before it could even step on the asphalt, there was a bang and it fell on the spot having received a bullet to the head. Blowing the smoke off the tip of the gun,the shooter proceeded to place the weapon by his side while watching the number faces of his co travellers. As you might have guessed, the group was none other than Ethan and the five man group from earlier in the day. They were currently travelling together to the AADAF central base. Concerning the event that happened in the morning,
